Chapter 4: Team Assignments and Teammate Teases
The morning of graduation arrived like a kunai thrown from point-blank range—fast, unavoidable, and destined to hit something vital.
Tenten stood in front of her small mirror, adjusting the final knot in her twin buns. The red qipao felt tighter today, or maybe her body just felt… more. The system's passive perks had been working subtly: skin smoother, curves a fraction more pronounced, the way the fabric clung to her hips now carried an unintentional invitation. She tugged at the hem, trying to ignore how the side slits rode higher with every breath.
(One month since transmigration. One month of flashing, teasing, and slowly losing my mind. And today we officially become genin. Team assignments. Guy-sensei. Neji. Lee. This is either going to be heaven or hell… or both.)
The system chimed in bright, teasing pink text across her vision.
[Graduation Day Special Event Unlocked!][Passive Bonus: All flirtatious or exhibitionist acts performed today gain +25% effectiveness toward building team bonds (and other things~)][New Task Issued: Team Bonding Flash]Objective: During the team assignment ceremony or immediately after, create an "accidental" exposure lasting at least fifteen seconds in front of at least one teammate. Bonus if it happens in front of the entire new team and/or sensei. Reward: +20% team synergy chakra sharing (minor link to teammates' reserves during joint jutsu) Failure Penalty: -10% coordination with assigned team for first week Time Limit: Before end of day
Tenten groaned aloud.
(Fifteen seconds? In front of Gai-sensei? He'll probably turn it into a motivational speech about youthful vulnerability!)
She grabbed her weapon pouches—now noticeably heavier with the system's minor upgrades to storage seals—and headed out.
The academy courtyard was packed. Banners fluttered in the breeze. Parents lined the edges, cameras flashing (well, the civilian ones; ninja families just used discreet recording seals). Iruka-sensei stood on the platform, scroll in hand, voice booming with practiced pride.
"Today marks the beginning of your lives as shinobi of the Hidden Leaf! You've trained, you've bled, you've grown. Now, you step forward as adults—ready to protect, to serve, to endure!"
Cheers erupted. Naruto whooped loudest, fist pumping the air. Sakura rolled her eyes but smiled. Sasuke looked bored. Ino whispered something to Shikamaru that made him sigh dramatically.
Tenten slipped into the back row, heart hammering.
(Just get through the ceremony. Then maybe I can fake a stomachache and run home.)
Iruka began reading team assignments.
"Team 7: Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, Sasuke Uchiha. Jonin sensei: Kakashi Hatake."
Naruto leapt up. "YES! Believe it!"
"Team 8: Hinata Hyuga, Kiba Inuzuka, Shino Aburame. Jonin sensei: Kurenai Yuhi."
"Team 10: Ino Yamanaka, Shikamaru Nara, Choji Akimichi. Jonin sensei: Asuma Sarutobi."
And then—
"Team Guy: Rock Lee, Neji Hyuga, Tenten. Jonin sensei: Might Guy."
Gai appeared in a swirl of green leaves and dramatic pose, thumbs-up blazing.
"My youthful prodigies! Today our flames of youth ignite as one! We shall burn brighter than the sun itself!"
Lee was already crying happy tears. Neji sighed, arms crossed. Tenten felt her face heat up just looking at them.
(Okay. Team assigned. Now the hard part: the task.)
The new teams gathered in small clusters around the courtyard. Gai immediately herded his trio to a shaded corner near the weapon racks.
"First order of business!" Gai declared, flexing so hard his jumpsuit creaked. "Introduce yourselves with youthful vigor! Share your dreams, your passions, your burning desire to surpass all limits!"
Lee went first, of course.
"I am Rock Lee! I have no talent for ninjutsu or genjutsu, but my taijutsu will one day surpass even the mightiest! My dream is to prove that hard work defeats genius! And Tenten—your weapons mastery inspires me to push harder every day!"
He spun toward her with sparkling eyes.
Neji spoke next, voice cool.
"Neji Hyuga. My goal is to prove that destiny can be overcome through strength alone."
He glanced at Tenten—brief, but deliberate.
She swallowed.
"I'm Tenten. I specialize in bukijutsu—weapons of all kinds. My dream is… to become strong enough that no one ever overlooks me again. To be someone who matters in a fight."
Gai wiped a tear.
"Such passion! Such fire! Now—let us seal our bond with a team warm-up! Fifty laps around the training field, carrying each other in pairs!"
Lee cheered. Neji looked resigned.
Tenten's stomach dropped.
(Carrying each other? Physical contact? Wind? This is a setup.)
Gai paired them: Lee with himself (somehow), Neji with Tenten.
"Youth demands trust! Carry your teammate on your back and run! Feel the weight of comradeship!"
Neji knelt without complaint.
"Get on."
Tenten hesitated, then climbed onto his back—arms around his neck, thighs clamping his waist. His hands hooked under her knees.
The moment he stood, she felt it: the loose side ties of her qipao, still not properly fastened from this morning's nerves, began to slip.
(No. Not now. Not while I'm plastered against Neji's back.)
Neji started running—smooth, powerful strides that made her bounce slightly with each step.
The wind whipped through the courtyard.
Fabric parted.
Her right thigh slid fully exposed, then more—hip, the curve of her ass cheek peeking from under the hem, white cotton stark against skin. Fifteen seconds? Try twenty. Thirty.
Lee, running beside them carrying Gai piggyback (because of course), spotted it immediately.
"Such dynamic form, Tenten! Your youthful flexibility is on full display!"
Gai gave a thumbs-up over Lee's shoulder.
"Embrace the exposure of spirit! Let no fabric bind your potential!"
Neji's grip on her thighs tightened—just a fraction.
His voice came low, near her ear.
"…Your clothing appears compromised again."
Tenten buried her face in his shoulder, mortified.
"I—I know! It's the wind! And the running! And—everything!"
But even as she said it, heat pooled low in her belly. His body was warm, solid, moving with lethal grace beneath her. Every bounce pressed her chest against his back. She could feel his heartbeat accelerate.
(He's not stopping. He's not even slowing down. Is he… enjoying this?)
The system sang.
[Task 4: Completed! Bonus Achieved – Entire team + sensei witness. Extended duration: 42 seconds.][Reward Granted: +20% team synergy chakra sharing – You can now faintly draw from Neji or Lee's reserves during joint techniques (increases with repeated contact)][Bonus Reward Unlocked: 'Carried Tease' passive – Physical carrying situations now have 30% higher chance of wardrobe failure + increased teammate arousal response][Shamelessness Level: 5/100. You're blooming, Host~ ♡]
They completed the laps. Neji set her down gently—almost tenderly.
His ears were red again.
Lee clapped her on the back.
"Your spirit shines even when your attire does not! We must train harder to protect such vulnerability!"
Gai nodded sagely.
"Indeed! Tomorrow we begin D-rank missions! But tonight—rest, reflect, and prepare your hearts for the road ahead!"
As the team dispersed, Neji lingered.
"Tenten."
She turned, still flushed.
"Yeah?"
He stepped closer—close enough that she had to tilt her head up.
"If such… incidents continue, inform me. I can… assist with adjustments."
His tone was flat, but his eyes held something new. Interest. Maybe hunger.
Tenten's mouth went dry.
(Did Neji just offer to help me fix my clothes? Or… something else?)
"I—um—thanks. I'll… keep that in mind."
He nodded once, then walked away—posture perfect, but pace a touch slower than usual.
Tenten stood there, wind tugging at her still-loose qipao, heart racing.
The system whispered one last tease for the day.
[Daily Wrap-Up: Four tasks complete this week. Cumulative exposure witnesses: 42 unique. Teammate flirtation progress: Neji 18%, Lee 12%.][Upcoming Task 5 Preview: First D-Rank Mission – Make it… memorable.]
She laughed—quiet, shaky, half-hysterical.
(Team Guy. Perverted system. Graduation day. I think I just signed up for the weirdest genin experience in Konoha history.)
And deep down, beneath the embarrassment, a small, wicked part of her was already looking forward to tomorrow.
