Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

After being scolded by the an ancient god for using her name in Vain, Rostam looked outside and saw that the Winds have stopped and the was lighter but it was still dark.

"Wonder who Drove off Dvalin? I really need a report from Jean's side to get the full picture on what went down." Rostam muttered as he soon heard a knock on his door as a Knight peeked in.

"Acting grand master, you have a Fatui that is seeking your audience." "Tell them the same thing I said to their subordinates, if they refuse then Kick them out of Mondstadt. I'll deal with the consequences the Harbinger might give Myself." The knight bowed his head and went back to the Diplomat.

"Honestly, Have they never heard of the term "Respect is earned, Not given." Cause they are nothing but Children in Adult bodies that wants everything handed to them in a sliver platter." Rostam sighs as he sat down and continues his work but a knight came in with a new stack of Paperwork and Rostam couldn't help but groan in suffering.

"Varka... Once you come back from Nod-krai, I am going to strangle you!!" Rostam Fumes as the Knight that deliver the Paperwork suddenly left the office as he went towards Jean to warn her.

(Meanwhile)

"Thank you for your-" "Acting Grand Master Jean!" Jean was cut off as everyone in the room suddenly turned towards the Knight that barges in.

"We have a code Blue! I Repeat, A code Blue!" The Knight soon left as he went towards the other knights to set up defenses.

"I'm so sorry for this Lumine but I must go Now." Jean soon ran out the door as the sound of hurried footsteps can be heard.

"Um... Is that normal?" Lumine asked as Paimon floated beside her, curious as well. Kaeya and the others Nodded at her question as they had a worried look on their faces .

"We should probably go before the entire building collapses." Kaeya said as he pushed Lumine and Paimon out of Jean's office.

"Oh dear... Seems like little Rostam is raging again, Maybe big sis should go and calm him down." Lisa said as Kaeya shot her a look as she pouts a bit.

"Don't put more fuel to the fire Lisa, Or else the Headquarters will be nothing but dust and Burn marks." Kaeya said as they all reached the front door of the head quarters.

They soon felt the ground shake as more knights entered the Building, Carrying Shields and barricades with them.

"Paimon isn't sure if she should be curious on what Acting Grand Master Rostam is doing to cause this type of commotion or be scared on what happens when all the Knights are taken down." Paimon sweats as Five Knights flew out of the windows as they landed of the ground harshly.

"It's best if you don't find out dear." Lisa said as she guides them towards Mondstadt's gate, Soon Nuns from the Church began to Help/heal the downed Knights as more knights began to fly out of the Headquarters.

"Someone call Sister Barbara, Master Rostam has Finally lost it again!" A Nun ordered one of the Knights that just arrived nodded as two went towards the church while the rest headed inside the Headquarters to calm down the raging Rostam.

"I'm Gonna Kill That Bastard!!" "Rostam! Calm Down, Please!!" "Hit the dirt, Master Rostam is going to use his Vision!!" Soon an explosion was heard as cracks began to appear at the outside of the Headquarters, soon more knights stumble outside of the headquarters before fainting.

(Meanwhile)

"Oh dear... Seems like Rostam has Finally lost it again." The woman sighs as she remembered what the Fatui Diplomat had told her earlier.

"Can you believe the nerve on that bastard Lady Signora! I asked to seek an audience with the bastard and he just denies me and asked for you instead! I suggest we kil-GAH!!" The Diplomat fell as La Signora looks at him with cold eyes as she looked at the others behind her, as they immediately got the body and went away as Signora sighed as her irritation was at it's peak.

"To dare to even suggest killing my Rostam, I'll have those fools heads on a silver platter." Signora Mumbles as she looked back at the Knights of Favonius Headquarters as she lets out tired sigh.

"It seems both of us are having a hard time at work... Right, Rostam?" She had a sad smile on her face as she could see the Nuns of the church healing/helping the wounded as more knights are thrown out.

"Still remembered how we first met... I really thought I had finally lost it but I was glad... I was glad that everything was real." Signora looked at her pendant as she remembered their reunion.

(A few months ago, After Varka's departure)

"Speak now, I've got no time to for you or your petty politics." Signora says as she was planning on how to obtain the Gnosis from the Anemo Archon.

"Lady Signora, Forgive my intrusion but I Was told by the Newly appointed Acting Grand Master that he will not waste his time with us. Can you believe it?! That Bastard called Us spoiled brats and only asked to only meet you, I never..." The Diplomat began to complain again as Signora was really hating the new routine recently.

"Honestly... I don't blame that new grand Master for denying to meet them, these fools only cared about is money and power." Signora sighed as she continues to ignore the ramblings of a mad Diplomat as she focused on the current one of the two Acting Grand Masters.

The First was The Dandelion Knight, Jean Gunnhildr, A somewhat serious figure but after meeting her once. Signora could confidently say that if Jean was the only one with the Acting Grand Master title, Mondstadt would be Easy to Exploit. With Jean as Acting Grand Master she would have been overworked to the point that the Diplomats would have an easy time Coaxing her into their little schemes, Even so far as to show her prices of Materials that were horrendously Expensive but were very cheap in other markets in other nations.

But the problem was that she was in charge of the Knights of Favonius, Not Mondstadt's Politics and Government. That one was reserved to a Man named after her beloved.

"Wolflord Rostam, Second Acting Grand Master, Head of both Civil and Foreign Affairs, And Deputy Master of the Knights of Favonius..." Signora had a pensive look on her face as she was used to saying Rostam's title that was less of a mouthful but also add the somewhat adorable title she learned about him .

Wolf pup Rostam, Deputy Master of the Knights of Favonius.

"He was always embarrassed when we always add the Wolf pup into his introduction." Signora had a small smile on her face as she slowly went towards the meeting place that the second acting grand master had decided to hold at.

"Halt! This is a restricted area, only the head of both the church and Knights of Favonius are allowed access here!" Soon four knights surrounded Signora as they had their sword and spears aimed at her.

"Oh~? It is quite rare to see polearm/spear wielders in the ranks of the Knights of Favonius." And it wasn't a joke, compared to Liyue and Sumeru where you can see many of their warriors with Spears/Polearms, Mondstadt always preferred Swords and Bows... But it was because of the aristocrats see the spear/polearm as undignified and out right dishonorable.

"Wait... Are you by chance the Harbinger of the Fatui?" The Nun that ran outside to see the commotion saw the see and somewhat recognized the woman with the mask.

"It seems someone finally noticed but in case you are wondering, Yes... I am the Eight Harbinger, La Signora." The grips on the Knights weapons tighten as they glared at Signora with anger and cautiousness.

"...Then please follow Me... Grand Master Rostam is currently waiting at the private room we have here." The Nun hold her tongue as she "politely" asked Signora to follow her in.

Signora soon follow her but she was followed by the four knights from before as they surround Signora as they sometimes glared at her direction but she ignores them as she find it amusing that they try to intimidate her, standing at the doors entrance was a Veteran Knight as he was more composed and more powerful than the four knights besides her. it was rare to see some Veteran knights as she remembered from her spies that the Grand Master had brought the Bulk of the Knights of Favonius with him, the Nun open the door as Signora walks in. Signora looked around and saw the room as presentable to her taste but she was confused of the absence of Rostam.

"Welcome, please take a seat I'll be there shortly." Signora sat at the couch as she wondered what the Second Acting Grand Master was doing, the side door soon opens as her eyes widen at the man before her.

"Sorry about that, just wanted to make some... Tea..." Rostam entered the room as he held a tea tray in his hands as he placed it on the table, he soon turned towards Signora as his eyes soon widen.

"R-R-Rostam...?" Signora shakily asked as her emotions were a jumbled mess.

"R-Rosalyne?" Rostam slowly bend down as he wanted to get a better look on her face.

Sugnira's eyes widen as she finally saw his face, his eyes was different from the ones she knew but the Worry in them still held the same feelings all those years ago. " This can't be... Your not him... You're not..." Signora denies as Rostam held a look of concern.

"Do I really look the same, my current self is so much different from my old self." Rostam wonders as he new that his current looks were a far cry from his old one but somehow both Alice and Rosalyne seemed to identify him easily.

"Rostam you idiot!! Now is not the time for that!So stop standing around and help Rosalyn." Rostam soon knelt towards Signora as he gently held her hand as he looks at her.

"Rosalyne... Are you truly okay?" Sugnira's mouth was quivering as she barely held her emotions in check, it has been so long since her Rostam last worried about her. To her, it felt like a dream, a dream she was scared that it was fake and she would wake up in room... Alone... And unloved... She was scared that the man before her was an illusion created by her mind to torture her, the same nightmare that haunted her to this very day. So in an attempt to know if he was real or not, she wanted to ask him the one thing both her and Rostam knew.

"...When did we first met?" Signora asked as she wanted to make sure this is her Rostam and not some wannabe illusion who wanted to play with her feelings.

"Huh?" "When did we first meet?" Rostam blinked as Signora questions again, Rostam finally understood her intensions as he looked at her with a sad but nostalgic looked.

"...It was nearing Autumn, it was a sunny afternoon, I just got back from training a new batch of knights and wanted to rest before going back home. I was currently resting at the square enjoying the sun and the breeze, until I heard you..." Rostam looked at Signora as he could see her eyes widen as they began to glossen.

"It was the most beautiful song I ever heard, I once thought of asking on having a copy of it but I didn't. I didn't want to be seen as a creep to you or someone that wanted to profit off of your hard work, so I held my tongue and listen. I remembered that I use to come to the square to listen to your songs, it was three times a Month when I first started listening to your songs but it soon began to be 7 times a week but after months of listening to your songs It then became every afternoon, It grew out of control to the point where I sometimes got there extra early. Hoping to catch you singing when there wasn't a crowd, to have your singing all to myself as if you were performing for me.

At first it was a selfish desire but the more I listen, the more I wanted that selfish wish of mine to come true. Until one day, I noticed your songs change from those you usually sung to a song about love. I thought my hearing was wrong so got closer but the moment I got closer it became softer, quieter even, and when I looked at you. I saw your face, gentle and shy, trying your best to hid the embarrassment as your ears and face turned into an adorable shade of red."

"R-R-Rostam!!" Signora's face turned scarlet as Rostam had a satisfied smile on his face.

"But most importantly, I had this..." Rostam pulled out a rusted and dented locket as he opened it up as it held a worn out Portrait of Signora, Smiling as she was wearing her Akademiya robes.

"A Pendant that we both commissioned to be made together, forge from the same elemental crystal we've both collected when we we're gathering materials for your Akademia robes." Rostam held the pendant gently as he can see the other pendant was around her neck as well.

The pendants were made from the same crystal and as such, they were one of a kind. Two pendants forge from one Elemental crystal, a surprise that they both cherished deeply. Signora's eyes soon shed tears as she finally let herself go.

"ROSTAM!!" Signora soon clung to Rostam so tightly that he almost felt like his ribs were going to be crushed, he didn't expect Signora to be this strong but it has been years since their last encounter. So it comes to reason she became more powerful as time went by, he soon hugged her back as her sobs increased tenfold. Seeing this reaction made Rostam placed a gentle hand on her back as he gently soothes her.

(Back to the present)

"It was quite embarrassing to breakdown Infront of him... But I would rather have that than to never see him again." Signora looked at the headquarters as she saw the Nun idol of Mondstadt entering the Building and soon the chaos ended as her singing was heard, Signora hums a slight tune as she remembered her days of singing in the square. Hoping for the Wulf pup to appear and listen to her songs.

"We shall meet again soon... My dear Rostam." Signora smiled as she quietly hums to herself as she went towards the hotel to rest and relax.
