Dante's voice dropped, rough and controlled.
"Has love become a joke to you?"
Edric laughed under his breath, not looking up. "If it were real," he said quietly, "I'd never laugh at it."
That did it.
Dante stepped in, too close, forcing Edric back until there was nowhere left to retreat. Fingers caught his jaw—not cruel, but unyielding—tilting his face up.
"Look at me," Dante said.
Edric did. And for a split second, the mask cracked.
"You don't get to pretend this means nothing," Dante continued, eyes burning. "Not after everything."
Edric swallowed. His voice wavered despite himself. "You think this is easy for me?"
Dante leaned in, close enough that their breaths collided.
"Let me show you what is love tonight when you scream my fucking name
Edric" he growls while staring deep into his brown eyes and Boom.....! Attack
