Chen looked at Janna in her blue bird form. She was currently perched on a wooden beam, looking a bit miffed—likely because he'd tried to pet her like a common pigeon.

Realizing he needed to keep this divine ally on his side, Chen quickly shifted the vibe. "Janna, you've been a myth in Zaun for years. Why choose now to come back to the physical plane?"

The blue bird blinked, her eyes reflecting an ancient depth. "The power of faith led me here."

In the old days, Janna was the patron of Zaun's sailors. Her blessings meant the difference between a successful voyage and a watery grave. But when the massive canal was blasted through the isthmus—splitting the city into the glittering Piltover and the sunken Undercity—the sailors no longer needed to pray for favorable winds. The canal was stable, safe, and mechanical. Faith in the wind spirit withered, and Janna had been forced into a long, stagnant slumber.

Chen glanced at the snoring Ekko. "Was it his faith that woke you up?"

Janna nodded, though she shot a look of mild disdain at the boy on the floor. "He spread the seed. He and the people of this Sanctuary have created something that doesn't belong in the dead air of Zaun. There is hope here. There is growth." She hopped closer, pecking at Chen's sleeve. "But the core of that faith... it traces back to you. Why is he the leader, and you are not?"

Chen looked at Jinx, who was busy cleaning her Gatling gun nearby. "I'm just passing through. One day, I'm taking her to see the rest of Runeterra."

Jinx looked up and beamed. "Yeah! Everywhere!"

Janna didn't push the subject. "We will talk more when the boy wakes. But tell me... how do you know my secret arts?"

Chen went silent. He couldn't exactly explain that he'd spent hundreds of hours "playing" with her on the Rift. To distract her, he pulled the little red book from his coat: The Librarian and the Art of Dragon Slaying.

"This is what we believe in, Janna. Take a look."

The bird looked at the cover—the yellow hammer and sickle—and became instantly intrigued. She took the book to a quiet corner of the great tree, flipping the pages with her beak, engrossed in the revolutionary theory within.

Half a day later, the cleanup was well underway. Chen found Janna still reading. "Ekko's awake. We're heading to the war room."

Janna blinked, coming out of a trance. "Has it been that long? This text... did you write this?"

"In a manner of speaking," Chen replied. He was the only one in this universe who could transmit these specific "ideologies."

"You really should be the leader," Janna said seriously as she hopped onto his shoulder. "This plan to dismantle the Chem-Barons... it is the only way to heal the cancer of Zaun. But your ideas are centuries ahead of their time. You want to jump from feudal warlords to a socialist utopia in one leap?"

"If we don't aim for the sun, we'll never leave the Sump, Janna."

As they entered the conference room, the core Firelights stood up in unison. Janna felt a rush of pure, focused faith—the first she had felt in decades. With a sudden whoosh, she abandoned her avian form.

Chen's jaw hit the floor. Janna hovered a few inches off the ground, her long, pale hair drifting as if underwater. She held a staff of blue crystal, looking every bit the ethereal deity.

And she was... well, she was a goddess. Her outfit was, to put it mildly, "aerodynamic." It was mostly gauzy white silk and strategic gold ornaments. It was breathtaking. It was distracting. Chen felt his "faith" converting into a devout worship of the Wind Goddess on the spot.

But the transformation only lasted a few seconds. With a flash of light, she shrunk back into the blue bird. "Forgive me," she chirped, landing on the table. "My reservoir of faith is too low to maintain that form for long."

Jinx leaned over, whispering a dangerous, jagged Whisper into Chen's ear. "Was she that pretty, stat-stick? Your heart rate just procced a crit."

Chen flinched, a chill running down his spine. "I-I was just analyzing the... magical aura."

Ekko spoke first, his voice thick with gratitude. "Thank you, Janna. Without you, we'd be ash."

"It is the duty of the storm to protect the sapling," Janna replied selflessly.

"I hope you can stay and protect us forever!" Ekko pleaded.

Chen winced. Smooth, Ekko. Real smooth. Just ask the goddess for a permanent 24/7 guard duty.

Janna sighed, her little bird head drooping. "I wish to. But I am weak. The Monsoon I unleashed took almost everything I had left. Without a steady stream of faith, I will fade back into the wind."

Ekko looked dejected. "A powerful ally with no mana... great."

Janna shook her head. "I cannot simply absorb your revolutionary fervor. I need faith directed at me. Gratitude, prayers, the belief that the wind can save them. Until then, I am tethered to this tree."

Just then, the system pinged.

SIDE QUEST: The Restoration of the Storm. Objective: Help Janna regain her full divinity. Reward: Arcanist Emblem (TFT Item - Grant +AP and Mana).

Chen stroked his chin, a roguish smile spreading across his face. An Arcanist Emblem would be a massive boost for Jinx's rockets or his own "magic" scaling. Plus, having a fully powered Janna meant infinite shields and a goddess in her human form walking around the base.

"Faith, huh?" Chen said, looking at the blue bird. "Don't you worry, Janna. I'm a specialist in 'Community Outreach.' Restoring your power? Leave it to me!"
