The world was normal—until the final ten minutes before 2030. Without warning, the moon blinked out of the star-filled sky. Across the planet, panicked reports flooded in: the sun had gone dark, as if someone had turned it off. Then the clock struck midnight. The year 2030 began—and so did the invasion.
Creatures emerging from the darkest places, killing and devouring. Humanity's defense systems failed to activate, as if the systems detected no threat.
Two Days in, and most hide in large groups, either in the icy mountains, underground, or anywhere far from these monsters.
One Month has gone by, and Humanity has learned "to fight the dark; you wield the light."

Thud!... the sound of boots touching ground echoes in the abandoned streets as a figure carries a torch, running from something obviously not supposed to be on earth.
The figure, a blonde-haired boy with amber eyes, is illuminated by the torch he is holding while running from the creature, which is now more visible under the torchlight, and seems to be made of mist.
The Creature, as if it only now begun to hunt, began moving as two white glowing dots appeared on what is likely its head, and more such creatures converged on its location.
