All was silent. I thought whatever animal attack in the wilderness, had gotten to my husband and the monster hunter, was over before it could get better. When suddenly, Mark and Valentino, my two boys appeared beside my coffin. They both were shirtless. And seemed to be covered in filth. They stuck their pink tongues out, and lapped like a breathless dog.
"Boys! So glad to see you both!" I said, happily. I squirmed inside of my cocoon-web I was still in. As I tried freeing myself of the trap. "We have to squash these bugs, boys!" I said, hoping they were paying attention to me.
Nodding, and panting like a dog out of breath, Mark and Valentino both nodded and made a chipper dog-like chipper sound. Seeing the spiders crawl over my body in the coffin, Mark and Valentino suddenly bared their teeth. And growled at the hungry spiders.
Then, Mark and Valentino quickly began snatching up a black sider who was still fighting her his mate with another male spider, and took a bite out of the spider's hairy legs. Mark didn't mind the spider trying to free itself from Mark's mouth. Taking his sharp teeth, Mark took another big bite out of the black spider in mouth.
As Mark bites into the spider, green blood splashes over Valentino and his brother's bare chest. They both didn't seem to mind. They laughed as they continued eating the rest of the black tarantula in their mouths. Grabbing another smaller male spider from fighting with another male, in the coffin, Mark quickly picked it up,
Looking at the creature in his grasp, Mark stared at the fanged creature's buggy eyes staring back at him. Frowning, Mark quickly bites into the black spider. Munching on it as he took several bits to avoid getting poison from the spider's fangs.
As Valentino tried grabbing another small black tarantula from crawling up my left leg, the creepy-crawly black spider quickly shot out some sticky webbing at Valentino's hands. The spider crawled away. As we watched as Valentino's hands were stuck together in sticky webbing.
Valentino clumsily tripped over his feet and fell to the dirty, damp ground in the woods. "Val!" I screamed. "Are you okay?" I asked, trying to check on my son. He didn't seem to answer. I don't think my two boys can speak English. They are still part animal inside their human bodies.
"It's up to you, Mark," I said. "You must save me from the spiders! I know you can get us out of this mess," I continued. Looking at the half-eaten spider in his grasp, Mark frowned and nodded like he understood. Taking the wounded black spider in his hand, Mark tossed the dead bug to the ground. Then, he stomped on it. Guts and green blood splashed everywhere!
Under the glow of the moonlight in the woods, Mark started to change into a hairy wolf creature before my eyes! I wasn't sure if I should be afraid of my oldest son or not. But I seemed very calm and relaxed to be in my wild son's presence.
Mark then, furiously started using his animal instincts and grabbing hold of the black tarantulas and stomping on them with his strong, animal feet on the group. They didn't even have the chance to survive or cry out in response to Mark's violence.
After all the black spiders were squashed and destroyed, Mark quickly grabbed me out of the sticky cocoon spider webbing I was trapped inside of, still. After getting me out of the coffin, Mark suddenly started turning back to humans.
He just wore denim shorts and sandals. Panting at me like a worried hound dog, before me, Mark gave me a quick hug. "I love you too, son," I said, gasping for breath. As Mark continued to squeeze the life out of me.
He quickly released his grip on me. Then, Mark suddenly seemed like I was there. He walked over to his brother, Valentino who was unconscious next to Russell by the coffin. Using the glow of the moonlight, Mark made his right hand turn into a hairy clawed hand. And used his sharp claws to rip open the sticky spider-webbing on his brother's hands from the spider attack.
"We can't stay out here, for long," Mark said, finding his voice to be calm and soothing. "The pack will be looking for Valentino and myself in the dead of night. To make the full moon's night celebrate with the monsters who want to be different on Halloween," Mark told me.
I wanted Mark and Valentino to believe the Monster Pack will teach our family how to survive in the wild on their own. But as Mark tried to get his brother, Valentino to gain consciousness, Valentino wasn't coming to his senses.
Suddenly, Mark and I both gasped. Turning to look in the darkness of the woods, we heard a twig snapping in the dark. "Oh, no. They found us," Mark whispered, and dropped Valentino to the ground. I tried to call after my son, Mark. But he took over in the other direction heading into the dark unknown woods.
Turning to look back in the darkness of the woods, I saw a warm, yellow glow of light heading my way. Voices of angry men were coming at me. I had to get out of the darkness before it was too late for me, too.
