Linda raised a brow. Ezekiel could have many more enemies. Megan looked at Linda in confusion, wondering what her decision would be, but to her surprise, Linda was calm and had it under control. She tilted her head slightly, studying Lucas as if he were a stranger asking for directions.
"Take him down?" she repeated calmly. "You people are funny."
Lucas chuckled, completely unbothered. "I don't joke about enemies," he said, chuckling again. "I don't know if you're in a hurry, but I'd like us to go back to the red room to discuss—"
"I am…" she interrupted. "Seems you don't know Ezekiel and Aaron are identical. You picked the wrong person."
Daniel stepped forward. "Please… you're the only person who can handle it, and we know about you, Lizzo. What you can do. What you've done. You don't choose sides—"
"I choose benefits," Linda cut in coldly.
Paul nodded. "Exactly. And we can give you plenty."
