Chapter 85 - 78 - Got an Entrance Ticket to the Death Book of a Deity

Eric and Elara casually strolled through the empty and silent Dark Elves tribe village.

It was fairly spacious, with some small, big tents, huts, and there were also some roughly built wooden houses. All of them were new except the tents.

Eric checked the tents and hatches as he passed by, and they were empty. The entire village camp was completely silent.

Eric wondered what happened to the children, toddlers, and so on. He didn't want to kill them, as he had killed enough for today, but he also couldn't let them roam freely. Those were tiny time bombs. If possible, he didn't want Ringwood Town to face confirmed danger after he left.

So, Eric was wondering: Should he send those children as a gift-package to wild animals in the forest? Or take the effort to kill them personally, swiftly and painlessly, as he didn't have any reason to cause pain to them. He had no hatred for the Dark Elf tribe, nor did he want to waste extra time on them further. Or perhaps Lysandra would be willing to take them to the Elvin continent?

But no matter how much he checked or patiently listened for any children crying, there were none. It was completely quiet, as if the entire camp was a ghost village.

Eric found it very strange. No matter how low their population might be, nearly a thousand or more tribe members, but not a single child? Was that even possible?

Eric thought deeply and guessed that Lysandra might have done something. Killing those children would be the right answer, as bringing children whose entire tribe you just killed off was no kindness—just plain stupidity.

Eric and Elara soon arrived at the large empty yard with a huge bonfire burning.

Lysandra was sitting in the middle of the empty yard, atop a large number of Dark Elves' bodies arranged neatly and properly, and all the corpses were missing their heads.

Both Eric and Elara felt their eyebrows twitching, but they stayed silent without commenting on Lysandra's 'bloody' aesthetics.

Lysandra noticed Eric and Elara's arrival and smiled brightly at them.

"Good job! You brats didn't die after all! I also didn't need half an hour to deal with them, as I previously thought. It seems my blood is still running hot! Hohoho."

Eric and Elara stared at Lysandra without any expression and also chose not to comment on her lies.

Eric directly asked, "Lysandra, are all the Dark Elves dead? Or perhaps there are some hiding somewhere?"

Lysandra waved her hand and answered dismissively, "All dead! Don't worry, there are no Dark Elves in this forest anymore."

Lysandra knew what Eric was searching for, and of course, all were turned into nothing—including pregnant women, babies, the elderly, and so on.

She was not a naive little girl who hadn't seen war, the destruction of tribes, villages, cities, or kingdoms. Since she had interfered in their natural life cycle, she would also do it thoroughly.

As for taking them with her to the Elvin continent? Huh, was she that bored and free?

When exterminating large groups, it was always best to do it thoroughly; otherwise, it would come back to bite. Especially wiping out the next generation cleanly was very important.

There was also no need to protect these tribe's children, as Dark Elves were not some extinct race or getting there.

Just as Lysandra was about to stand up from her prized seat, Elara suddenly asked while pointing toward a certain direction, "What's that?"

Eric turned to where Elara had pointed and noticed that there were some broken stones on the ground.

He hadn't noticed them, as there was nothing specific there, but now that he focused, he felt it was a broken statue. Barely anything was left intact after being smashed down; even the head of the statue was barely intact.

But why did he feel the remaining portion of the statue's head looked more like an undead or a skeleton?

Eric wondered if this Dark Elf tribe actually worshipped undeads... Did they feel their shining, beautiful dark skin was not good enough and needed some rotting ones too? Or perhaps they wanted to bring their bones out and become 'white'?

It was obvious that the Dark Elves used to worship this broken statue, as it was situated at the best place in the field within a cleaner area, and it was also on an uplifted platform.

Lysandra replied after giving a disdainful glance toward the smashed statue.

"It's their deity—they worship 'Vel'Tharok the Dark One,' one of the seven deities of The Obsidian Order. I broke the statue, as all of them look horrible, completely destroying my horniness. Humph!"

Elara blushed at her mother's crude words.

She was really embarrassed. What would Eric think? Wouldn't he be too disgusted and think all the High Elves were some perverted hooligans?

Though she didn't mind being so if Eric liked it.

She secretly peered at Eric's face from the corner of her eyes.

Eric ignored the latter part of Lysandra's 'troubles,' but he was quite amazed with how deities in this world looked.

Rather than deities, the name sounded more like an organization.

Deities Organization?

'Hm… now that I think, will Ringwood Town be in danger due to exterminating these deities' followers?'

Before Eric could ask his concerns, Lysandra's eyes flashed.

She said with a worry-filled tone, "Right—Right, Eric, you better be careful of him from now on. You are now on his death book. He and his subordinates have ways to find out who killed their devotees by 'smell,' and of course, the smell on you is very thick and juicy due to the huge number of 'cute' devotees you have slaughtered."

Elara flinched.

She was about to pounce toward Lysandra, but Lysandra was guarded by headless bodies at the moment, so she held back in case she smelled bad later and Eric would feel repulsed by her.

So, she raised her voice and pleaded, "Mother, you have to do something! T-They destroyed your ho-hor-horni-horniness, right? You should kill them immediately!"

Lysandra laughed at her cute daughter's innocent request but didn't reply and waited for Eric's response.

Eric was quite amazed at his own achievements.

He was just a mortal and already got an entrance ticket to the death book of a deity?

This should be the highest honor, right?

This was a clear indication that he was making great progress toward becoming the Ultimate Final Boss!

"So, this Valthy or something—what is his rank?" Eric asked with curiosity.

It was obvious that they were some sort of organization in this world, and they must be Mana Wielders.

Lysandra smiled and then answered, "All the seven deities of The Obsidian Order are in Master Ranks."

"So... Will this Baldy seek me out immediately?"

Eric felt his evil ass hadn't developed enough yet to fight Master Ranks. He didn't even understand their capabilities.

Lysandra stared at Eric strangely and thought, 'How does he know that Vel'Tharok is bald-headed? Was that destined the moment Vel'Tharok took on that name? Should I also worry?... No, I think I am safe! My name is safe!'

Lysandra shook her head and explained, "Don't worry. He is not that free to seek out a mortal, neither are his subordinates. They will only seek trouble with you if you go near their active areas and they 'smell' your crime."

"You can also hide this smell using artifacts, enchantments, and so on, and if you become Master Rank, you personally can also erase them. For now, you don't need to worry, as they don't operate in such a desolate place."

Lysandra stood up from her 'glorious' chair and waved her hand.

Suddenly, all dead mortal bodies from outside the village gate started flying right inside the open field beside the bonfire. They all organized themselves and became like a tiny hill.

Eric could understand that it was the 'Wind' Element, so he also started feeling that Wind Element was totally badass. It would be cool if he could obtain that. But he also didn't want to abandon his Fire and Thunder Elements—he was in a dilemma.

Maybe he should grab them all?

While Eric was deciding on things that were not even in his hands, and neither was it confirmed that he would even have any Element in the first place, the dead bodies kept arriving and assembling themselves properly.

After some time, Lysandra 'grabbed' the fire in the current burning bonfire and threw it onto the newly made 'larger bonfire' that included her previous throne as well. She also added some of her Mana into it; otherwise, such high-Constitution bodies wouldn't burn to ash easily.

Woosh!

A new massive, hill-sized bonfire started burning in the open field—one that was burning so ferociously that even Eric and Elara had to step far back to escape from the heat.

Lysandra waved her hand. "Alright, little brats, let's go."

She then walked toward the gates, then across the blood-soaked field, dragging her long, gorgeous dress through it, before continuing toward the ocean cliff.

Eric and Elara followed behind Lysandra like good children.

No one noticed, but when Lysandra waved her hand the final time, countless miles away, near a certain part of the ocean shore where many mortal and Mana Wielder Dark Elves were loitering around and guarding their ships—through which they had arrived at this place—all silently turned into 'Wind.'

Nothing of them or of the ships remained, as if they never existed in the first place; even the ocean water surrounding the ships disappeared. Only after a while did waves quickly arrive to cover up the defects left on the ocean floor.

While Eric and Elara followed behind the giant Elf, they had their own thoughts going inside their heads.

Elara was quite excited to continue playing on the island with Eric.

Due to the battle that they just went through together, she no longer felt so difficult to look at Eric in his eyes!

Maybe by tomorrow they could both swim and play together in the ocean—she was very much looking forward to it.

Eric meanwhile wondered why Lysandra did not just fly them to wherever she was going.

That was not such an important question, so he didn't bother asking. Maybe she felt her dress was too neat and wanted to ruin it more?

Nonetheless, Eric knew the time for farewell was coming, as he needed to return back to the Orphanage now.

Although he hated to confess, he was a bit reluctant to part with his cutie crush Elara, as he had also started to enjoy her company.

If only she stopped blushing at every step...

But no matter how much Elara had proven herself on how capable she was, and was no longer just a flower, Eric still didn't want to travel with her just yet.

He, Lyria, and Livy were already too eye-catching, and if a hot chick with tasty-looking long ears joined them, then the troubles that would be attracted toward them would be a little too annoying.

So for now, this was goodbye—maybe in the future they could travel together. Or perhaps this could also be their final farewell, as he might just find some deadly, exciting adventure and perish because of it.

But he also couldn't be that reckless anymore, as Riya's life was hanging together with his, and if he took Lyria and Livy with him in his travels, then he also wouldn't be able to bear to make them lose their lives for his stupidity. But they could also all die anytime due to some accident. Life is always unpredictable.

Leaving this aside, he was struggling on how to shamelessly ask for Elixirs and potions from Lysandra.

After struggling for a long time, Eric decided that he would ask after reaching the Ocean Cliff. By now, he had already recognized the path Lysandra was taking. He also needed to find his birthday dagger, so it was also a fine place to say their goodbyes.

"You can also ask Lysandra to send you back to the Orphanage." Riya quietly whispered.

She was most worried for her sisters Lyria and Livy. She was certain that they were missing Eric deeply and also worried for him.

"Hmm…" Eric nodded in agreement.
