"What made you think like that"? George asked as he gently caressed Alexs' back who pulled away from the hug and lowly said, "Alice, her hands are paining bcz of me, I am heavy but I still ask her to carry me".
Alices' expressions immediately softened as she came close to Alex who was still in Georges' arms and softly flicked his chin who whined a little at the touch and this made Alice chuckle fondly at him.
George only observed them both with his eyes softening at the bond and the shared moment of both Alice and Alex. "Enough of love in the air, now let's go down, lunch is ready and I will surely die out of hunger if I don't get food now", Jacob said dramatically holding his stomach.
"Yeah let's go down and also fill this little brats tummy", George said slightly tickling Alex who burst out in giggles as Alice also smiled and all four of them came downstairs.
Edward who noticed them all coming said,"let's talk after having lunch, come Mr.George", "You can call me George only no need of formalities now after all we are going to be one family now", George subtly said already hinting of the future which amused Edward a little as he smiled getting the hint.
Ava, Ms.Julia and Alice helped arranging the dining table as all the males sat down, Alice served Jacob who showed his brightest smile to her which made her shook her head in disbelief.
she moved forward to serve George who thanked her and gestured her to sit next to him which Alice ignored and moved to Alex serving him small portion as per his appetite.
"Alice sit beside George, you might be hungry, you didn't even had proper breakfast", Ava said gesturing Alice to sit next to George who looked slightly worried thinking of the reasons his heaven didn't had breakfast properly.
Alice knowingly looked at Ms.Julia damn sure of the thing that she is the one who told Ava of not having proper breakfast, Ms.Julia sheepishly smile at Alice who huffed and sat next to George who to everyone's surprise served Alice who looked equally surprised.
"You didn't have to serve me, I can do that for myself, don't think that you can flatter me with your these bare minimum gestures", Alice whispered to George who whispered back, "I know you can serve for yourself but I want to do it for you, and whatever I am doing for you is not to make you fall for me or flatter you, I am doing it bcz I care enough to not let you do everything alone"
Ava who was witnessing everything from the starting smiled feeling happy for her sister not knowing that they are not lovingly talking they are verbally clashing with each other.
Soon they were done with their lunch.
"What have you guys decided"? Edward asked staring at both George and Alice who were sitting infront of him on a couch, their was complete silence which was broken by Alice as she declared, "We are ready for the marriage ".
Edward then looked at George who nodded his head clearing every doubts. Acmva practically bounced on the couch unable to control her excitement as rushed to kitchen to get some sweets for everyone.
She firstly fed Alice who took a little bite of the sweet half-heartedly, but she was little happy to see the blooming face if her sister because of her, Ava fed the same half bitten sweet to George who happily ate already feeling giddy about the fact that he is going to get married to his heaven by the end of this month.
He thanked every god in his mind for making his wish come true this soon. "What is happening?? Why are you all feeding each other sweets"? Alex asked confused, Ava chuckled looking at Alexs' innocent face as she approached him and fed him the sweet who happily ate it.
"Your Alice is going to get married to George so we all are celebrating for them, you are happy for her, right"? Ava softly asked to Alex who started at her but immediately stood up on his feet and asked, "Alice leaving us"?
Everyone in the room froze at Alexs' question, they all knew how much Alex is close to Alice except George but he had a hint of what is happening , "sweetheart they are going to get married so she has to stay with him", Ava tried to explain softly but Alex stubbornly shook his head as no.
"No, he can't take her away, Alice will stay with us only, George uncle you go away, You will steal her from me", Alex angrily said pushing George away from Alice who was very shocked seeing Alex behaviour.
"Alex what is this behaviour, say sorry to George uncle, stop behaving like this you brat", Edward slightly raised his voice at Alex who huffed loudly and denied, he hugged Alices' legs saying, "You can't go away Alice, you will stay here only".
Alice helplessly stared at Ava, this is the second time Alex is behaving like this, this much stubborn, "You went away last time too, you didn't come back for six months, I missed you alot, don't go away now", Alex yelled a little as he started crying.
Ava immediately hugged him to calm him down, now everyone got worried, Alice glared at George and mumbled, "This is happening all because of you, why do you have to come in my life and mess it up like this, it would have been better if we never met".
George listened everything with heavy heart, he didn't like the words that slipped from Alices' mouth, even he felt bad seeing Alex behaving like this but he actually can't do anything about it and on top of that his heaven is blaming him for everything was making the situation even worse.
"Alex listen to me champ", George softly said to Alex who moved back from Avas' embrace and started at George angrily saying, "No I don't want to listen to you, you are taking Alice with you, I hate you".
"Alex behave yourself, this isn't how you behave with elders", Edward yelled at Alex who looked down sobbing, George felt bad for Alex as he gently hugged him caressing his back as he softly asked, "Are you afraid that Alice will forget you, or will not love you if she will go with me"??
"How do you know that"? Alex asked curiously, "I have super powers Cham, I can read minds", George jokingly said trying to lighten the tense environment which worked when Alex slightly smiled.
"Look Alex, listen to me carefully I am marrying your aunt, it means she has to stay by my side as she will be mine just like your mom stays with your dad and about the thing about she will not love you then it is actually impossible cuz she loves you the most in the world and she can never forget the one she loves the most", George softly reassured.
"Will she love you more that me? she will stay with you, you will be important for her more than me", Alex said again, his eyes getting moist again.
" Hey, sweetheart you will never be less important for me, you are my top most priority, I will never forget you, you stay in my heart, and I will surely visit you often, we will do face time daily, if George stops me from meeting you we both will punch him okay, I love you the most ", Alice assured gently and Alex innocently stared at her.
He forwarded his palm infront of her and said,"Promise you will daily call me and will visit me and won't forget me and you will love me more than George uncle ", Alice chuckled at Alexs' innocent demand as she placed her palm on his palm and promised.
"She loves me more", Alex said as he stared at George who amusingly looked at him and teasingly said, "But she is going to be mine though", "Dad", Alex whined as he gestured Edward to deal with George who just looked at both Alex and George in disbelief.
"Okay , okay enough of drama everything is settled now so let's fix the engagement date and also George call your family too, their presence matters too", Ava said but frowned in confusion when Alex said,"No need to call my family".
