Chapter One
"Su Qián Wan! Get out of there commander, it's a trap!" Her ears buzzed with so many different words, each trying to make sense to her but wasn't, it only served to confuse her all the more.
"Qián Wan, don't be so naive. You can't get out of here again, I made sure of that." Su Qián Wan laughed softly, her voice full of sorrow as she held onto her gaping wound.
"Why… why would you do this to me? I'm your sister!" She cries out in a pain filled voice but Li Tian laughed, his eyes glinting with madness.
"You just couldn't do things as it should be done, always putting yourself out like a fucking hero, always seeking to outshine me! Look where that got you!" He exclaims, laughing as tears rolls down her cheeks but she furiously wipes it off.
"Y--you want me dead because you think I'm suppressing you?" She asks, stumped and he nodded vigorously.
"If you had just stayed in your lane like the woman you are, and never got in my way then none of this would have happened. If you want to fault anyone, then fault yourself for thinking you were too smart! You didn't even see this coming!" His voice is full of hate and a madness Su Qián Wan had only experienced in one of her missions.
"I-" she paused, watching as he raised his arm and before she could say anything further, he released two shots straight into her chest and she gasped as pain rushed through her.
A scream lodged in her throat as she began to feel her life force ebbing away, and before she completely lost consciousness, she saw Su Tiān laughing as if he just won a lottery.
Jolting up from her laying position, Su Qián Wan glances around with sharp eyes, trying to discern her surroundings.
How am I still alive? She glanced around in question but before she could begin to check out where she was, an assault of images flooded her membrane and she gasped out loud in pain.
It faded away the next moment and she sighs, what a great start!
She had somehow transmigrated into the beast world and became the useless female in Golden Wolves Tribe, the owner of the body I am inhabiting was known for her timidity and laziness.
She never did any work and of course, males still desired her and the tribe couldn't do anything because she was a female!.
She had one son whom according to the storyline she had read during her free times, she had trained to be a well known villain in the future.
She had always tortured the poor kid and when he grew up, he swore to make her pay and he did.
This villain child ended up making her suffer for eternity after he became stronger, his methods of torture imitated all Su Qián Wan had done to him but much more extreme.
She felt a headache coming in as she recounted everything she had read but then she began to hear noises outside and slowly stood up in confusion.
There were rarely any visitors at this cave of hers so who was that?.
She walks outside the cave only to stop in her tracks at the scene before her.
"I didn't steal anything, I hunted this morning and brought back this feathered animal and some colored stones!" A small voice belonging to a boy of about five years yelled as he tried to escape the grip of the male holding onto him.
"As if I'll believe an imbecile like you could hunt, you definitely stole this and it belongs to me. Ni'er, get it back for me!" The female was vaguely familiar and as a small migraine hit her again, Su Qián Wan could barely hold back her look of annoyance.
From a respected soldier to this wimpy female! How low have I fallen?!.
This female was called San Ran, she was the daughter of the tribe's chief and also the only beast female in the entire tribe who looked beautiful.
Beautiful? She gave the female a once over and her brows furrowed, but the child she was currently bullying is none other than her villainous son!.
He didn't look to be that much of a villain now.. he looked.. cute?.
"Yes Primarch!" He smirked and raised his hands to pull the items away from the little boy's hand but Su Qián Wan quickly rushed forward, grabbing hold of his hand and pushing him off with all of her strength.
It wasn't much but the shock the male had was enough to push him away just as she wanted.
"What a waste." She mumbled as she pinched the skin she now had, such potential and the former owner threw it all to waste, now she would have to restart everything she had learned again from scratch.
What did I do to deserve this? She cried out internally, but I'm not picky, at least I'm alive… for now.
"Su Qián Wan, you foolish female. How dare you lay a hand on my male?!" San Ran cries out, her face full of grievance as she stomps over to Su Qián Wan but she didn't pay her any attention.
"Did you steal her things?" She asks the little boy still sitting on the ground and he shook off his shock, glancing away with a huff and Su Qián Wan pinched the bridge of her nose in rising frustration.
"I asked you a question, answer it immediately!" Maybe it was her tone or the look of annoyance in her gaze but the small child gave one look at her and quickly shook his head in denial.
"Good. He didn't take your things" she said, turning to the raging female.
Su Qián Wan had never been the type to overdo things in her life, not in the first one and neither would she do so in this life.
"You little tramp, he stole my things! How can you believe what he says? Ni'er, I want you to teach him a lesson for me!" She once again ordered and Su Qián Wan's patience drew thin.
"I said he didn't do it, if you have a problem with what I said then come at me but if you dare go as far as touching a single hair on his head then I will kill you!" San Ran is shocked? How did this wimpy female turn into such a blood thirsty looking beast in an instant?.
No, no, no, she was just faking it. And besides, she has her Tiger beast male with her and he was a tier 3 beast male, a strong one. What can a mere female do to her?.
"Don't talk to me like that, you disgusting beast!" Her hand moved on its own and before San Ran could land her slap, two slaps landed squarely on each of her cheeks.
Shock, surprise, anger… rose up inside her and she screeched loudly like a bird.
"I want her dead!!!! How dare you hit me? Ni'er kill her for me!" She screeched orders and the male glanced nervously at the two of them before he whispered.
"Male beast men aren't allowed to hit a female." San Ran was over herself with rage, she flew straight at Su Qián Wan just as she wanted.
With her heavy body, she didn't make it past Su Qián Wan before she was sent tumbling face first to the ground.
Su Qián Wan had tripped her.
It was a pretty secluded spot in the tribe but it didn't mean these beasts didn't have a sharp sense of hearing.
Soon, many of them began to gather around, watching the spectacle and whispering amongst themselves.
"Did you see that?"
"I'm dreaming, I must be!"
"If it were up to me, I'll say it's San Ran's fault."
"Yeah, why would she go looking for trouble this far out?"
"I heard the cub stole her things!"
"That's stupid, although he steals, he would never go as far as to take things in the open for someone to catch him."
"No one is that stupid."
"If you ask me, San Ran just wants something to use in making a scene,"
"What a bad female."
"Yes, these two were on their own."
Seeing as the words being thrown at them weren't in her favor, San Ran quickly stood up and glared at Su Qián Wan.
"I will report this to my father, he won't let you go." Then she turned and fled the place with her beast male.
"Such a nuisance," she mumbles to herself before she turns around to return back to the cave but stops at the sight before her.
Did I just… did I just leave through this shit hole? No, I couldn't have, I refuse to believe I walked right out of this place and didn't notice anything!!
The cave looked like something out of a horror film, the cave had grime everywhere, there were rotting beast meat scattered about and the beast furs looked so matted… all in all, it looked like hell.
Slowly, she brought up her arm to her nose and sniffed and gagged.. shit, I smell so bad.
"Bad female, what do you want now?" The boy, um what was his name again?... Oh, Chen'ar, he is my five year old son, and according to my memories of the former owner, he was some sort of snake beast.
Chan'ar stared at the bad female in front of him in confusion, what is she doing? Defending me? Doesn't she hate me? No, no, I must be hallucinating… wake up, chan'ar, this bad female probably wants to sell you like the bear cubs say she wants to.
Maybe that's why she's being so nice. With that, his face grew even more disdainful.
But why is she staring at me like that?
From her knowledge, Su Qián Wan knew this beast world didn't have many necessities at all, just the basics and that didn't include things like buckets!
How would I clean this up?
She gave the place a once over and her eyes stopped at the huge trees surrounding the cave before an idea filled her mind.
"How sharp are your claws?" She asked the cub at her feet and he took a little while before answering.
"Very sharp," he said and she nodded.
"Good, cut down that tree from the foot," she ordered, pointing at the smallest tree there and his eyes widened before he took several steps backwards.
"What is it?" She asked, impatience filling her.
"My claws will break!" He exclaimed as if she should know that and she grimaced.
"Too bad, shouldn't you have started your training by this time? Get on with it, I'm going to wash up by the lake, bring it there when you're done!" She ordered, then turned and strode into the cave.
Chan'ar fisted his palms as she walked away and then he turned to the tree with reddening eyes.
Hearing a bit of a commotion, he turned around in question only to find that bad female using a huge stick to push things out of the cave.
When she was done, she picked them up and then turned to him. "What are you standing there for? Are you slow? Get on with it, I don't have all day!" She barked and he nodded furiously before she began to say at the wood.
Su Qián Wan had read countless books regarding these beast cubs, being too kind wasn't the right approach at all and they would only think bad things about you.
Like now, she was 99% sure this cub was thinking she wanted to sell him off..not that he was wrong, the former owner already talked with a bear beast female to sell him off to her.
But since no deal had been made, it wasn't binding at all so she wasn't worried.
Thinking this, she quickly rushed to the lake and threw the things she was holding to the ground.
"So stinky," she whispered with a gag before she glanced around, her eyes spotting a very important plant she was looking for.
Soapwort! Ah nature's very own soap.
Quickly she pulled out some leaves and began to wash up the fur and beast skins until she was sure they were neat.
As she rinsed and began to hang them out to dry, the sounds of footsteps had her swirling on her feet just as a huge tree crashed at the same place she was standing just moments ago.
"Chan'ar, you're fast. Come here, your work is not yet done," she ordered, not paying him any attention.
He was the book's future villain? What a joke.
He grumbled as he did so and she quickly began to show him what she needed.
"Make a hollow space here, don't let it touch the bottom layer and around this top part, slice it to the sides and then upwards and then carve it to meet at the middle, so it looks like a handle.. Do you understand?" She asked, hoping he would understand the nonsense she was obviously spouting and sighed with relief when he nodded in understanding and got to work.
He seemed smart.
She slowly took some leaves and went to clean herself up by the lake– her hair was the hardest to clean, so much grime and dirt… she threw up about five times!
This was so easier when I was myself.. she thought as she dried up and wrapped a mini clean beast hide around herself. It was the only clean one she could find in the cave and from memory, it seemed like one of the males had given it to the former owner days ago.
She treasured it of course but Su Qián Wan didn't care at all.
"What is it?" He asked after he was done, staring at the contraception in confusion and Su Qián Wan laughed softly as she stepped up to him.
"Watch this." She said as she picked it up and examined it, it wasn't great but it was still good.
Slowly, she brought it to the lake and slowly scooped water into it then brought it out and turned to the cub behind her.
Chan'ar stared at her movements, stunned as the contraception she had had him make drew in so much water into it and didn't spill any out of it.
"See? This is very important, you must learn it," she said to him before she hefted it, her face furrowing with evident strain then she began to return back to her cave.
Chan'ar followed behind her, his eyes never leaving the contraception and as they walked, his hands balled into fists as he watched her strain to carry it back to the cave.
And for the first time in forever, he felt sad for this bad female's situation but he chided himself after that thought, although his beast father was nothing more than a scumbag who didn't take responsibility for what he did, he still didn't feel anything other than disdain for this bad female.
Whereas, Su Qián Wan cursed under her breath as she tried to bring back the heavy bucket, she had never had anything feel this heavy in her entire life!
She was always a strong woman who went through exercises like it was already ingrained into her entire being and yeah it had, her father was a military man and he was rather strict with her training.
Memories surfaced inside her mind, recalling the times when her father always made her train over and over again just to make a point to her… women were seen as weak and if she wanted to survive their world, she had to do what other men could do and survive it.
You might be confused, yeah earth went to shit fourteen years ago, she was just eight when it happened but from then on, her father had broken and remade her until all she knew were martial skills.
Every single one of them.
But here she was, insulting her father by straining to carry this damn small bucket! Her eyes pricked with hot tears but she forced herself to blink it away, she would not let any of that stop her from being grateful that she was somehow alive.
This body… I will train! She will become stronger!
Chan'ar stared at the bad female, his brows furrowing as he watched her eyes redden while she walked back through the forests, he saw the tears in them but he also saw how she blinked them away fast–was it to make sure he didn't see it?
He felt a bit bad for her, stepping forward, he grabbed the contraception from her and began to haul it back home like it only weighed a pound.
"Don't think anything about it, you're simply slowing me down," he said as he walked, leaving Su Qián Wan so stunned she chuckled under her breath.
"Thanks!" She called out from behind him and quickly walked past him, letting her hand ruffle his head fondly before she continued back home.
But she never saw when Chan'ar stopped in shock, staring at her disappearing silhouette as if he was just seeing her for
the first time.. then his hands touched his hair and warmth radiated all through his body.
Causing him to redden but then he chided himself but he couldn't resist the slight tilt to his lips as he rushed back to the cave.
