A guy walked past the hallway, holding a flashlight.
The light moved slowly across the classroom… searching.
My heart started beating fast.
"Yah…" I whispered, my voice shaking.
"If he finds us here, we're dead."Yoongi said..
"If he finds us… we'll get punished," he said softly. "So cooperate."
His voice was low.
His breath brushed against my face.
Warm.
Too close.
Too much.
I swallowed.
"I'd rather get punished… than stay with you like this," I said quietly.
He paused.
For a second, I saw it....
His eyes.
Soft.
Almost hurt.
Like I said something that actually touched him.But I looked away.
Because if I kept looking… I might not mean what I said anymore.
Truth is…
I was scared.
Not of punishment.
But of him.
Of how I felt around him.
The flashlight moved closer.
Closer.
Closer.
Almost to our spot.
"Okay…" he whispered.
Slowly, he removed his hand from my mouth.
Then his hand left my waist.
The room was dark.
Only the small light moving around.
Suddenly....
I grabbed him.
And pulled him down.
We both dropped to the floor.
I ended up on top of him.
My hand quickly covered his mouth.
His eyes widened in shock.
The flashlight passed the place we were standing just seconds ago.
Silence.
Footsteps.
Then…
The light moved away.
Gone.
I let out a small breath.
Relief.
I was about to get up
But suddenly
His hand tightened around my waist.
Pulling me back.
Closer.
My body froze.
Our faces were inches apart.
I could feel his breath again.
Our eyes locked.
Time stopped.
No noise.
No fear.
Just…
Him.
And me.
My heart wouldn't calm down.
"Is this… another deal?" I whispered.
But even I didn't know if I was asking him…
Or myself.
