"I counted four," Thomas added quietly. "Four separate training complexes visible from the road."
Maya shifted in her seat, her professional composure cracking slightly. "The technology in those agricultural fields, I've only seen that kind of automation in corporate operations. How does a pack afford this?"
"Resources," Richard said quietly, his eyes on the windows overlooking the vast territory. "Nightshade sits on some of the richest mineral deposits in the region. Kade's father knew how to exploit them. Kade perfected it."
