Kade stepped closer. Close enough that the space between them vanished entirely. His arms came around her, drawing her into the solid warmth of his body until she felt the steady rise and fall of his chest, the protective strength in the way he held her, the hard length of him pressed against her stomach. Water cascaded over them both like a curtain, sealing them inside their own private storm.
Dakota's fingers found his shoulders, holding on as though he were the only steady thing left in the world.
