Chapter 3 - The Templar

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Sean walked with drowsy eyes.

His mind encircling the words of priest.

"Victory belongs to us. World belongs to us. Heathens shall be crushed. Lay your faith in lord and strike the heart of sinners."

Those motivating words dimmed into dusty blood.

Ragged templar kept walking.

Nobody survived the war.

Sean remembered the arrow coming.

It was fast.

He prayed.

Prayed with heart.

God did not stop that arrow as it pierced his shoulder.

He could feel that itch.

The spot had become numb.

The memory of priest's head floating in sky as sword sliced..

"No, It is not time to ponder. I must find a resting place in this wretched place", Sean murmured to himself.

Around him stood beautiful greenery, soaking in gentle rain of night. Sean pushed himself ahead.

He could not fall here. His mother waited back. His father was killed by a bandit and brother remained disabled mentally.

"O' Lord, I seek your mercy", he grabbed cross and kept walking. After what seemed like lifetime, there stood a small house.

"No, No, No. Lord, for what sin have I done to reach here?". Sean spoke. He knew that a house standing in middle of vast place was no good sign.

He had studied. Those witches.

Many said that these poor women were persecuted, and some argued that they were demonic. Whatever was the case, he could not afford to be found by a stranger.

He kept walking.

The pain began moving up more. This confirmed his suspicion.

"You seem a bit tired, hmph!", the melodious haughty voice fell on his ear.

"Lord Lord Lord!.. Lord!", Sean began his pace with murmuring God's words.

"Oh madman, I am calling you, yes you." The young lady seemed to be annoyed.

"Lord, I remain yours. I demand protection". Sean's adrenaline rushed as his head burned, yet his pace began fastening. The cross remained tightly grabbed.

"Whatever, mad man. Go away!", the young lady looked worried.

The young man could be seen running with loud voice, as young lady moved back to her house. "Another missed?, A man smiled.

"Yes, he was rather a stubborn templar", the young girl hmphed as she jumped on a nailed man with hunger.
