"You really have the nerve to ask? When we were younger, you treated me like a charity case. Always inviting me to your house to eat the food your mom cooked or to have your father teach us together. Do you know how much I hated you for that?"
Listening to Innocent, I was so shocked that I could have turned into a statue. What was she talking about? How did I ever treat her like a charity case?
I have always treated her like a friend and everything I did was because I considered her a good friend. More like a sister, that was why I didn't have a problem with her sharing my things.
"I always treated you like my sister. I shared everything good I got with you. Be it food, clothes, toys. I even had my father teach you things he didn't teach other children. Why would you call that charity?" What Innocent said really confused me. I have never seen her as anything less of a friend. So, why would she say such absurd things?
