I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
I knew that Mike was a selfish jerk, but I hadn't expected him to be so selfish.
Don't think I couldn't tell that he just wanted to maintain his image as a powerful alpha.
And that is what made his action even more detestable. How could he ask all those women to live the lives of insignificant ants for the rest of their lives?
"That's not what I meant, Val. Don't take my words out of context."
Hearing him call me that nickname almost made me want to vomit.
Not even the tingling and want pooling between my thighs due to his close proximity could take the rage I was feeling inside.
However, I have learned to keep my emotions in check over the years. So, I didn't let him see my anger.
"Do you even have any idea what you are asking me to do?" I asked again hoping that he was just saying it offhandedly and wasn't serious.
