Chapter 86 - Chapter 86

"Ah… so boring. I suddenly feel like I have way too much free time."

On the morning of the first day of the holiday, both parents had already left for work. Only the three Masatas were left at home.

At this moment, Igarashi Masata lay sprawled across the sofa like a salted fish, letting out a long, dramatic sigh.

"Just last night I was saying I wanted to live a peaceful life…"

Yaoyorozu walked out of her room with her hair neatly tied up.

Today, she wasn't wearing her school uniform. Instead, she had on a white shawl draped lightly over her shoulders and a red-and-black skirt with soft, flowing waves along the hem, giving her a refined yet casual look.

"Get up already," Yaoyorozu said. "We're going to the amusement park today. I already made plans with my classmates."

The sudden announcement left Masata momentarily stunned.

"An amusement park? Why did you suddenly feel like going to a place like that?"

From Masata's point of view, amusement park rides really weren't that interesting. After all, with a single jump, he could already experience the feeling of a drop tower. Compared to that, those rides felt… underwhelming.

"Don't complain. We already made the appointment, and you're coming with us," Yaoyorozu said decisively. "If a group of girls goes out alone, can you really relax?"

If we actually ran into thugs, Masata muttered silently in his heart, the real concern would be whether they'd still be alive afterward, right?

Thinking back to yesterday's training session, Masata clearly remembered that there weren't any weak girls in their class.

However, Yaoyorozu—who had clearly entered an unreasonable mode—completely ignored his thoughts and dragged Masata straight off the sofa without hesitation.

At the same time, Cha Cha walked out of her room while yawning. Yesterday's intense training had finally caught up to her, leaving even this usually energetic girl looking a little worn out.

After a simple breakfast, the three of them headed out. Since they had arranged to meet their classmates at the entrance of the amusement park, they took the tram there together.

As for why they didn't take the family's private car, Yaoyorozu explained that she didn't want to attract too much attention or show off unnecessarily.

Because the amusement park was located on the outskirts of Musutafu City, there weren't many passengers on the tram. The three of them managed to find an entire row of seats.

Yaoyorozu sat closest to the armrest, chatting with the girls from class through her phone. Cha Cha, still half-asleep, leaned against her side. Masata sat on the outermost seat, unintentionally becoming a human pillow.

The ride itself was quiet and uneventful. There were no loud troublemakers or awkward incidents. However, plenty of male passengers kept stealing glances in Masata's direction.

After all, walking around with two cute girls like that was bound to draw envy.

When Masata glared back coldly, those people quickly looked away and behaved themselves. After all, Masata had real blood on his hands—his presence alone carried a pressure that ordinary people simply couldn't match.

About thirty minutes later, the tram came to a stop.

Not far from the platform stood the entrance to the amusement park. Across the street, Mina could already be seen waving enthusiastically at them.

"You guys are so early! We're actually the last ones here," Mina said cheerfully.

"It's all because of this guy," Yaoyorozu said without hesitation, immediately shifting the blame. "Masata was impossible to drag out of bed this morning."

Seeing that all the girls from the class had already gathered, Yaoyorozu decisively tossed the responsibility onto Masata without the slightest guilt.

Since it wasn't a weekend, there weren't many visitors in the amusement park. As a result, someone like Masata—standing in the middle of a group of girls—stood out even more.

Throughout the park, he received plenty of attention, and most of it felt openly hostile. If looks alone could kill, Masata would have been riddled with holes by now.

There was also a small incident during ticket purchase.

Yaoyorozu happily pulled out her bank card and paid for everyone, announcing that all expenses for the day were on her.

This caused the other girls to cast slightly strange looks toward Masata.

I'm not seriously being treated like someone living off his partner, am I…? Masata thought silently.

But when he glanced at Yaoyorozu's elegant figure and stunning face, the idea of "eating soft rice" suddenly didn't seem so bad after all.

From that moment on, Masata's status within the household sank even lower.

"It's been so long since I've been to an amusement park! Today, we're playing until we're exhausted!"

After catching up on sleep during the tram ride, Cha Cha was fully revived. She raised her fist high and charged forward enthusiastically, her hair tips bouncing with each step.

"Yeah… I don't think I've been here much since middle school," Asui said thoughtfully, pressing a finger lightly to her lips.

Masata walked at the very back with his hands in his pockets, following the lively chatter of the girls. Somehow, it felt more exhausting than any training session.

"So, where should we go first?" Yaoyorozu asked, taking on the role of the dependable big sister and seeking everyone's opinion.

"Roller coaster!" Mina shouted excitedly, raising her hand.

"Agreed!" To Masata's surprise, Cha Cha also looked eager.

"You can literally float through the sky," Masata said bluntly. "And you're still excited about a roller coaster, Cha Cha?"

"Roller coasters are the most popular attraction!" Cha Cha protested. "That sudden rise and fall—that thrill—can't be replaced by a quirk!"

"Let's go then," Yaoyorozu decided. "I heard the roller coaster here has amazing reviews."

Jiro, dressed stylishly as usual, lifted her phone and showed everyone the online ratings.

"4.8 stars. Apparently, it's ranked very high."

After deciding on their first destination, the group followed the map printed on the pamphlet they'd received at the entrance.

"So this really is the hottest attraction…"

As soon as they arrived, everyone understood why the rest of the amusement park felt so empty. Nearly all the visitors had gathered here.

Looking at the long queue, it was clear they wouldn't be getting on in less than half an hour.

"Since we're already here, let's just wait," Masata said. "It's still early anyway."

Having come all this way, Masata felt it would be a shame to leave without trying. Fortunately, everyone agreed and joined the line.

Just as Masata had expected, something thrilling for ordinary people barely registered for students from the Hero Course.

Although the excitement itself was lacking, the group still got off the roller coaster laughing and chatting, eagerly gathering around to look at the photos taken by the staff.

"Next stop—the haunted house!"

After finishing the most popular attraction, the group continued wandering through the amusement park. When they passed by a building with an eerie yet stylish exterior, Cha Cha immediately made her suggestion.
