After dealing with Sheldon, Mike returned to the Math Olympiad team. Ms. Sharon didn't ask much and let him into the classroom.
"Mike, what happened?" Cady asked quietly when she saw Mike return.
"It's nothing, it's all resolved," Mike shook his head slightly, signaling the girl to listen carefully.
Because of Cady and Mike's whispering, Ms. Sharon's gaze had already fallen on them from the blackboard.
Cady was quite afraid of Ms. Sharon's stern and rigid demeanor. So she smiled apologetically at the teacher, then quickly straightened her posture to study.
The remaining time slowly passed with Ms. Sharon analyzing Math Olympiad knowledge points.
When the Math Olympiad study time ended, Mike quickly got up and called out to the teacher who was about to leave.
"Is there something, Mike?" Ms. Sharon asked in confusion.
More than a week of study had already made Ms. Sharon fully aware of Mike's talent in academics.
The other party calling her should not be about a study problem.
And that was indeed the case. Mike's current intelligence had reached one hundred sixty, which for ordinary people, calling him a "super genius" would not be an exaggeration.
Although, compared to Sheldon's intelligence of one hundred eighty-seven, Mike was still far behind. However, high school Math Olympiad knowledge points held no difficulty for him.
"Ms. Sharon, I want to ask if Sheldon can join our Math Olympiad team?" Mike stated his purpose.
"Sheldon, is that the little prodigy?" Ms. Sharon asked.
The title of "little prodigy" for Sheldon was quite famous at school. Originally, the spot on the Math Olympiad team for the eleventh grade was prepared for him.
Who knew that during that sudden math test, Sheldon made a mistake. The spot on the Math Olympiad team was naturally taken by Mike, who appeared out of nowhere.
Meanwhile, hearing the teacher's question, Mike nodded.
"The five spots on the Math Olympiad team are already full..." Ms. Sharon stated the facts.
Just as Mike was about to persuade her, Ms. Sharon thought for a moment and continued, "However, if it's Sheldon, he can come as an auditing student."
The Math Olympiad competition would not only be held for one year. Allowing Sheldon to join now could also be seen as recruiting talent for next year's Math Olympiad team.
After all, Kevin and the others were all twelfth grade students, and next year they would leave Medford due to promotion.
"That's great," Mike smiled. He had now fulfilled his previous promise to Sheldon.
"Don't get happy too soon," Ms. Sharon said rigorously, "Tomorrow, I still need to assess Sheldon's true level before deciding if he is qualified to stay."
"Of course—" Mike had no objection to this.
With Sheldon's ability, in terms of assessing intelligence, as long as he wanted to stay, it should be very simple.
After bidding farewell to Ms. Sharon, Mike went home with Cady and enjoyed their pleasant time together.
Meanwhile, Sheldon, who was kept after school, did not fare so well.
When he arrived at the large classroom for detention, there were already about ten people gathered there.
"Excuse me—" Sheldon, as usual, sat in the middle of the first row of the classroom and asked carefully, "When will the moral education teacher arrive?"
The classroom fell silent for a moment because of Sheldon's question. Then, a burly German-American youth stood up and shouted exaggeratedly, "He said moral education teacher!!!"
Everyone in the classroom exchanged glances, then burst into exaggerated laughter.
The youth, still laughing, came before Sheldon. He looked down at Sheldon and said with a smile, "My name is Kemite..."
"H-hello, Kemite—" Sheldon looked up and stammered, "My name is Sheldon, Sheldon Lee Cooper. Nice to meet you."
Sheldon forced a smile and then noticed the students still laughing nearby, asking in confusion, "What are they laughing at?"
"Don't mind such a small problem," Kemite put on a familiar demeanor, "You want to know where the moral education teacher is, right?"
Sheldon nodded quickly. As far as he knew, after students were kept after school, there would be a special moral education teacher to provide ideological education to these people.
"No one will come to manage us..." Kemite said with a half-smile, looking somewhat proud.
"Why?" Sheldon asked in return.
"There's no why!" Kemite put away the smile on his face, as if he didn't want to elaborate on that question.
Then, he changed the subject and continued, "Sheldon, right? I know you. I have something I need your help with..."
"What is it?" Sheldon asked cautiously.
Sheldon didn't know the person in front of him at all before, and he didn't think he could help the other party with anything.
"I heard that you have a very good relationship with Mike, who's been quite popular recently," Kemite said, "So, after school tomorrow, can you help me arrange for him to meet me at the school gate?"
Sheldon's brain short-circuited for a moment and he hadn't reacted yet: "You want to get to know Mike? That's simple, I can take you to see him directly tomorrow."
Sheldon clearly misunderstood now. He thought Kemite wanted to arrange a meeting with Mike to become friends with him.
However, the opposite was true.
Kemite waved his hand comically and said, "No, no, no, that's not what I mean. I just want to see him at the gate after school tomorrow."
One might say that Kemite and Mike had no interaction whatsoever, and there couldn't possibly be any grievances between them.
However, things were just that coincidental. Kemite was a follower of Regina, and Mike really disliked Regina.
So, it could be said that the two had an interaction because of Regina.
Not to mention, the Queen Bee had subtly mentioned to Kemite that she was at odds with Mike.
Overall, Mike was suffering an undeserved calamity, being hated because of Regina.
Of course, it could also be understood that Mike had a face that made people jealous. Plus, he had been too popular at school recently. So, naturally, he would make some people dislike him.
And Sheldon, who was kept after school in the classroom, also understood Kemite's ill intentions. He tentatively said, "Can I not help with this?"
"What do you think?" Kemite showed a friendly smile.
Alright, looking at the other party's strong physique, Sheldon reluctantly agreed to his request.
As the saying goes: A wise man doesn't fight when the odds are against him.
Moreover, based on Sheldon's understanding of Mike, Mike might not suffer a loss when he encountered Kemite.
Thinking about it, Sheldon had been there to watch Mike's football performance several times.
Mike's powerful and repeated breakthroughs in performance had also left a deep impression on Sheldon.
Here, Kemite saw that Sheldon had agreed to his request and no longer made things difficult for him.
During the remaining detention time, both sides seemed to have tacitly reached a non-interference agreement.
