Chapter 121 - Chapter 122 A Major Incident

As expected, the school adopted a cold-shoulder approach to the conflict between Mike and Kermit.

They simply had Ms. Elizabeth, the homeroom teacher, issue Mike a week-long, inconsequential detention, and that was the end of it.

The school's lenient punishment clearly showed an intention to protect Mike, which further elevated his reputation within the school.

Now, even the school's delinquent groups knew there was an unapproachable tough guy in the eleventh grade.

Meanwhile, ever since Mike had warned her alone again, Regina watched Mike and Cady go out together every day, and the fire of jealousy in her heart inexplicably burned even fiercer.

Finally, at noon this Friday, Regina, taking advantage of the students going to lunch, distributed hundreds of prepared flyers to the corridors and various corners of the teaching building.

The content of these flyers was precisely Regina's copies of her notebook, which recorded many people's little secrets at school.

It's easy to imagine how sensational it would be if these private little secrets spread throughout the school.

Even Regina dared not bear the consequences of such an act. So, to clear herself of suspicion, Queen Bee ruthlessly summarized a full page of bad things about herself, mixing them with various other messages, and spread them out as well.

Afterward, students who had eaten lunch discovered the densely scattered flyers on the floor in the corridor. After seeing the content on the flyers, the corridor gradually became lively.

"XXX, you're actually trying to steal my man!"

"XXX, you scumbag, how dare you two-time..."

"Oh, the principal's hair, it's a wig after all..."

...

Amidst shouts of rage and exclamations, many good sisters, good brothers, or lovers whose secrets had been exposed in the corridor instantly turned into enemies, not hesitating to come to blows.

Here, the little secrets spread by Regina were mainly divided into two categories: one was exposing bad things someone had done, such as someone stealing another's partner, or someone dating multiple people.

The other category was exposing hidden secrets about someone, such as someone wearing a wig or someone hiding their weight.

Of course, no matter which type of secret, being exposed in public easily leads to social death.

"Mike, your picture is printed on this..." Lina exclaimed, tearing a flyer from the corridor wall.

On these flyers, most others had their names listed, followed by a record of the bad things they had done.

Only Mike's flyer had a color photo printed on it, with the words "Scumbag" written below in bold red, and then smaller print below that with phrases like "Womanizer" and "Lecherous."

It could be said that Regina had put some thought into targeting Mike.

Lina, having seen the content on the flyer, also turned to look at Mike with a strange expression.

"Lina, please let me explain..." Mike hadn't expected such a thing to happen.

"No need to explain to me." Lina shook her head, relieved, then pointed to the corridor as if holding back a laugh: "You should look over there!"

In the chaotic corridor, besides some students whose secrets had been exposed and were now fighting, there were also some students watching the commotion. Among them, some girls had also discovered Mike's unique flyer.

They looked as if they wanted to collect that special flyer separately.

"Damn it!" Mike grew anxious at the sight, no longer bothering to explain to Lina, and quickly rushed into the crowd.

Just as Mike had retrieved quite a few of his flyers, the commotion here finally alerted the school's administration.

Principal Tom led a group of teachers to the scene.

Coincidentally, at that moment, a flyer with Principal Tom's name printed on it floated down from the wall into his own hand.

Upon seeing the content, Principal Tom's face turned beet red with anger, almost flinging his wig off.

"Tim, quickly gather people to collect these flyers!" Principal Tom shouted to the dean of students beside him.

"Oh, okay—" Tim replied, a little dazed.

He also held a flyer with his name on it, which stated that Dean of Students Tim had a crush on Ms. Sharon.

Tim Meadows, who appeared to be in his thirties, had never had a girlfriend, and it was rumored in the school that he didn't like women.

Looking at it this way, this flyer wasn't necessarily a bad thing for him.

After secretly glancing at Ms. Sharon's expressionless face beside him, Tim led a group of the school's physical education teachers and security personnel to suppress the chaotic students.

More than half an hour passed, and Tim collected a large stack of flyers. Some of the troublemaking students were also brought under control and stood neatly against the wall.

Seeing that the situation was under control, Principal Tom breathed a sigh of relief. After taking all the flyers, he quietly said to Tim: "I'll leave things here to you. Don't let it escalate further."

"Understood—" Tim nodded, comprehending.

Just as Principal Tom was about to leave, a team of law enforcement officers rushed into the school.

"Excuse me, who is Ms. Sharon?" the fully armed law enforcement captain asked sternly.

"I am Sharon. Is there something?" Ms. Sharon stepped forward.

"Someone suspects you of purchasing and possessing contraband. Please cooperate with our investigation." After the law enforcement captain finished speaking, he gestured to several law enforcement officers to surround Ms. Sharon.

At the same time, a female law enforcement officer began to search her.

"What exactly is going on?" Seeing this, Tim quickly went to Ms. Sharon's side and questioned the law enforcement officers.

The law enforcement captain didn't say much, simply pulling out a flyer. It clearly listed Sharon's name and the alleged offense.

"This must be a misunderstanding. I can vouch for her character; Ms. Sharon is not that kind of person," Tim said anxiously.

Given Ms. Sharon's identity, if she were truly involved with contraband, the consequences would be very serious.

"This is standard procedure. Please do not obstruct law enforcement." The law enforcement captain did not explain further, pressing Ms. Sharon, who still didn't know what was happening, towards the teachers' office.

"Wait—"

Watching Ms. Sharon being led away, Tim's face grew even more anxious, and he was about to chase after her.

"You stay here and handle the students. I'll keep an eye on things over there..." Principal Tom, with a grave expression, stopped Tim.

Over the years, Principal Tom had managed Medford High very well. Although he was getting on in years, he still had a chance to be promoted further.

Now that such a thing had happened at the school, he was the most anxious.

Not long after the principal left, Cady, having heard the news, arrived at the scene with her two good friends, Damian and Janis.

When she learned that Ms. Sharon had been taken away due to rumors of contraband, Cady immediately linked it to her own previous actions.

She realized that it was very likely that Ms. Sharon had been implicated because of something she had inadvertently said earlier.

At this moment, the law enforcement officers who had gone to search the office also returned, escorting Ms. Sharon.

"How are things?" Tim quickly went up to her and asked.

Ms. Sharon now understood what had happened; her face was much paler than when she had left earlier.

In response to Tim's question, Ms. Sharon merely shook her head, appearing to be in low spirits.

It was understandable that being reported by one's own students for hiding contraband would not put any teacher in a good mood.
