Chapter 400 - Personnel Contact for Shinomiya Kaguya and Shijo Maki

Tachibana Iwa deployed every available police personnel that could be moved, surrounding the outer perimeter of the Yu-Gi-Oh tournament arena until it was airtight. However, because there were people associated with the top two ranks of the Big Four Consortiums inside, he did not yet dare to act rashly.

Iwa watched with a complicated gaze.

On the other side, Mahiru was worried she wouldn't make it in time, so she mounted Sadaharu and sped through the streets. A large white dog standing 2 meters tall was incredibly conspicuous.

Sadaharu was very well cared for by Mahiru. His smooth fur was neatly brushed. As for the original owner, Sakata Gintoki, he had long been forgotten. After all, Gintoki was just a piece of trash who couldn't even feed him until he was full; Mahiru was far better.

If Gintoki knew this damn dog was badmouthing him in its heart, he would definitely pick a fight with the animal right then and there!

At the moment, Gintoki was tailing them from the rooftops because he was worried about the girl; after all, this was a job request. A girl named Kagura, who held an umbrella and wore a red Dragon Country-style qipao, was also hopping along the rooftops.

The two of them were on the left and right, while Mahiru, sitting atop Sadaharu, was running in the middle of the main road. Gintoki kept complaining, "What a pain, what a pain," but his eyes remained focused on Mahiru ahead, fearing that something might happen to her.

Meanwhile, Yujiro had arrived at the location and was currently engaging in wild destruction. Since there were many police officers blocking his path, he found them highly irritating and punched them aside, sending them flying one by one.

"Don't block the way! Move!"

Yujiro felt this group of police was a total nuisance. Even though that brat was right before his eyes, his progress was being hindered because these police officers had blockaded the road.

On the other side, Iwa, who was responsible for mobilizing the police, did not dare to let Yujiro enter. Besides the safety of his son-in-law for the sake of his daughter, the young mistresses from the Shinomiya Consortium and the Shijo family were still inside. If anything were to happen to the two of them, his position as the Superintendent General of the Japanese Police would be finished.

Inside the tournament arena.

Kaguya handed over her business card. Ryunosuke actually didn't want to accept it, but...

Ryunosuke looked up to scan the surroundings; the dense infrared sights were aimed at his head. If he dared to utter the word "No," he would most likely be shot full of holes like a honeycomb.

He was forced to accept the business card.

Kaguya spoke in her cold voice: "If you face any difficulties in the future, please contact me. The Shinomiya family will certainly assist with all our might."

After saying so, she placed both hands in front with noble etiquette and bowed deeply.

Ryunosuke certainly knew that there was no such thing as a free lunch in this world. If he accepted kindness and help from the opposing side, then when the opposing side needed something, he would have no reason to refuse.

However, this wasn't necessarily a bad thing either. The other party was the only daughter of the head of the Big Four Consortiums, Shinomiya Gan'an. Based on the description in the original work, the father had this daughter in his 60s, so he cherished her deeply. Even as death approached, he was still somewhat worried about her.

After all, Gan'an's three sons always wanted to fight over the power and assets of the Shinomiya Consortium. Having one daughter in the middle of that competition meant she would surely be swallowed whole by those bastard brothers of hers.

But there was one thing Ryunosuke didn't understand. How could Shirogane Miyuki win? How could he make a financial giant like the Shinomiya Consortium go bankrupt?

(The whole process felt nonsensical. Maybe Akasaka Aka, that old author, wanted to write a new book, so he wrote a bad ending in a hurry. Dammit, if I had been in Neon at that time, I definitely would have gone to his house in person!)

(Even the next work, Oshi no Ko, also ended poorly. He had the protagonist end up with the perpetrator, then the younger sister had to lose both her mother and brother, and then you tell me this is a happy ending (Grand Finale)? I will never support you again, you old author! If I ever dare to buy your book again, I'll jump from the 1st floor!)

(Well, actually jumping from the 1st floor is useless; I won't die anyway...)

Ryunosuke's cursing also gave him a bit of a safety loophole—who knows if he might eat his own words later?

While Ryunosuke was daydreaming, Maki also handed over a business card.

Ryunosuke accepted it unconsciously and immediately regretted it. By the time he snapped back to his senses, the two young mistresses had already disappeared.

The approximately 1000 infrared dots aimed at his head had also been withdrawn, proving they had truly left.

Ryunosuke looked at the two business cards in his hand; he didn't know if this was a blessing or a curse.

It seemed like more of a blessing than a curse. Considering their capabilities, this offer felt very advantageous. If he faced an enemy in the future that he couldn't resolve on his own, this could be a resource to be utilized.

Ryunosuke carefully put Kaguya and Maki's private contacts into the inner pocket of his clothes for safekeeping, then he headed toward the hospital.

He wasn't injured. The real pain he felt during the Shadow Game earlier—specifically, when the game ended and he won—had all vanished without a trace. Ryunosuke highly suspected that the pain had manifested because of himself. His "Chuunibyou Mode" apparently had that kind of side effect. It seemed he shouldn't use it carelessly in the future; at the very least, he had to assess the situation first.

Outside, Mahiru, riding the 2-meter-tall big white dog, arrived at the location and charged inside. The main problem was that these police officers were seriously blocking her way to see her husband.

The same thing was happening with Yujiro. He was also punching the police officers one by one, sending them soaring into the sky, making the officers fall like dumplings.

Sadaharu would not be outdone. He used his head to headbutt the police into the air one by one.

Police: "Dammit! Won't you let us live?! One is the strongest creature on earth, the other is a 2-meter dog from some genetic mutation. Not a single one is normal, how are we supposed to fight?!"

Sadaharu and Yujiro stared at each other, their eyes burning with high fighting spirit. This human and dog seemed to be competing to see who could make the most people get "headbutted/punched" into the sky.

Gintoki, who had just arrived there, could only sigh in resignation.

"What is with this guy and this dog? Do they want to get in or not?"

Mahiru sitting on Sadaharu's back, began to feel anxious. She couldn't waste any more time. If this continued, her chance to meet her husband would grow slimmer. She grabbed Sadaharu's neck and shook it forcefully.

"Stop playing around, Sadaharu! I want to go in and see my husband! If you're still naughty like this, I'll throw you away!"

"Wuu~ wuu~" Sadaharu let out a sad sound; he truly stopped messing around and began to run at full speed toward the tournament arena.
