York moved faster than anyone.
While Rocks and the executives were bogged down by sheer numbers, York's Holy Light cleared a path of pure ecstasy. Any Marine caught in the glow collapsed, useless.
Behind him, the chaos escalated.
"DAMN IT!! DON'T BLOCK ME!!"
Golden Lion Shiki roared. He touched the ground.
"Lion's Majesty: Earth Bind!"
The soil rose up like a tsunami, shaped into giant lion heads, swallowing hundreds of Marines alive.
"IDIOT SHIKI! YOU'LL BURY SHAKKY TOO!!"
Silver Axe swung his massive weapon, cleaving the earth lions in half.
Whitebeard held back his quake punches. He couldn't risk collapsing the island on top of their goal.
"We need to find the center!" Whitebeard shouted. "Push through!"
Meanwhile, Rocks broke away from the main group.
His Observation Haki scanned the chaos desperately.
'Alice! Teach! Where are you?!'
He knew his wife and son wouldn't be at the center. They were prey. They would be hiding on the outskirts, running for their lives.
But the sheer amount of panic and death on the island made sensing two specific heartbeats nearly impossible. Rocks had to rely on his eyes.
The Central Plaza.
York burst into the Grand Canyon.
"AHHH~~"
"STOP... K-MOCHI~~"
Marines and Celestial Dragons fell in waves before him. He ignored the nobles begging for mercy (or more pleasure). He was racing against time.
He reached the end of the canyon.
A semicircular plaza was built against the cliff face. In the center stood a high stone podium.
On the podium, nine small treasure chests were arranged in a circle.
"Nine?!" York skidded to a halt. "I thought there were only six fruits!"
'Maybe the extra chests hold something else... or someone else?'
He didn't have time to ponder.
Standing between him and the treasure was a group of armored figures. Their attire was distinct—white suits, capes, and an aura of supreme arrogance.
The God's Knights.
"A pirate?! He's already here?!"
The Knights turned, surprised that a lone rookie had breached their lines so fast.
York grinned.
"Holy Light."
FLASH.
"Ugh!"
"Mmm-hmm!"
Several of the male Knights groaned, their knees buckling as the pleasure wave hit them.
York chuckled. "All the men are affected? Looks like the ladies have more self-respect!"
There were seven Knights present.
Leading them was Saint Figarland Garling. He had blonde hair styled into a crescent moon shape and radiated a sharp, sword-like aura.
Flanking him were two women: one tall and cold, the other petite with a mushroom-shaped hat. Behind them stood a grim reaper-like figure in a horned helmet.
The other three were unfamiliar:
A blonde man with a cross-shaped beard.
A towering 5-meter-tall woman with shark teeth (likely a Fishman hybrid).
A massive 6-meter brute already in a Zoan Human-Beast form.
York assessed them.
'Garling is the threat. The others seem disjointed. And since the men are vulnerable to my fruit... this is winnable.'
"REPORT!"
A Marine shouted into a Den Den Mushi nearby. "Roger Pirates spotted on the West Beach!!"
Garling scowled. "First Rocks, now Roger? Filthy rats."
He pulled out his own golden Den Den Mushi.
"All Marines! Prioritize Celestial Dragon evacuation! The God's Knights will handle the pirates!"
...silence.
Garling frowned. He looked at the snail.
The Den Den Mushi's eyes were rolled back. It was drooling, a euphoric smile on its shell.
"Mmm~ Happy..." the snail whispered.
"DAMN IT! USELESS THING!!"
Garling smashed the horny snail into the pavement.
He drew his saber. The air sharpened instantly.
"Kill this pirate first! Then we move to the beach!"
"UNDERSTOOD!"
Garling vanished. He moved like moonlight, appearing instantly in front of York with a horizontal slash.
SWISH.
It was fast. But there was no black lightning.
York's eyes narrowed.
"No Conqueror's Coating? You're underestimating me, 'God'!!"
ZZZZZT!!
Black-red lightning exploded from York.
Armament Flow. Advanced Conqueror's Haki.
York stomped the ground, channeling kinetic force from his legs to his fist.
"FIST BONE: GALAXY CRUSH!!"
BOOM!
A terrifying shockwave of Haki slammed into Garling point-blank.
"NANI?!"
Garling's eyes bulged. He tried to block, but the sheer weight of the attack—Garp's brute force combined with York's ACoC—was overwhelming.
He was blasted backward like a cannonball.
CRASH!
The shockwave didn't stop. It roared through the plaza, engulfing the other Knights.
The male Knights, weakened by the Happy-Happy pleasure, were blown away like ragdolls. The female Knights crossed their arms, gritting their teeth as they were skidded back twenty meters.
Dust billowed. The plaza cracked.
The shockwave continued into the canyon, sending fleeing Celestial Dragons flying into the ravine.
Crack. Crack.
York walked out of the dust, cracking his knuckles. Black lightning danced around his shoulders.
He looked at the scattered Knights with a cold sneer.
"Is that all there is to the legendary God's Knights?"
