Once upon a time, on an island full of hybrids, there lived a great alpha who ruled the wolf pack. He was old and sick. He had three sons: Maison, Dylan, and Luca.
Luca was the youngest. His mind was never on the pack. He was focused on leaving the island. He thought he wasn't meant to be stuck here with his brothers. He had bigger dreams. He always dreamed of living among humans.
Now, his father was so sick they thought he could die at any moment. His brothers were different they were focused on ruling, on taking their father's place. But Luca was different. He didn't want to rule. He wanted to run.
Flashback to a year ago.
Luca was hunting, looking for prey, when he saw a boat coming from afar. He didn't have time to think. He raced to tell the others about the danger.
War came.
They overcame the people, but they lost many soldiers. When the smoke cleared, Luca saw a man named Jimmy.
Jimmy was one of a kind. He had blonde hair and blue eyes, and stood six feet tall. He was a general's son, one of the people who hunted witches and hybrids. All of Jimmy's men were dead. He was the only survivor, but he was badly injured.
Luca had a second thought about helping him. The pack had one rule: no helping humans.
But Luca still insisted. He took Jimmy to his secret base, a hidden place where he kept things left by his mom his mom was late. Then he went out to the bushes to look for a cure a special flower that could cure any sickness. When he found it, he brought it back and treated Jimmy's wounds.
When Jimmy finally woke up, he was startled.
"Where am I?"
Luca had gone out to find some food for jimmy.When he came back, jimmy was scared to get too close.
Luca saw his fear. Don't be scared," he said. His voice was calm. jimmy responded Where am I.
Luca spoke from the doorway. "You were badly injured. I saved you. Is that how humans appreciate people?"
Jimmy looked at him, at this hybrid who defied his own kind. "Thank you," he said, the words heavy and real. Then he asked how did I end up here where are my people Luca looked at him and was admiring how handsome he looks.
