Chapter 1 - Reincarnated In A New World

The sun was slowly sinking toward the horizon. Beneath the crimson sky, a lone young man was walking along the roadside.

His name is Art Smith.

He was twenty-nine years old. Married to a beautiful wife. A soldier by profession.

To the outside world, his life looked perfect. Stable career. A family. Respect.

But inside…

He was suffering.

He wasn't a bad person. At least, he didn't think so. He had always lived by rules. By discipline. By responsibility.

And yet…

He was addicted to something he should never have been.

Women.

He had been loyal his entire life, yet an uncontrollable desire constantly gnawed at him from within. It was as if something inside him was trying to crawl out and break free.

Any beautiful woman he saw stirred his mind. Even a brief glimpse of exposed thighs was enough to make his thoughts spiral out of control.

But he lived in a world bound by laws and morals.

A world where such desires were neither accepted nor forgiven.

Here, women did not want to share their men. And men were not allowed to cross that line.

So he could only bury those thoughts deep inside.

Sometimes, he would fantasize—what if he could be reborn in another world? A world where it wasn't wrong to have multiple wives or women. A world where such desires weren't treated as sins but welcomed and praised. A world where no one tried to cage someone's heart.

But he knew.

Such thoughts were foolish. Things like that only existed in web novels, manga, and anime.

Not in reality.

Just as he was lost in those thoughts...

A sudden scream rang out from a nearby filling station.

His body moved before his mind could react.

Years in uniform had trained his instincts too well. Also, he always prioritized helping others before his own safety.

He rushed toward the sound.

When he arrived, he saw a young woman who had come to refuel her car. A man in his mid-thirties was trying to drag her toward a side room.

His intentions were obvious. Disgustingly obvious.

For a brief moment, a bitter irony flashed through Art's mind. That man was trying to do exactly what he himself struggled to suppress.

But wanting something…

And forcing it…

Were two completely different things.

Art didn't hesitate.

He rushed forward, grabbed the man's wrist, and yanked him away from the girl.

The man tried to fight back. But Art answered with a punch to the stomach.

The attacker doubled over, gasping in pain.

And the girl stumbled free. Her shoulders were still trembling. "T.... Thank you… thank you so much…" she said with teary eyes, her voice shaking. "If you weren't here, that person would have…" She couldn't finish her sentence.

Tears spilled from her eyes as she covered her face and started sobbing.

Art looked at her properly for the first time.

Earlier, everything had happened too fast. He had only seen a victim who needed help.

But now…

He saw her.

She was stunning. Her long hair fell over her shoulders, and she was wearing a delicate white dress. It was elegant, but simple. Though her chest was adequately covered, her thick, exposed thighs were impossible to ignore.

Under the streetlights, her figure looked almost unreal.

For a brief moment, Art's heart skipped a beat. His blood rushed.

His instincts, the ones he had always tried to suppress, stirred violently.

But he clenched his fists. He took a slow breath and forced those thoughts down. "Don't worry," he said firmly. "You're safe now. Let me take you to your car."

His voice was steady, even though his heart and lower head were pounding much faster than they should have been.

The girl nodded weakly and wiped her tears. She followed him, staying close, as if afraid the world itself might suddenly turn against her again.

But they had only taken a few steps when....

"Die!" A hoarse, crazed roar erupted from behind them.

Art felt something cold tear into his side.

Schlk!

For a moment, his mind went completely blank. Pain exploded through his body. His legs almost gave out.

The girl screamed. "No!!"

Art looked down.

A knife. Buried on his side.

The man he had just knocked down was standing behind him, eyes full of madness and hatred.

Art's vision shook. But his training and his will did not. He turned, gritting his teeth through the pain.

"You bastard…" Art growled.

With his last burst of strength, he grabbed the man's wrist, wrenched the knife out, and slammed him against the wall.

"I will hunt you to the end of the world."

And then, without hesitation, he drove the blade forward, straight into the man's chest.

The attacker's eyes widened.

His body went stiff. Then he collapsed. Dead.

Art staggered back.

He had won. But he had also lost.

The world spun.

His strength drained out of him like water leaking from a broken cup. His knees hit the ground.

And then....

Thud!

He collapsed.

The girl rushed to his side, panic and tears all over her face. "No… no… please don't die… please…" she cried, pressing her hands against his wound. "I'm calling an ambulance! Please hold on!"

Art tried to speak. But his lips wouldn't move.

His vision was turning dark. The last thing he heard was her voice, trembling and desperate. "Don't die… please…"

Then the distant wail of a siren.

And then....

Nothing.....

____________

An unknown amount of time had passed.

A young man opened his eyes. Slowly. Confused.

The first thing he felt was… softness. Warmth.

And then a strange, unfamiliar scent.

"What?"

He sat up abruptly.

He was in a room he had never seen before.

The furniture was different. The walls were different. Everything felt… wrong. Unfamiliar. As if he were inside a virtual reality — inside a world in the past.

And then he noticed something else. A young woman was lying beside him.

Naked. Peacefully sleeping. So that's why he felt the familiar softness and warmth.

Art's brain stopped working.

"What the hell…?" he muttered. "Where am I? Wasn't I just… dying?"

He looked down at his body. His clothes were gone.

More importantly...

He touched his side. The wound.

It was gone!

Not even a scar.

And not only that… his body felt different.

Lighter. Younger. And.....

Unfamiliar!

His heart started racing.

Just as panic was about to take over...

A translucent figure appeared in front of him.

"Surprised, aren't you?" the figure said calmly.

"Who?!" Art shouted and shrieked back on the bed.

The figure didn't reply. Instead, he waved his hand slightly, and the world around them shattered.

In the next instant, Art found himself floating in a boundless void, facing that mysterious existence.

"Is it important who I am?" the figure finally said. "What matters is you. You died," the figure continued. "And I brought you here."

Art's mind shook. "Died…? Then… this is… the afterlife?"

"Not exactly." The figure's voice turned amused. "You, pervert. You always wanted a life filled with women, didn't you?"

Art's face stiffened. "What…?"

"Hahaha! I will give you that life. Power, too," the figure said. "But in return, you will do one thing for me."

"What thing?"

"There is someone even I cannot kill," the figure said calmly. "So I created a system. A system that can only bind to a mortal."

The figure paused for a second.

"I was impressed by you. Your discipline. Your restraint. Your righteousness. Even with your excessive desires, you never crossed the line."

Art clenched his fists. "But what about my wife?"

"She will grieve," the figure replied. "But she will find someone better. Someone who will love her properly, just as you did. But not someone like you who fights his own nature every day."

Silence.

Art closed his eyes. He fell into deep thoughts.

For a long time, he said nothing.

Then he opened his mouth again.

"…Alright," he said. "I agree."

"Good," the figure said. "Then go. Live the life you always dreamed of. Grow stronger. The system will guide you. And when the time comes…"

The figure smiled. "Kill what I cannot."

The void disappeared.

Art's eyes snapped open again.

He was back in the room, back on the bed. The naked girl was still lying beside him, breathing softly.

And then....

A translucent blue panel appeared before his eyes.

Art stared at it.

His heart started pounding.

"…So," he whispered, "this is really happening."

A new life. A new world. And a destiny he could no longer escape.
