I want to give you an important update about One Piece: Between Worlds, Beneath the Waves. Over time, I realized that the original version of the fanfic had inconsistencies, plot holes, and repeated scenes that affected the story's flow. To improve your reading experience, I've undertaken a heavy revision of the entire fanfic.
Here's what has changed:
Seamless Storytelling – All chapters have been edited for logical progression, continuity, and clarity. Each event now flows naturally from the previous one, and repetition has been removed.
Character Development Consistency – Maris' growth—from her childhood on Lunaris Island to her early East Blue adventures—is now fully aligned with her age, experiences, and powers. Supporting characters, like Kuroha Rei, are introduced gradually, with bonds built before formal recruitment or key events.
World-Building Accuracy – Lunaris Island is now consistently portrayed as a hidden, forgotten island with no villages or towns, untouched by human civilization. The East Blue setting also reflects Maris' perspective and timeline accurately.
Plot Enhancements & Chapter Updates – Some older chapters were deleted to make way for new, more cohesive chapters in the future. This allows for better pacing, more focused storytelling, and proper buildup of Maris' journey as a bounty hunter, her ship-building plans, and crew recruitment.
Continuity Across Chapters – The story now progresses logically: nothing is repeated, every new experience contributes to Maris' development, and setups for future events are woven in naturally.
This revision is about polishing the story while keeping its heart intact: a young girl from a hidden island, growing into a formidable leader, exploring the seas, and building a crew that will change her world.
