JAX.
I drove back to the class area, feeling a strange relief. At least now, I could teach Rox a lesson. If he had apologized earlier, I would have taken him back with me, but he refused. He chose to stay stubborn, and I was done being patient with him.
With Azrael and Raze by his side, Rox had grown bold. Too bold. I was going to break that boldness and make sure he never crossed me again.
I stepped out of the car and noticed the bruises from the accident earlier were still there. That was strange. As a werewolf, I should have healed by now, but nothing had changed.
Could it be the same thing that happened to Azrael? No. That was impossible.
I got back into the car and started driving toward the clinic. Halfway there, I saw the road that led to the forest. My heart jumped when I thought about Rox and how I had left him there alone. He was annoying, rude, and stubborn, but the idea of him being in danger made my chest tight.
