Chapter8: Law Office or Cat Commando Headquarters?

It was a long night for Rina. Tucked under her covers, she dreamt of a peaceful office morning—one where Mr. Diyari was quietly handling files and Palla was fast asleep. She whispered to herself, "Dear God, I have seen much hardship, but I made it to this day to be a source of pride for my country. Please make my remaining tasks easy. I hope my mother is proud of me, and I pray that Mr. Diyari and Palla find the right path and stop exhausting me."

Eventually, Rina drifted into a deep sleep, only to be met by another chaotic dream. In it, Mr. Diyari was talking to Rina's mother, saying, "My lady, this Rina is extraordinary. Perhaps one day she will be my future wife!" Even Palla seemed to agree, letting out a supportive "Meow, meow!" Her mother replied, "Only God knows what destiny holds." Mr. Diyari insisted, "Rest assured, I will win Rina over."

Morning came, and Rina woke up startled. "Oh God, what was that? I hope it doesn't come true! I have a future ahead of me; it's too early for this drama." She tried to brush off the dream. Her mother called out, "Rina, daughter, come eat your breakfast." During the meal, her mother warned, "Keep an eye on that crazy secretary; he's turned your office into a comedy club." Rina laughed, "Don't worry, mother, I'll keep him in line."

After kissing her mother's head, Rina headed to the office, only to find something far worse had happened. Mr. Diyari and Palla were busy drafting an "international plot" that threatened to shake the history of the legal profession. Her beautiful black sign that read Rina's Law Office had been torn down. In its place, Mr. Diyari had hung a massive banner featuring a picture of Palla dressed as a military general. The text read:

> Central Headquarters of the Distinguished and Active Commando Palla > Global Museum of Slander Recognition > General Manager: The Honorable Mr. Diyari

>

Rina screamed, "What is wrong with you people?! You're driving me insane! Mr. Diyari, what is this? Is this a law office or a military base? This has gone too far!"

Mr. Diyari was draped in a fabric that looked like a theater curtain, with his water pistol holstered to his belt. He said with utmost passion, "Hey, Ms. Rina! Please, do not shout. Judge Palla is resting and must not be disturbed. No chaos allowed! Today, the office has transformed into a museum. Anyone entering must pay 5,000 Dinars just to see where Palla sits. I even collected the water I splashed on the judge yesterday into a bottle and named it 'The Essence of Honorable Palla'—it's the water that purified the judge!"

Rina sighed, "Mr. Diyari, I won't even argue. It's useless. I'd rather focus on my work than waste breath on words that fall on deaf ears."

Meanwhile, in prison, Liva heard the news about Palla. She was so furious she almost tore the cell apart trying to escape. When she failed, she declared a historic hunger strike. She sat in the middle of the prison yard and shouted, "Help! Oh, you police, you slanderers, you liars! Rina has turned her cat into a legend while I, a fashion model, am here washing clothes? This is not justice! I will no longer eat bread; I will only eat garlic so my breath becomes a weapon! And I won't speak until Rina sends me Chanel makeup!"

The police laughed, "Hey, crazy Liva! If you eat that much garlic, even the cockroaches in your head will perish!" Liva snapped back, "Don't worry, I've made masks for my cockroaches out of Rina's old clothes. My cockroaches are pilots! If Rina doesn't send that makeup, I will deploy them into Mr. Diyari's head. Let's see who becomes a museum then! Hahaha!"

Later that day, Mr. Diyari—without Rina's knowledge—entered Palla into a "Most Beautiful Cat" competition. Rina was forced to attend, looking miserable. Mr. Diyari insisted, "Ms. Rina, you must come! The office's reputation is at stake. People will say Rina is afraid her cat won't win."

When they arrived at the hall, all the other cats were cute and sweet. But Palla? Mr. Diyari had dressed him in a giant black tie, making him look like a city Mufti. When Palla faced the jury, they asked, "Why is this cat looking at us so seriously?"

Mr. Diyari shouted, "Gentlemen, what are you talking about? This is no ordinary cat. This is a Legal Cat! He is here to see which of you is committing slander!"

Suddenly, Palla saw another cat eating fish. He lunged at it, starting a brutal fight until the other cat was bleeding. Mr. Diyari screamed, "Run! There's a huge problem! These are Liva's spy cats! Run!" The competition collapsed into chaos as people fled. Rina could only hide her face with her bag and run.

That night, after returning home, Rina found a letter on her desk. It was filthy, written in mud by Liva from prison. It read:

> "I heard your cat caused a riot at the competition. He's become a street fighter. Meanwhile, I am training my cockroaches to fly. I've named one 'Little Mr. Diyari.' Tomorrow, they will reach your office. Send the Chanel makeup, or I'll send them into your mouth while you sleep, so you can taste how bitter slander really is!"

>

Rina read the muddy letter and didn't cry or get angry. A tired smile touched her lips. She looked at Palla, who was twitching in his sleep as if still fighting spy cats, and at Mr. Diyari, who was busy cleaning his water pistol for the upcoming "Cockroach War."

Rina thought to herself, "Last night's dream was true. My life has become a giant circus where justice is measured by water pistols and peace by Chanel makeup. But whatever happens, this is my life. It's time to stop being afraid and start enjoying the madness."

She turned off the lights and left the office to the "commandos," while high in the sky, Liva's first pilot cockroach was testing its wings for tomorrow's raid.
