**Day 30? The Farthest Labyrinth 90F**
Wraith-san left behind a magic stone and this gorgeous drop: "Element Necklace – Great Magic Attribute Up (Large), Great Magic Defense (Large), Great Magic Absorption (Large)." Covered in salt, but piled up nicely. This thing would be perfect for magic combat, magic defense, maybe even boost mana cladding… I want it so bad. …But the design is way too glamorous. This isn't a high-school-boy problem anymore—this is straight-up celebrity, high-society, ultra-posh territory. You'd wear this to a real fancy party. Totally geared toward women: dangling assorted jewels, massive centerpiece gem—diamond? Or some fantasy super-diamond? Over-the-top luxurious! I've never been invited to a party. Never been to one. Never will be. I'm crashing at shady inns on credit, for crying out loud.
Alright. Time to dedicate it.
I shove it onto Jito-eyed Armor Committee Chair, who's still glaring daggers. She immediately starts putting it on all excitedly. Yeah, she looks happy, so it's fine. Former-lich vibes, maybe she'll use magic too. …But wait. Haven't I been donating way too much gear to her? No, no—as the summoner/master/whatever, outfitting your servant is basic responsibility, right? Silver armor, cloak, now ring and necklace? Am I the sugar daddy here? Wait, I literally called it "dedication" myself. Am I turning into a believer? Worshipping a skeleton feels kinda cult-y, but whatever. Gods in this world are just that useless broken old geezer anyway. Lectures galore, zero bowing. Never bowing. Absolutely never.
Finally made it to the 80s, huh… Still starting from 89F though. Long way to go.
Peek through the usual hole—and there's a monkey staring back. Uki?
"Hanuman Lv89." God-monkey. Pretty sure that's from Indonesia or somewhere? Southeast Asia? Oriental-looking outfit, yeah.
Monkeys are agile, so no more easy drops or pokes. Lv89, intelligent, and in a pack. Group tactics.
God-monkey, so probably smart—probably impossible, right? …Tossed in some paralysis mushrooms anyway.
They fought over them, ate them, spasmed, and collapsed. …Yup. Just monkeys.
Look, fighting them head-on seemed impossible anyway? This isn't even a proper dungeon battle anymore. It's pest control. Vermin extermination. Grumbling the whole time while finishing off the Hanumans. Seriously, their SpE and DeX are over 800, plus "Super Strength," "Swift Body," "Coordination," "Magic Reflection." Actually fighting them would be suicide-tier. But somehow, poisoning them, paralyzing them, and killing them… yeah, I'm definitely the villain here. By general consensus. If my favorability drops any lower, what even happens? Game over?
Pulling myself together—88F. Lv88. If it's fighter jets or something, I'm out. …"Fire Unicorn Lv88." …Area staff? Horse? Mercenary vibes would be strong.
And then, the whole herd got dismounted at once. Thank you for your service.
Would've been nice if they were Pegasi… Unicorns are basically virgin-obsessed horses, right? And horses have weak legs anyway? Break a leg and it's over. These guys are practically begging to be dropped. No choice, right? Gotta drop 'em. They literally lined up at the gate like "please drop us." Normal reaction is to drop them. Obviously.
Jito-eyed Armor Committee Chair, who supposedly gained richer emotions lately, feels like she's only doing jito eyes these days? She still helps with the finishing blows, though.
"Ooh, treasure chest! These are popping up more often, huh? Probably untouched since nobody's made it this far?"
Looks like gloves. I can actually wear these. Jito-eyed Armor Committee Chair doesn't seem interested—full plate and all.
Umm… "Gauntlets of Paradox – Left: Nullifies Physical/Magic Attacks, Right: Nullifies Physical/Magic Defense"? Some metal plates here and there, but mostly leather? Gauntlets?
So left hand is basically a shield, right hand is a spear? I'm ambidextrous though… Eh, if I were left-handed this would be unusable, so I'll take it as a win. Slipped them on right away.
They look a tiny bit more gauntlet-y now? Metal accents help. "Wooden Staff?" and "Cape?" didn't change design at all. Oh, but the "Leather Boots" shifted a little? Subtle, but after inserting "Acceleration Boots," they feel tighter, more form-fitting? If inserting items changes appearance, maybe I should collect cool-looking ones? Avoid weird patterns, though.
But left hand nullifying physical/magic attacks… is that supposed to be cool? Do I go "Kuh!" and thrust my left hand out dramatically to block? Am I a breaker now? I'd get yelled at if I tried, so I won't… but I practiced that pose back in middle school, second year. Would've been epic with a falling sister from the sky. Falling horse? Nah, protagonist material zero. Never saved a falling horse either.
"Right, horses gone. 87F next, yeah? What's up there?"
Poke a small hole, peek. Why doesn't this world have any sexy monster girls? This is no fun. Even low-angle peeking just gets me horses.
Not fun at all… "Lightning Bee Lv87." Bzzzzzzzz all night, no sleep? No, just annoying? Worse than mosquitoes. Annoyingly noisy!
I fumigated them.
Sometimes a few ignore the smoke and zoom in at insane speed? Swatting them down while crushing nonstop. Seriously fast. Way faster than 150 km/h at batting center? How is Jito-eyed Armor Lady casually slicing them mid-flight without even looking? I'm desperately flailing here, barely making it. By the time I sense them, they're already in my face?
But… even after crushing so many, still about half left? Maybe less than half? How many were there? 400? 500? More? Halfway through and I'm already facing overtime just collecting stones! Unfair labor practices! What do you think workers' rights are, huh?! I'm a NEET! A NEET! How much do I have to work before I can go home?!
"If I cash all these in, I'm rich. Absolutely. Magic stone market crash incoming. Finally I can afford to full-time NEET and hikikomori in peace? Build a mansion right here?"
Renovations usually start from the first floor, though. Suddenly putting a grand bathhouse on 100F? Getting there is life-or-death, coming back means catching a cold from the temperature drop—no customers. Direct drop from pit trap is an option, but how many would actually make it back to the surface? Maybe test it with the otakus sometime. Drop some rocks on them too!
If the labyrinth actually had cliffs, I could air-walk back easy… Make a cliff, climb up, then push the otakus off? Great plan, but I don't have that kind of mana. Lv12 can't pull that off! Even if levels went up, cliffs are out. Pushing off still means pit traps. Yeah. When I get back, drop 'em.
