Damien stepped back before rising to his full height, his tall frame instantly towering over Jacqueline's much smaller one.
She didn't retreat.
Instead, she remained exactly where she was, her bare breasts brushing lightly against the fabric of his shirt.
Without breaking eye contact, Damien slipped his feet out of his shoes one at a time. His gaze remained locked on her with fierce intensity as he began undoing the buttons of his shirt, slowly, deliberately.
As he worked them open, the backs of his hands occasionally brushed against her breasts.
Jacqueline finally took a small step back.
For a moment, the urge to cover herself flickered through her mind under the weight of his dark, devouring stare. But she resisted the instinct.
She didn't want to hide.
In fact, she liked the way he was looking at her.
