A month passed, and things slowly began to settle.
Gérard, Dominique, and Damien had met with Cécile, and with her help, a powerful spell had been cast around both packs. It sealed their borders, preventing Henri from sneaking in using Inés's magic.
Security had been doubled. Every corner was guarded. Every movement watched.
They were ready.
Or as ready as they could be.
Still, tension lingered.
Cécile, especially, had grown increasingly restless. Her unease centered around one person Inés. They still had no clue where she was, no lead to follow, no trace to chase.
And that uncertainty weighed heavily on all of them.
Gérard had expected Henri to reach out again. But the silence stretched on, and it became clear Henri had realized Gérard would never side with him.
Even so, both the Ancient Blood pack and the North pack remained in danger.
As long as Inés was in Henri's hands, the balance of power was fragile.
She was a seer.
