The moment I stepped out of the room, I wanted to disappear. Not because I had done anything wrong but because I couldn't stop replaying my conversations with Hades or more specifically the fact that I had spent the entire night beside his bed like a lovesick fool.
My cheeks were burning red as I walked quickly. I kept cussing myself in my head.
How could I have fallen asleep? I should have left before the Alpha woke up. I didn't want him to know that I had stayed by his side.
"Ugghhh" I groaned.
Then I paused to think, he didn't look angry.
Maybe because he was happy to see you there, the voice that always spoke in my head said again.
I scoffed. Why would he be happy that I was there? He had no reason to. I touched the sides of my mouth to check if there was any sigh of drool.
"No." I groaned quietly.
A passing servant glanced at me and I pretended I had said nothing. The servant continued walking without a second glance at me.
