When the door closed behind Agnes, I sighed heavily. I leaned back in my chair, my head resting at the top. I listened as her footsteps disappeared down the corridor.
The room suddenly felt empty not because Agnes had left because of everything she had said. I stood up and walked toward the window. I ran a hand through my hair, trying to assimilate everything she had said.
They're already moving.
She hadn't said they were coming or preparing but moving. She added they had already infiltrated my pack and are hiding. It was messing with my thoughts. The fact that Iris aaa in danger.
You don't want to tell her who she is, my wolf chided but I shook my head.
"Even Agnes agrees with me that she shouldn't know her kind."
It doesn't do her any good. She needs to know her true self.
My wolf made sense but I couldn't listen to her advice. It was better she didn't know her mother was a witch and she is likely a witch and that's probably why the hunters are after her.
