Synopsis
Our protagonist wakes up to find himself in the Harry Potter world and in the body of nine-year-old Ron Weasley. Although he has memories of his past, he can't remember who he was, how he died, or his previous family. Just as he's wondering why he woke up in the body of the worst wizard possible, he learns he has a system. "If there is a system, then there's no problem. With a system, even Ron Weasley can achieve great things," he thinks. Thanks to his system, he gains a high-level crafter talent, but it doesn't instantly empower him. Everything depends on his effort and hard work. And Ron makes a decision. He will be Harry's first true friend, offering him a helping hand before he even starts Hogwarts. He will be Hermione's best friend, and when the time comes, he will ask her out. And with his crafter talent, he will become rich and make the Weasleys the wealthiest and most powerful family in Magical Britain. But in his first year at Hogwarts, an article he sees in a Muggle newspaper shows him that this world isn't just the Harry Potter world. And he needs to do something before a purple giant comes to this world and turns half the living things into dust. -------------- The main theme of this novel is our protagonist using his craft skills to create magical devices and build his own business empire, making a name for himself in the wizarding world. Chapter 1 - Why Ron Weasley?

Chapter 1: Why Ron Weasley?

The Burrow

Ronald Bilius Weasley

July 3, 1989, Monday

"Ugh..."

The red-haired, blue-eyed nine-year-old boy woke up and opened his eyes.

At first, he seemed confused. His head ached, nothing around him was familiar, and his memory was fuzzy.

At that moment, new memories suddenly flooded his mind. And with his memories of who and where he was, the headache and the blurring of his memory had subsided, but this time he faced a different problem.

'Why Ron Weasley? Why did he have to be one of the weakest people in the Harry Potter universe?' thought the new Ron.

-Ding

[System activated.]

Suddenly, a translucent blue screen appeared in front of Ron, accompanied by a notification sound. It resembled the game panels he'd seen while reading The Gamer or Solo Leveling manhwas.

'Oh. So, I have a System. Okay then. With a System, even Ron Weasley can achieve great things.'

-Ding

[You died in your previous life and transmigrated into the Harry Potter world.]

'Yeah. I understand that much. But I can't remember how I died. The memories of my life are still there, but nothing about my death. My old family... No, I can't remember them either, or my name from my past life. Only the memories of a 14-year-old boy from his ordinary life are there.'

-Ding

[You have obtained a starter pack. Would you like to open it?]

'Sure.'

[You have won a random talent draw. The talent wheel is being spun.]

Then a wheel appeared in front of Ron and began to spin. Inside the wheel, Ron could see names constantly changing across different-colored sections.

Potion-making, healing, astronomy, dark arts, alchemy, and many more...

And when the wheel finally stopped, the pointer pointed to a golden area. But the texts within the golden area were still changing.

Runic knowledge, enchanting, language...

After the "Language" text faded, nothing appeared for a few seconds, and then the word "Crafting" appeared. And this time, the text didn't look like it would disappear again.

-Ding

[Congratulations, you've obtained the Legendary-level Crafting Skill.]

[Crafting (Legendary): Allows the owner to understand everything about Crafting faster and apply it more easily. Thanks to the Legendary level, you can get inspiration frequently. Because Crafting requires the use of many other skills, it also raises your skill in these branches to Master Level.]

'Is that all? Will this talent just make it easier for me to learn and apply Crafting? Isn't there information to fill my head with? Do I have to learn everything from scratch?' Ron thought.

-Ding

[The feature that comes with a legendary skill has been activated: Mass Crafting Factory. The feature has been added among other system tabs.]

[Mass Crafting Factory: Host-produced crafting items can be mass-produced with this feature. Raw materials can be supplied by the host or by the factory at wholesale prices.]

'Oh. Not bad. Mass production is a problem in magical societies due to the low population of wizards and witches. This could be quite useful. So, what are the other starter pack gifts?'

[System has Status, Achievements, Library, Workshop, and Inventory features. Would you like to check it out, host?]

'Oi. Was this all the starter pack was?'

System: "…"

[Does the host want to see the starter pack's other contents before the system features?]

'Yes, please.'

[Congratulations, host, you've obtained a Training Wand.]

'And? Come on, system. Send them all at once.'

System: "…"

[Congratulations, host, you have obtained the complete educational materials of Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Ilvermorny wizarding schools.]

[Congratulations, host, you have obtained the beginner-level educational materials required for crafting.]

[Congratulations, host, you've obtained 1000 Galleons.]

[All starter pack contents have been delivered.]

'Apparently, there is nothing else. Anyway, there is nothing I can do. System, open Status tab.' Ron said, talking in his head.

Then, a larger System interface screen appeared before him than the previous screens.

Ron could see the Status heading near the top of the screen, but above it were tabs representing the System's features it had just mentioned.

Status, Achievements, Library, Workshop, Inventory, and MCF.

They were all there, like tabs in a web browser. Ron assumed the last one was the Mass Crafting Factory, a new addition to the System because of his legend-level crafting talent.

The information on the currently open Status page was quite simple.

---------------

Name: Ronald Bilius Weasley

Race: Human-Wizard

Birthday: March 1, 1980

Magic Power Scale: 63

Blood Purity: Pure-blood

Family: The Weasleys

Family Titles: Most Ancient House of Weasley, One of The Sacred Twenty-Eight

---------------

Other than the Magic Power Scale, the rest of the information was generally known to Ron.

He didn't know the Weasleys were a Most Ancient House, but that wasn't all that surprising. After all, while they might be poor now, the Weasleys were a well-established family.

After a bit of thinking, Ron remembered from his newly acquired memories that he had heard that the Malfoys were also a Most Ancient House.

The reason Lucius Malfoy held a Chair at the Wizengamot sessions was most likely because Draco was now Heir Apparent to the Noble and Most Ancient House Black.

At least Lucius Malfoy must have made such a claim. And after he appointed himself Regent of House Black, he gained a foothold in the Wizengamot.

Otherwise, House Malfoy, like House Weasley, wouldn't hold a Chair in the Wizengamot, as they weren't a Noble House, and Ron didn't think Lucius was a holder of the Order of Merlin.

But the Magic Power Scale part really confused Ron. What was it implying? And was Ron's current 62 good or bad? It was a bit difficult to comment, as he had no data to compare it to.

[Magic Power Scale: This indicates the maximum magical power a wizard or witch can wield. To use a standard wand, one needs approximately 100 magic power scale points. Wizards and witches who experience their second awakening at age 11, on average, possess this level of magic power.]

'Oh? I thought wizards and witches from the Harry Potter world didn't have magic pools.' Ron thought.

[Correction. The Magical Power Scale does not indicate a wizard's or witch's magical capacity. Wizards and witches are not subject to such limitations. They can continue to use magic as long as their stamina and mental fortitude allow. The Magical Power Scale shows the maximum power that the spells they use can unleash.]

"Hmm…" Ron mumbled and thought for a moment.

Then, he asked the System in his mind.

'So, if we think of wizards and witches as a car, the fuel is their stamina and mental fortitude, and as long as the fuel doesn't run out, the car keeps running. Meanwhile, the Magic Power Scale shows the car's horsepower. Is that correct?'

[Although this analogy is strange, it is pretty accurate, host.]

'So, the Magic Power Scale is what determines a wizard's and a witch's true power? System, how can I increase my magic scale power?' he asked.

Because this was what set wizards like Dumbledore and Voldemort apart from other ordinary wizards.

And Ron didn't want to be an ordinary wizard, if possible.

[A wizard or witch's magic power scale generally depends on their age and skill. However, the more magic they use, the more their magic power scale increases, just like a muscle developing. This is especially true when using powerful spells without a wand. Besides this, external methods like rituals exist, but they are quite risky.]

'Now that makes more sense. Voldemort must have performed many rituals on himself after leaving Magical Britain. Otherwise, it would have been very difficult for him to catch up to Dumbledore in terms of magical power.' Ron thought.

Ron then began exploring the features in the other tabs of the System interface.

The Achievements feature was similar to the achievement cards in games he played in his previous life. Ron would earn rewards from the system by accomplishing these achievements.

There were two types of achievements: Basic Achievements and Hidden Achievements.

The system had no information about Hidden Achievements, and Ron could only find out what they were after accomplishing them.

Basic Achievements, on the other hand, were clearly defined, and Ron could work on them knowing what they were beforehand.

It seemed that the easiest achievement he could get at the moment was casting his first spell, and he would deal with that later.

So, he continued to examine the other system features.

The Library and Workshop had similar features. They were both like virtual reality spaces that Ron could access while sleeping.

The Library housed all the information and books Ron had read, purchased, and scanned.

The Workshop was a place where Ron could create anything he wanted in virtual reality, tailored to his needs, and practice.

Many expensive-to-learn areas, such as potion-making, enchanting, and alchemy, could be easily developed here, and it seemed Ron could bring in real materials, produce them, and then export them.

And the best part was that time passed 100 times slower in these two features.

This meant that if Ron slept 8 hours a day, he could get more than 800 hours to study or practice. That was a month's worth of training time every day.

'The Achievement feature definitely seemed to be the system's main progression feature. On the other hand, the Library and Workshop are definitely work-to-win options. To succeed in these areas, I must be willing to work hard. I hope Ron's genes don't put me in a difficult position.' He thought.

And finally, the System's Inventory feature was practically identical to classic game inventories. Its main advantage was that it offered unlimited storage.

Essentially, it was a bottomless pouch with unlimited width. However, the Inventory could not be stolen or lost, and its contents could be removed with a single thought. It was convenient, and Ron had no intention of complaining.

'Now, what should I do? I have two years until I leave for Hogwarts, and I need to make the most of this time. But I also need to do something for Harry. I can't let his relatives abuse him for these two years.'

Ron was planning his future course of action when his thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a shout.

"RONNN! Wake up and come to breakfast!"

'Ugh... That was Molly Weasley, wasn't it? My mother. I'd better not make her angry. She was so scary in the movies when she was furious.'

"I'm awake, Mum. I'll be there in a few minutes." Ron shouted back.

'Looks like my planning will have to wait until after breakfast.' Ron thought and got out of bed.

End of Chapter 1.
