📖 Chapter 1: Death and Rebirth (Final Version)

Arjun Roy was a nobody.

No one noticed him. No one cared about him.

He worked day and night at a small warehouse, sorting packages, lifting heavy boxes, yet the money never stayed in his hands. Every month, he barely managed to pay rent, buy food, and keep the lights on.

That night, after a grueling double shift, Arjun walked down the empty, rain-soaked street. The neon lights flickered, and the chill of winter pierced through his thin jacket. Each step splashed water from the puddles onto his worn-out shoes. He thought about his life—about the countless times he had failed, about the loneliness that had become his constant companion.

A truck's headlights suddenly flashed in the darkness.

BOOM!

Everything turned black.

When Arjun opened his eyes again, he felt a strange mix of pain and warmth. A soft voice was crying nearby.

"Thank God… my son is alive…"

Son?

Arjun tried to speak, but only a weak, hoarse cry escaped his lips. He blinked, trying to focus, trying to understand. And then it hit him.

This was not his body.

Memories flooded his mind, chaotic and overwhelming.

He was not Arjun Roy, the poor warehouse worker anymore.

He had been reborn into the body of a boy from a poor family, living in a cramped rented room. The smell of old wood, damp walls, and cooking smoke filled his nostrils. His new hands were smaller, weaker, but the sensation of life felt sharper somehow.

Before he could process anything more—

🔔 DING!

A soft, blue transparent screen appeared floating in front of his eyes. Its glow reflected in his wide, terrified eyes.

[BILLIONAIRE SYSTEM ACTIVATED]

Host detected: Arjun Roy

Status: Reincarnated Successfully

Arjun's heart raced.

"A system…? Like those novels?" he whispered to himself.

The screen changed again:

[First Mission]

Help your family within 24 hours

Reward: ₹10,000 + Beginner Luck Buff

Arjun's tiny fists clenched tightly.

"In my last life, I was poor till death…"

"This time—"

His eyes shone with a new determination.

"I will become rich. No matter what."

The system flashed one last warning:

[Failure will result in punishment.]

For a moment, Arjun felt fear claw at his chest. Punishment? Could this system be dangerous? But he pushed the thought aside. Fear was for those who did nothing. He had already been powerless once; he would never let it happen again.

He stood slowly, feeling the new strength in his legs, the rhythm of a life that was not his own. The room was small and sparse, a single bed, a wooden table with peeling paint, and a flickering lamp. Outside, he could hear the faint voices of his new family—a mother humming softly, a younger sibling coughing in sleep.

The possibilities raced through his mind.

₹10,000 could change everything.

But how?

The system did not explain. It only provided the goal.

Arjun took a deep breath.

"I don't know what this system is, but I will survive. I will win. And I will rise."

A flicker of excitement surged through him.

This was not just rebirth. This was a chance—a real chance—to rewrite his fate.

And for the first time in his life, Arjun Roy smiled with confidence.o
