Late at night, in Amegakure, atop the central-most skyscraper.
Uzumaki Nagato sat on a specially made chair, eyes closed in rest. Even in sleep, his body twitched slightly from the pain of the wounds on his back and legs.
Given his current physical condition, especially with so many black rods embedded in his back, he had no way to lie down or sleep on his stomach. Every day, he could only sleep while sitting in his chair.
In his dreams, Nagato seemed to have returned to the past. A faint chill permeated his body, as if the cold rain from the sky was falling on him. He saw the scene of Yahiko dying by his hand once again... Under the immense psychological shock, he snapped his eyes open, only to find that he was no longer in Amegakure but on a desolate land. "The Gedo Statue was originally inside the Moon; now it has simply returned to its original place. As for you... I think you are a very useful catfish, so I brought you along."
Appearing alongside this voice were a handsome Blond Youth and a tall, peerless beauty. The youth's gaze toward Nagato was as if he were looking at some rare and exotic beast.
Nagato narrowed his eyes slightly. Years of suffering had long since tempered the originally introverted boy into a qualified Ninja. Sensing that his Six Paths incarnations had completely vanished, he practically without a word directly activated his Ninjutsu: "Shinra Tensei!"
