It was nearly ten o'clock when Xanthe arrived at Lorenzo's penthouse. A tote bag dangled from one of her shoulders, filled with candles, herbs, chalk, and other ingredients she needed for the Location Spell.
Funny enough, she hadn't needed to make a quick stop for the items. Everything she needed had been in Maia's trunk for weird stuff.
When the front door opened, Lorenzo was already waiting impatiently. "You're late."
Xanthe rolled her eyes and brushed past him. "You're welcome too."
Without waiting for a response, she headed toward the living room and began unloading her supplies onto the glass coffee table.
Lorenzo watched from a safe distance, arms folded tightly across his chest. "You always carry around creepy things like this?"
"We witches call it preparation."
"Weirdo."
"Says the man asking a witch to find his missing mother."
