Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

Saying this might sound a bit narcissistic, but honestly, I'm not even surprised anymore when inanimate objects react to my charm.

'If it can enchant even an Outer God, how could mere lifeless things hold out?'

In fact, right at this moment, reactions to me were overflowing in real time.

Looking down, I saw the blades of grass rustling beneath my feet.

Those blades were overflowing with an uncanny vitality.

Every time my toes brushed them, they quivered ever so slightly, as if resonating with my very existence.

Thanks to that, it felt less like I was standing on solid ground and more like I was floating atop a sea of grass.

And yet, it didn't hurt at all.

The blades of grass gently, tenderly pushed me away.

If anything, the sensation was ticklish and warm.

The fine veins of the leaves climbing between my toes fluttered and danced as if thrilled to be stepped on.

When the breeze swept by, the other grasses seemed to watch the scene with envy.

'Anyway... I finally checked my outfit.'

Someone might wonder why.

You could just look down anytime, so why hadn't I noticed until now?

But hey, given the circumstances...

The earth reacting to my charm, the lingering aura of some unidentified Outer God, the memories injected straight into my head...

I barely had a moment to catch my breath.

Plus, it hadn't even been a full hour since I woke up.

It was a situation plenty chaotic enough to excuse a little absentmindedness.

That's what I thought, anyway.

'Right, air?'

Yeah!

'...It really answered.'

Anyway.

My clothes were a loose-fitting, pristine white T-shirt and pants.

Considering how modern outfits are plastered with logos, embroidery, and prints, this felt pretty out of place.

The blank expanse of pure white fabric without a single decoration, the loose sway every time I moved my arms, the soft cotton that looked like it'd absorb sweat well...

I vaguely guessed it was something like the game's default starter gear.

And then it hit me, and I whispered softly.

'What do you think, clothes?'

...

The grass, the wind, even the air itself rustled and responded to my charm, yet this outfit clinging to my skin didn't so much as twitch.

Normally, that would be expected, but in this world, "normal" was starting to lose all meaning for me.

Clothes that don't react to my looks? Isn't that weird?

In a world of two-eyed people, one-eyed is the freak, but in a one-eyed world, two-eyed is the freak—the standard always belongs to the world itself.

'If I'm in a one-eyed world, I gotta think from a one-eyed perspective.'

In the game, starting gear varied by class.

Soldiers got fatigues, Mages got tracksuits, Office Workers got wrinkle-free suits, Actors got cardigans and jeans.

The names were boldly straightforward: "Cool Outfit."

If you picked female, it switched to "Pretty Outfit."

'Hilarious in all sorts of ways.'

So if I rolled Actor as my starting class, I'd habitually reroll with Reset Mara.

Actor was straight-up an entertainment class.

A role that lived up to the name.

Even though it was a charm build, everyone vaguely assumed "Actor class, right?"—turns out, that was unexpected.

[Um, instead of just staring blankly like that, how about trying it on?]

The Nameless Entity urged, as if prompting me.

The faint tremor in its voice hovered on the edge of anticipation, excitement, and anxiety.

The World was watching with sparkling eyes full of expectation.

To a third party, that gaze might feel oppressively hot and burdensome.

But I could tell.

The World wasn't waiting—it was simply savoring this exact moment.

Not just my breathing, but even my thoughts apparently painted a beautiful scene for it.

'It probably finds even this little musing of mine adorable.'

[Exactly. Hurry and put it on? I'm dying waiting here!]

"Hmm..."

Must've been my imagination.

Then again, how could I presume to guess the intentions of an Outer God-like being after just meeting it?

Its thought process, its very mode of being—nothing like a human's.

I picked up the World's gift.

Just a light touch to feel the texture, check it out.

But then.

The moment the fabric met my fingertips, it sprang to life like it had been waiting.

Smooth and silky, yet with unmistakable intent, it climbed up my arm.

The delicate weave glided along my skin.

Teasingly, it traced my shoulder line, wrapped my fingertips, flowed softly down my waist.

The touch was astonishingly warm and deft.

If this outfit were human, it'd evoke Casanova or a fox spirit.

Not rough, but brimming with clear desire.

It stroked my skin, sending little ticklish shivers that made me twitch.

Yet strangely, it wasn't unpleasant.

The sensation felt less like lust and more like pure yearning.

Like a kid writhing to pop a hard candy in their mouth—the World's gift just wanted to be worn by me.

Its desire was disarmingly honest.

So blatant you didn't even need to probe.

And so, the outfit slowly, perfectly enveloped my body.

The fabric cascading down my neckline caressed my arms, legs, waist, and chest, settling into its true form.

With the precision of a sculptor's chisel, without a single gap.

When all movement ceased, a perfectly tailored outfit hugged my frame like bespoke couture.

At the same time, something welled up from deep in my mind.

Like ripples disturbing a still lake, unfamiliar information gradually surfaced.

It wasn't forced in like a memory injection.

More like someone whispering gently right beside me, intimately natural.

Some words I hadn't even "heard," yet their meanings sank crystal-clear into my thoughts.

And the instant I fully grasped it...

"Whoa, awesome!"

The exclamation burst out instinctively.

That single phrase leaking from my lips made the World's gift quiver faintly.

As if it knew the praise was for it—and it looked pleased.

◇◇◇◆◇◇◇

"Whoa, awesome!"

Han Saetbit's exclamation rang out.

In that instant, even the air seemed to brighten.

The World gazed at the sight with fond delight.

Beside him, the Nameless Entity cautiously spoke up.

[The World... how did you obtain that divine relic?]

Its voice carried a perfect blend of awe and curiosity.

It stared at the outfit draped over Han Saetbit's body.

A white, translucent glow flowed between the threads, undulating like breath.

A normal garment would just be a clump of material.

But this was different.

Its mere presence subtly attuned the surrounding structure, bending physical laws with an eerie pressure.

The Nameless Entity dared to surmise.

This wasn't mere clothing.

Within it lay an entire world—no, the saga and myths of hundreds of thousands of years.

It could feel it.

Every delicate line tracing the fabric held traces of prayers and wars, destruction and creation amassed over eons.

'No being, no matter how great, obtains something like that easily.'

The Nameless Entity knew what the World was.

Even to its eyes, the World was nigh omnipotent.

Capable of bending the universe with a thought, birthing countless lives with a mere act of will.

Fitting for "the World."

But even so, crafting a relic of that caliber in short order was no simple task.

'Time must have been short.'

Of course, time meant nothing to the World.

It could stretch or rewind it at will.

But doing so would've been inefficient.

In truth, the Nameless Entity already knew the answer.

It just wanted to hear it straight from the World's mouth.

[Snatched it. They wouldn't give it even when I told 'em to.]

The World replied with a smile.

Its expression was innocently straightforward.

Like a child unaware of anything wrong.

[As expected.]

The Nameless Entity dipped its head lightly.

Just as it had presumed.

It closed its eyes and silently prayed for the departed's peace.

'To have something like that taken by the World... I can still picture that fool's end.'

When a being like the World demands "hand it over," refusal equals death.

Yet clinging to it till the end proved how precious it was.

And how dangerous.

A fleeting thought crossed its mind.

If such a relic appeared before me...

Could I stake my life on it too?

The fancy passed in a moment.

But it harbored no further greed.

For now, it belonged in Han Saetbit's hands.

And that felt strangely natural.

As if the garment had been fated for his embrace since the day it was born.

"Damn! This is insane!"

Han Saetbit shouted, slicing through the sky.

Brilliant wings of flame unfurled from his back like bursting fireworks.

Feathers of red and gold flashed, cleaving the air, and in an instant, the surroundings bathed in warm hues.

Watching him soar skyward with a face alight with awe and joy, the Nameless Entity simply smiled along with the World.

That smile needed no words, no reasons.

Just seeing Han Saetbit so elated melted away the World's worries, anxieties, and cares—like scattering to the wind.
