Chapter 96 - Chapter 96 Nen Ability Concept

After three days of training, Takeru had gained excellent control over his foundational Nen techniques. Combined with his already immense aura capacity from the start, he was now ready to begin conceptualizing his unique ability and had already made some headway.

Therefore, during these seven days, Takeru planned to initially develop this ability. Of course, besides ability development, he would also continue to improve himself.

"Sorry to keep you waiting. We have arrived at Zevil Island. Next, starting from the person with the shortest clear time in the third phase, please disembark one by one!" Upon reaching the destination, the guide announced with a smile.

"The disembarkation method is as follows: after the previous person disembarks, wait for a 2-minute interval before the next person goes!" The guide explained seriously.

"So it'll be a long time before it's our turn," Killua said boredly.

"The stay duration is one week. During this period, after collecting 6 points worth of number tags, please return to this location. Now, let the first person to clear the exam begin!"

Hearing the guide, Takeru walked straight into the island. After moving a short distance in, he stopped and waited on a tree for No. 89 to arrive.

Takeru naturally didn't plan to waste too much time on hide-and-seek. Instead, he would directly target No. 89, subdue him the moment he entered, collect the tag, and then find a good spot to train.

Upon arriving, Takeru also noticed many special presences hidden in the shadows.

Knowing the story, he understood these were the Hunter Exam's covert review personnel. Therefore, he paid them no mind.

Over on the boat, after Takeru's figure disappeared, the others realized something.

"I see. The ones who disembark first have an advantage!" Kurapika remarked.

"Yeah. They can hide in advance and secretly confirm the movements of their hunting target!" Leorio added.

Next was Umaru. After walking in a bit, she sensed Takeru was not far away and headed straight for his location.

Takeru's target was the 13th person to clear the tower. Sensing his target had disembarked, Takeru used Observation Haki to firmly lock onto him.

The target, No. 89, was very cautious. After nervously observing his surroundings, he quickly chose a direction and started running.

"Umaru, wait here for a bit. I'll be right back." Sensing his target's rapid movement, Takeru spoke softly to Umaru.

"Understood. I'll be careful of the surroundings." Hearing Takeru, Umaru realized his target must have landed and nodded.

Although she could currently only maintain a 20-meter Observation Haki range, it was sufficient for vigilance for her.

Coupled with her various special abilities, her combat power ranked in the middle among this group of Hunter candidates. Her base attributes were slightly low, and her practical experience couldn't match those who trained frequently. But in terms of overall combat capability, she wasn't weak...

So as long as she survived the first hurdle, and if her luck wasn't terrible and she remained calm, her chances of passing the trial were quite high.

Like in the other parallel world, Yukino and Ui, after passing the first phase's test, sailed smoothly through the later trials, mainly because Observation Haki was incredibly useful...

Especially in the Trick Tower phase. Both found single-person passages and used Observation Haki to detect and carefully avoid traps, completing the trial in just over ten hours.

During the draw, they weren't foolish either. They also used Observation Haki to find a weak character as their target and knew in advance who was hunting them, allowing them to be on constant guard.

Back to Takeru. After informing Umaru, he moved at extremely high speed, leaping through the trees. In less than a minute, he found No. 89.

Then, before his target could react, Takeru activated telekinesis. An invisible telekinetic force punched the target's head. Struck by the heavy blow, No. 89 fainted without any resistance, never knowing who his opponent was or what attacked him.

Takeru then used telekinesis to swiftly bring the target's number tag to his hand. Clutching the tag, he stored it in his item inventory. After a thought, he also removed the tag on his chest and stored it away.

After finishing this, Takeru leaped back through the trees, returning to Umaru. Soon, it was No. 362's turn to land.

Led by Takeru, Umaru quickly found him and similarly easily subdued this weakling. After taking his tag, Takeru and Umaru headed towards the other side of the forest.

To avoid trouble, Takeru planned to go directly to the far side of the island to train.

Although he might still be sought out later, few would likely bother going that far.

As they moved through the forest, Takeru soon selected a very nice spot. There was a pure river with fish, fruit trees, a nearby mountain, a small grassland, and small animals.

Takeru wasted no time. He threw several punches at the mountain face. Under his control, a cave quickly appeared in the mountain.

"Umaru, we'll be living here for the next seven days!" Takeru said with a smile, looking at their surroundings.

"Okay. I've caused you too much trouble on this journey." Hearing Takeru, Umaru said gratefully.

Hearing her, Takeru simply nodded and didn't say much more, instead returning to researching his Hatsu...

Takeru's current concept wasn't anything else, but something similar to a Nen Beast.

Due to his special Specialist-type affinity, he could utilize a Nen Beast's abilities to their fullest potential, as Nen Beasts primarily utilize Emission, Manipulation, and Conjuration. Transmutation can also be used, though it's less common for Nen Beasts.

A Nen Beast created by Takeru utilizing five categories at 100% efficiency would undoubtedly be extremely powerful. Most importantly, combined with Takeru's other abilities, he could create a very unique Nen Beast...

The main reason he thought of a Nen Beast was the increasing occurrence of special events in the real world. He wanted someone to protect Miu when he wasn't by her side...

While Takeru was still researching Nen Beast development, Gon was facing a dilemma.

Having personally experienced Hisoka's terrifying malicious Aura, Gon, who hadn't activated his Nen yet, felt like he was standing naked in extremely cold ice when faced with Hisoka's malicious Aura. That bone-chilling cold made Gon shiver just thinking about it.

Of course, despite being afraid, the straightforward, stubborn Enhancer Gon wouldn't easily admit defeat.

'What should I do? There's no way I can directly attack and steal his tag!' Just as Gon was worrying, he noticed a confrontation.

It was Pokkle hunting his target. Watching Pokkle approach his target almost without a trace, then strike, though the killing intent alerted the prey, he still managed to wound him, and then a paralysis arrow immobilized the opponent… Gon found inspiration...

Gon then began practicing swinging his fishing rod diligently. He planned to use it to 'fish away' the number tag from Hisoka's person...

However, after practicing, Gon realized how difficult this was. For stationary or predictably moving objects, he could hit them every time. But against freely flying birds, Gon had no chance...

Meanwhile, Leorio, after entering the forest, wandered alone, lost. So far, he didn't know who his target was or where they had gone.

'It's getting dark. Until dawn tomorrow, I shouldn't move recklessly,' Kurapika decided, looking at the sky.

As for Takeru, after several more hours of training, he was already able to summon a special Nen Beast...

However, the summoned creature was currently like a doll, unable to move and possessed no abilities. It could only become stronger as Takeru continuously added settings to it...

While Takeru busied himself, Umaru prepared dinner for him. The dinner was simple: fish, a Spider Eagle's egg, and a Noggin Lugging Tortoise's strawberry.

Although she had never grilled fish before, after a few attempts, Umaru quickly grasped the basics. While not particularly delicious, it was at an edible level. The Spider Eagle's egg was very simple… just boil it.
