Chapter 147 - Chapter 147: The Pirate Version of the Hunter Exam

A continuous gravitational force pressed down on the ball of lightning.

Enel's figure materialized on the surface of the lightning ball, only to be crushed back into a mass of electricity and merge with it again under the immense gravity.

Issho, gripping the hilt of his sword, continuously applied more gravity to the lightning ball.

Seeing this, Cyrus wasn't surprised.

When he had fought Issho before, the flames he conjured were also affected by gravity.

Boom!

Flames erupted from beneath the boat, and the vessel, which had landed, rose into the air once more.

Issho leaped from the ascending boat, continuously using his ability to suppress the lightning ball that was Enel.

"Mr. Issho is actually going to fight himself?"

Seeing Issho take the initiative to fight, Robin was a little curious.

Based on her understanding of Issho's personality during this time, it was more likely that he wouldn't take the initiative to attack.

"That's of course because of what Enel has done on Sky Island," Cyrus explained in response to Robin's words.

Although at this point in time, Enel hadn't completely taken control of Sky Island.

But this chuunibyou had already proclaimed himself a god and had implemented his high-pressure tactics.

His Observation Haki could see it, so Issho's Observation Haki could naturally see it too.

Cyrus, who understood Issho's principles, was not at all surprised that he would take action.

After all, the future Admiral Issho's back would bear the characters for "Benevolent Justice."

'In a sense, he was a good person with his own moral code,' Cyrus thought, stroking his chin.

"What do you think of Enel?"

Cyrus didn't dwell on Issho's matter and turned to ask Hawkeye, who was lying on the beach chair.

The boat slowly descended in the distance. He was watching Issho suppress Enel.

"His Devil Fruit Ability is very strong, and his development of it is impressive, but he has many flaws. It's likely related to his past. Also, he's not calm enough," Hawkeye said, then turned his eyes to Cyrus.

"Speaking of which, if you're the same, I'll be very disappointed."

Cyrus was taken aback for a moment, then shifted his gaze from Hawkeye to Issho's direction.

"We'll know when the time comes. If I win, I'll take that title of Greatest Swordsman. I happen to have a junior who's very interested in that title."

"If you are strong enough, of course you can," Hawkeye's tone didn't change, but a hint of anticipation flashed in his eyes.

"Hoh, he's about to use a big move. I wonder if Issho can handle it," Cyrus suddenly said.

As his words fell, the surrounding ground began to tremble.

The white stone-paved plaza developed cracks under the tremor, and within the cracks, electric light flickered.

Then, before their eyes, the entire plaza exploded.

As far as the eye could see, there was nothing but blinding arcs of electricity.

"Gravity Blade · Fierce Tiger!"

Issho's voice rang out from within the arcs of electricity, followed by a tremendous boom.

Enel, his body wreathed in lightning, was struck by the horizontal gravity and sent flying backward.

Issho, with a solemn expression, gripped his sword and watched Enel fly away, covered in electricity.

The backward-flying Enel's eyes rolled back, and he appeared to have fallen unconscious.

"Issho, he really doesn't hold back at all," Cyrus said, shaking his head slightly before standing up.

"What? You're going to step in? He can handle it alone," Hawkeye asked in a deep voice, seeing Cyrus stand up.

"I can't let Issho kill him," Cyrus replied, picking up his sword.

"The Rumble-Rumble Fruit is very precious; it can't be wasted just like that."

Of course, besides the Rumble-Rumble Fruit's ability, there was also Enel himself.

Based on his actions, he could be classified as a villain.

A chuunibyou youth.

If he could be subdued, he would be of great, great use.

Moreover, Cyrus had another plan.

It was an idea that had only come to him after arriving on Sky Island.

The Hunter Guild from his memories wasn't something one could just join.

One needed to participate in the Hunter Exam.

He hadn't thought that much about it at first.

According to his original idea, if someone wanted to join, they could join.

But after its establishment, there had to be some kind of threshold.

Otherwise, the prestige of the "Hunter" title would be too low.

And on Sky Island, that guy Enel would later create something called God's Trial.

It was because of this that Cyrus had an idea.

Perhaps in the future, he could create a Pirate version of the Hunter Exam on Sky Island.

If that were the case, then Enel, a native of Sky Island, would be a good candidate for a manager.

He could also serve as the final boss.

When the time came, he would beat Enel into submission and have him connect directly with Crocodile to see what they could come up with.

"Issho!" Cyrus called out.

The arcs of electricity subsided, and Issho's figure had already walked over to the unconscious Enel.

After hearing his voice, Issho turned to face him, fell silent for a moment, then sheathed his sword and walked back.

Cyrus leaped from the boat, passing by the returning Issho.

"A person like this..." Issho said in a low voice.

"The sea is full of people like this," Cyrus said, knowing what Issho wanted to say.

"Changing this world or eliminating one or two people, which one is your goal?" Cyrus said, stopping in his tracks.

"Then let me see what he will do in the future," Issho said, then continued walking toward the boat.

Cyrus, on the other hand, walked up to the unconscious Enel.

Arcs of electricity danced across his body. Cyrus could feel a terrifying power building up inside Enel.

After some thought, Cyrus propped his sword on the ground and then crouched down in front of Enel.

Enel wasn't unconscious for long.

Waking from his stupor, the scene from just before flashed through Enel's mind, and he abruptly looked up.

Then, he saw Cyrus crouching beside him.

"Discharge!"

Without the slightest hesitation, Enel attacked.

A dozen arcs of electricity shot straight through Cyrus's body.

Within the pierced body, flames were burning.

"Stop being a god on Sky Island. Come with me to the Blue Sea and see the wider world," Cyrus said with a smile.

"Thirty Million Volt · Thunder Bird!"

Enel's response was to strike his taiko drums.

Bang!

A fist coated in Armament Haki smashed into Enel's left cheek, sending him flying.

Flexing his wrist, Cyrus stood up and looked at the airborne Enel.

After skipping across the ground for a great distance, Enel transformed into a bolt of lightning, nullifying the force of Cyrus's punch and reforming his body amidst the electric sparks.

"Blue Sea dweller!"

Enel's eyes burned with fury as he stared at Cyrus.

"This is my Sky Island! Don't get too arrogant, you outsiders."

Enel roared, and a limitless torrent of electricity surged from his body.

Cyrus didn't make a move, simply watching as Enel prepared his ultimate attack.

This guy's physique was strange.

His lack of Armament Haki could be explained by his never having encountered it, so he never even thought to draw out his own Armament Haki.

But Enel's physical constitution was rather unimpressive compared to his Devil Fruit development.

Using abilities required stamina.

Perhaps it was due to the level of his fruit's development?
