"What did I do ?" The woman asked is a genuine confusing voice. She didn't even comment on how the Man ignored her remark. Not because she was merciful, but because she saw the raw Urgent expression on his face.
"Dungeons are not some man-made machines whose functions can deteriorate with Passing time." the man hissed, his eyes darting to the screen where The boy lay unconscious.
"They do not malfunction unless either a strong external entity tries to interfere with them or..." The man paused for a moment and looked at the woman who was still focused on the mirror, Barely paying him any attention, barely listening. He didn't mind. She has always been like this.
"...The Creator of all Dungeons interfere with them Herself."
The woman shifted her eyes toward him, though she didn't turn her head. The silence that followed was heavy enough to crush a mountain.
"There should not be any entity in the outer world, except us few, who are strong enough to interfere with dungeon mechanism and succeed. But even then. We will still fail if it's under your Provision. So... It was you, The Creator, The Architect, The Mother of all Dungeons."
She finally turned her entire body toward him, the 'air' beneath her body spinning like a swivel chair. Her expression was a chilling blank expression.
"First of all," she said, her voice dangerously low
"Do not call me by that Title. It's Annoying. I'm far too young to be called a Mother" She said with nonchalant expression.
'Too young? If You're Young, Then Doesn't that mean I and all the living gods are practically Babies? No! We're are still in In our Mother's Womb!' The man thought while looking at the woman with a dubious expression like looking at a Senile Old Hag.
"Your Ride thoughts are written all over you face, Boy" The woman said on a serious voice as she saw the Man's expression.
"S-sorry!" The Man's face stiffened.
She gave a long weary sigh "Sigh... And Yes, it was me. And What about it ?"
"What about it ? 'what about it' ?!" The man Retorted in a loud voice, Loosing his previous fear, finally losing his cool.
He threw his hands up, pointing at the screen. "He was near death! He could've died! The power difference made no sense! What were you thinking ?! Sending a baby who doesn't even have his Soul Panel, to fight a monster like that ?! Have you lost your sense of power scaling?!"
Veins seem to pop out on the woman's head.
"Boy" She said in a calm stern voice.
-BOOM!
A sudden surge of energy left the Woman's body. Suddenly the entire area seemed to get filled with an invisible pressure.
The agitated man suddenly shut up and took a step back unconsciously. the man was nearly thrown backward by the sudden, invisible wave of Power.
The man's mouth snapped shut, his breathing becoming shallow as the pressure of the Woman's gaze pinned him to the spot.
"There were ever four people who dared and were allowed to talk to me in such casual manner. Even the council dared not. And you're not one of them. Even if you're his son and their friend... You are not them. Do not cross the line."
The valiant crimson-haired man faltered. The fire in his eyes went out, replaced by the shivering realization of who was he standing against, "I-i am sorry. I lost my cool"
The woman leaned back, and the pressure vanished instantly, "huu... As long as you know."
The man eased up as The pressure Vanished.
She stretched, her long hair rippling like grass in a breeze. "Seriously... It has not even been a week since you woke up from your long slumber."
"What right do you, someone who has seen him for less than a week, to judge us, who have been observing him for years." The woman said with slight disdain in her voice.
"I am sorry" The man replied, ashamed of his previous behavior.
"Let me clear somethings first." The woman said, raising one Index Finger, leaning forward with a jolt as Two Large Organic masses trembled but The man didn't dare to look.
The man put his head down.
"..Yes" the man replied in a low voice like a student being scolded by his teacher.
"Do you really think that I would let him die ? Me ?"
"Sorry... I just lost control for a bit, after seeing him so close to death."
"This is why I don't like your race. You guys easily lose control of your emotions and tend to go overboard at the slightest provocation," she scoffed, her voice full of annoyance "..Whatever. if things had truly gone wrong, I would have allowed his teachers to interfere. I am just using the dungeons for the very reason they were created."
"...Making the mortals stronger.... I see. Sorry for the misunderstanding." The man mumbled and nodded in understanding, His head still bowed.
"..And also, you are wrong about another thing." the Woman added, in a bored tone
The Crimson Man raised his head, his brow furrowed in genuine bewilderment. "Wrong? About what?"
"He had already awakened his Soul Panel which is now commonly known as Stats Window, two years ago, immediately following his merger recovery," said the woman, her fingers tracing an idle pattern in the air.
"What ?! But how ?" The man's voice cracked with disbelief "He should have been only around six years old two years ago. Don't humans have an age restriction of Ten years ?"
The Woman turned her gaze toward him, her brown eyes conveying a look of such profound pity it was as if she were observing a particularly slow-witted stupid lizard.
"It seems like a millennium of slumber has affected your brain function a bit-No, a lot actually" she remarked. The expression of disdain she offered him was her n-th of the day, and arguably her most sincere up until that point in time.
"Huh?" The man tilted his head, the crimson of his hair flickering like a dying flame in his confusion.
"Why do you think the age restriction was imposed on Mortals in the first place, when we first created the Soul Panel ?"
"Of course, it's to protect them from-oh! I see..."
"Exactly. The age restriction of the soul panel does not apply to him. He does not need Protection." She said as she snapped her fingers.
-Snap!
A holographic window opened in front of the man.
"This is his Panel" she said, her interest in the man already evaporating as she turned her focus back to the primary screen before her.
