Lut Set crossed his arms. His eyes were on Te Ra, observing her. Te Ra just turned away. Lut Set continued staring.
"You can't get away from me like this. Just tell me—why did you even steal that novel in the first place?"
Te Ra refused to look at him. Lut Set didn't budge.
"Te Ra…."
She still didn't look.
"Te Ra…."
Her eye started twitching. Lut Set smirked.
"Te—"
Te Ra: "Oh, for God's sake!"
She finally looked at him.
"What?!"
Lut Set poked her forehead softly, saying each word one by one.
"Why... did... you... steal... the... novel... book?"
He poked her with every word. Te Ra swatted his hand away.
"Okay! OK! I get it! Stop this nonsense already!"
Lut Set flicked her forehead. "You're the one who started the nonsense."
Pissed off, Te Ra grabbed his hand and bit his fingers. Lut Set jumped back in shock.
"Wait... wait! Ouch!"
After a few seconds, Lut Set was using a blue liquid to heal the bite marks on his fingers. Te Ra sat enjoying the sight.
"Now you know—I'm not someone to be messed with."
Lut Set looked at the marks.
"Why are they so tiny?"
Te Ra glared at him.
"What, you little...! You want another bite or something—?"
Lut Set cut her off.
"I wouldn't dare, okay?"
Te Ra calmed herself down. "What's wrong with you?"
Lut Set looked at her. "What's wrong with me?"
He handed her the bottle of blue liquid. "You're the one who caused this. Do you even realize what you've done?"
Te Ra looked away, taking the bottle and tucking it away. "It's not like the book is in my hands now anyway."
Lut Set sighed. "That's the problem. You worked so hard, but in the end, you got nothing."
Te Ra looked at him. "No... I got something."
Lut Set crossed his arms. "What stuff?"
Te Ra: "Experience."
Lut Set didn't look convinced.
"Experience? Really?"
Te Ra got annoyed. "Ugh! Then forget it!"
She turned around.
"After all, you're just dumb."
Lut Set pointed at her with his left hand.
"Coming from the person who just turns around because she can't face me?"
Te Ra looked back.
"What? No! It's just... you think I'm just like them."
Lut Set held up one finger.
"One point for Te Ra, Second Triangle."
Te Ra shouted,
"Are you even listening to me?!"
Lut Set yawned. "Listening to you?"
He stopped crossing his arms.
"You're the one who didn't listen to me in the first place."
Te Ra was taken aback by his words.
"It's just unfair... you're asking me the hard questions."
Lut Set touched his forehead and shook his head.
"How is asking why you went to the 'T' place to steal a novel a hard question?"
Te Ra crossed her arms and looked away.
"You don't know. You don't have to know."
Lut Set: "Tell me why not."
Te Ra: "I didn't even ask you to be here right now."
Lut Set crossed his arms again.
"Oh... so helping you against those bastards was a fucking mistake?"
Te Ra uncrossed her arms.
"Hey, I didn't ask for that! You just appeared from nowhere and started fighting De Ra Goe. I didn't ask you to do that!"
Lut Set stood his ground.
"If you're so upset about it, why did you let them catch you? Why did you run?"
Te Ra:
"Tch. Run? You're the one who ran, Lut Set."
Lut Set's expression turned serious.
"Pardon me?"
Te Ra stepped forward.
"You're selfish and only do things for yourself. All you know how to do is insult people. You don't even try to admit, 'Oh, they have their own reasons, I should stay back.'"
Lut Set looked confused.
"What has gotten into you?"
Te Ra sighed and looked away.
"Nothing... forget it. It's none of your business."
Lut Set tried to catch her eye.
"Are you having a bad day?"
Te Ra: "It's not like that. It's just... something else."
Lut Set sighed. "Why won't you tell me?"
She looked at him. "Just... not yet."
Lut Set stared at her for a long moment. Te Ra looked away.
"Don't worry. I'll take care of myself."
Lut Set stopped staring.
"Then I guess I should go."
He started walking away. Te Ra was shocked.
"Wait—what?!"
Lut Set: "Didn't you hear me? Do I need to say it twice?"
She grabbed his shirt. Lut Set looked at her, surprised.
"What are you doing?"
She struggled to find the words.
"It's... it's just—" She looked up at him.
"How about we go kick some kids' asses?"
Lut Set: "God... that's a very dark way of saying 'I just want you to stay here.'"
Te Ra shouted, but not too loud.
"Hey, it's hard to say, okay?!"
Lut Set's mouth opened slightly, then he smirked.
Te Ra: "Why are you smiling, you idiot?!"
Lut Set scratched under his eye.
"I just thought... of course it would be hard. Especially for someone like you."
Te Ra started hitting him again and again.
"What do you mean, 'someone like me'? You jerk!"
Lut Set laughed softly, blocking her hits.
The day moved on like that.
