At that critical moment, a golden figure flashed through the sky, arriving in front of Kaido's massive snout before he could unleash his devastating attack.
"Young Master!" King shouted, realizing it was Yamato. He was stunned that she had managed to catch up so quickly. However, King's relief turned to shock as he noticed Yamato had already raised her spiked club high, her muscles tensed and ready to strike.
"You idiot old man! Why don't you take a look at what you're actually doing? Get down there and sober up!" Yamato roared. She swung her club with terrifying force, her voice echoing across the coast.
Threads of red and black lightning erupted from the weapon, coiling around the iron spikes as the club smashed heavily into Kaido's face. The impact was thunderous. The Heat Breath that Kaido had been gathering in his gullet instantly fizzled out, and his massive dragon form was sent plummeting toward the earth like a fallen meteorite.
Boom!
The ground exploded upon impact as Kaido performed a perfect, involuntary headfirst dive into the dirt. Everyone—from the elite members of the Beasts Pirates to the trembling inhabitants of the island—stood frozen in absolute silence.
"That hurts! Which bastard dares to hit me?" The sharp pain jolted Kaido awake instantly, his drunken haze vanishing in a heartbeat.
That blow from Yamato hadn't been a simple physical strike; it had been infused with Ryuo and a potent trace of Conqueror's Haki Coating. Even for a man as durable as Kaido, a direct hit from a wisp of Conqueror's Haki was enough to make him feel genuine pain.
"Of course it was me, you idiot old man! Do you want me to give you another one to help you remember?" Yamato stood over the crater, waving her spiked club casually as she spoke.
Kaido climbed out of the hole, now fully awake and stone-cold sober. Realizing it was his "good eldest son" who had just smacked him across the face, a vein throbbed in his forehead. Fury welled up within him like a volcano. "Yamato, you stinky brat! What the hell do you think you're doing to your own father?"
"Isn't it obvious? Why are you even asking? Is there something wrong with your brain? Did I break it when I hit you?" Yamato scoffed, completely unimpressed by his legendary temper.
"Damn you, stinky brat! How dare you speak to me like that! You actually had the nerve to swing that club at your old man's face! Where is your upbringing?" Kaido roared, immediately reverting to his human form.
He was utterly enraged, but deep down, he was reeling. That was Conqueror's Haki Coating! This brat had actually mastered the most advanced application of Haki. And what made it worse was that she had used it so unceremoniously to deck him. What kind of child uses Conqueror's Haki Coating on their own father? Apparently, the kind of child he had raised.
"Sorry, but since I was born without ever seeing my mother, it's only normal for me to have no upbringing," Yamato snorted, firing the insult back directly without a hint of hesitation.
"Pfft..." Several subordinates nearby had to cover their mouths, unable to hold back their laughter at Yamato's bluntness.
Even King and Queen were shocked, never expecting Yamato to go that far with her words. "Young Master, you can't just say things like that! Look at the Governor—his face has turned as black as the bottom of a burnt pot!" Queen whispered frantically.
"Lord Kaido is probably going to be truly angry now," Maria added, she and Haruko could both feel Kaido's killing intent skyrocketing.
"Yamato, you stinky brat! Today, I'm going to teach you a proper lesson!" Kaido raised his own spiked club, purple lightning crackling violently around it as he charged toward her.
"Bring it on! Let's see how you plan to teach me anything, you idiot old man!" Yamato matched his energy, raising her club and meeting his charge head-on.
Boom!
A titanic battle between father and daughter erupted without any further warning. Red and black lightning swept out in all directions like a storm, stretching high into the clouds and splitting the sky. In an instant, the entire island was enveloped by the clashing Conqueror's Haki of Yamato and Kaido.
Countless residents on the island rolled their eyes back and collapsed into unconsciousness from the sheer pressure. Even on the Beasts Pirates' ships anchored near the shore, many of the weaker crewmen fainted where they stood.
"Oh no, they're really going at it!" Cold sweat broke out on the foreheads of King and Queen. This level of Haki indicated that Kaido was getting serious, which was dangerous for everyone involved.
Even more alarming was the fact that Yamato's Haki was not weak in the slightest; she was contending head-on with a serious Kaido. The power emanating from their clash was so intense it made even veteran fighters like the All-Stars feel their scalps tingling.
Boom!
Terrifying shockwaves from the battle erupted, causing the coastline to crack and the sea to churn violently, sending towering walls of water skyward.
"Thunder Bagua!"
Both Yamato and Kaido roared the technique simultaneously, transforming into streaks of lightning as they lunged at one another. Their two spiked clubs collided mid-air, but they didn't touch. Instead, a massive sphere of red and black lightning spread out like jagged fissures in the air between them.
The very heavens and earth seemed to change color. The entire island trembled under the weight of the 3,000,000,000 Berry-level power, the sea became a turbulent mess, and the pirate ships rocked uncontrollably in the wake of the collision.
"What is that? Why aren't their weapons actually touching?" Jack watched the pair battling fiercely, his eyes wide as if he were seeing a miracle. The wave of Haki radiating from them raised goosebumps all over his body; every cell in his being was screaming at him to run.
"Yamato, you stinky brat, you really know how to hide your talent. Don't tell me you're already trying to surpass your old man?" Kaido stared sharply at Yamato, his eyes glinting with a mix of rage and pride.
If Yamato hadn't hit him in the face, he might not have realized she had mastered the coating technique so thoroughly. Those capable of using Conqueror's Haki Coating were invariably among the top-tier powerhouses of the world, each possessing the qualities of a Sea Emperor. To think his own child had reached such a realm already was both shocking and delightful. Kaido knew that at Yamato's age, he had still been a rookie on Rocks' ship. This meant Yamato had already surpassed his own growth rate.
"So what if I am? So what if I'm not? Idiot old man, are you actually scared of me?" Yamato's golden eyes gleamed with an intimidating light as she stared him down.
"Ororororo! If you think you can do it, then show me everything you've got, Yamato!" Kaido burst into a booming laugh.
"Well then, sorry, you idiot old man, but I refuse," Yamato retorted bluntly. She knew that if she continued to fight him at this intensity, the island would be destroyed and thousands of innocents would die.
"What did you say?" Kaido's eyes widened in frustration.
"Are you deaf? Or are you just getting senile? I said, I refuse to keep playing this game," Yamato responded.
Kaido gritted his teeth. "Stinky brat, if you dare speak to your old man like that again, I'll beat you to death!" He couldn't understand why his child always used words as sharp as knives, and why they were always aimed directly at him.
"Fly away! Azure Gale Bagua!" Yamato didn't waste any more breath. A fierce gale gathered around her club, and a cyan-colored divine dragon made of wind coiled upward before lunging to bite Kaido.
The wind dragon clamped onto Kaido, lifting his heavy frame and soaring high into the sky.
Boom!
The gale dragon exploded in the upper atmosphere. Kaido once again transformed into his Azure Dragon Form to stabilize himself, looking down at Yamato from the clouds. "Yamato, you little brat!"
"Idiot old man, are you going through menopause? Don't you remember we're supposed to be on an expedition right now?" Yamato rolled her eyes, resting her club back on her shoulder.
