Chapter 240 - The Isekai Arc ( FILLER)

The Statistical Defense

For a long, heavy moment, the crater was dead silent. The young warrior stood panting, his chest heaving after delivering the passionate, emotionally devastating anime-protagonist speech of a lifetime.

Kniya slowly popped a fresh bubble with his mint gum. It snapped loudly in the quiet air.

"Oh my god," Kniya groaned, rolling his eyes so hard it looked painful. "I think the dialogue is getting incredibly boring right now. I really don't want to sit through a generic, self-righteous hero speech today."

The Hero completely froze, his righteous momentum hitting a solid brick wall of corporate apathy. "What...?"

"Well, first of all, you are totally wrong about our business model," Kniya stated dismissively, casually picking at a piece of lint on his suit jacket. "But putting your terrible economic analysis aside... you are standing here screaming that we are the bad guys for killing people. So let me ask you a very simple question."

Kniya leaned forward, a dark, mocking smirk spreading across his face.

"If we are the ones killing people... exactly how many people have you saved?"

The Hero's jaw clenched. The mocking, condescending tone of the question hit him hard. He narrowed his eyes, gripping his sword, but he absolutely refused to answer the degrading question directly. He remained entirely silent, glaring at the Managing Director.

Seeing their leader being openly disrespected, the Hero's party couldn't hold back anymore.

"He has saved humanity from the terrifying monsters of the dark!" the heavy knight bellowed, stepping forward in absolute solidarity with his master.

"He has saved countless villagers!" the elven archer added passionately, her tears drying as she defended the young warrior. "He liberated entire towns and saved innocent people's lives from the brink of destruction! He is a true savior! He is nothing like you!"

Kniya tilted his head, staring at the elf and the knight with absolute, unfiltered amusement.

"Humanity?" Kniya snorted, bursting into a loud, mocking laugh. "Are you fucking kidding me? There is a massive question mark on that statement! By just saving a couple of random peasants from a goblin camp, you think you are saving the entire fucking humanity?!"

"He saved far more than a couple of people!" the heavy knight roared defensively, his armor clattering as he pointed a heavy iron gauntlet at Kniya. "You are just framing his noble deeds in the wrong place! You are twisting his heroism!"

The Economics of Heroism

Kniya tilted his head, staring at the weeping elf and the heavy knight with absolute, unfiltered amusement. The chaotic energy bubbling under his skin completely boiled over.

"Humanity?" Kniya snorted, bursting into a loud, incredibly obnoxious, and mocking laugh that echoed harshly across the radioactive glass. "Are you fucking kidding me? By slaughtering a couple of low-level goblins and saving a few random dirt-farming peasants, you actually think you are saving the entire fucking concept of humanity? You speak way too fucking much, and your little armored fan club speaks way too fucking much."

Kniya's laughter suddenly died, his face snapping into a cold, terrifyingly sharp glare. He aggressively closed the distance, stepping right up into the young warrior's personal space.

"Let me tell you the absolute, undeniable fucking truth about your 'noble deeds'," Kniya snarled, his voice dropping all of its chaotic melodrama and replacing it with lethal, venomous precision. "You are just a hypocrite executing freelance fucking contracts. You aren't saving them out of the pure, untainted goodness of your heart. You were picking up bounties from a guild board, completing your little ass side-quests, and cashing out for the fucking money. There is absolutely nothing else to it!"

The Hero's jaw tightened, his eyes flashing with desperate indignation. "That is a lie! I fight for justice!"

"Don't try to make a fucking fool out of me!" Kniya roared back, aggressively jabbing a sharp finger directly into the Hero's armored chest. "I understand the core fundamentals of capitalism infinitely better than your shiny ass ever will! Everything in this world—and your last world—runs on a transactional currency! You take a mission, you kill the target, you fill your little leather pouch with gold coins, and then you apply for the next fucking gig! You are just a glorified, heavily armored mercenary! You are doing the exact same shit we do, but you hide behind a flowing cape so you can claim the fucking title of 'Hero'!"

The young warrior flinched violently. The words struck him like physical blows, bypassing his enchanted armor and piercing directly into his soul. His grip on the broadsword wavered for a fraction of a second. Deep down, he knew the Adventurer's Guild operated on a strict financial structure, but hearing his righteous crusade reduced to a "freelance gig-economy" felt sickeningly, paralyzingly accurate.

The Cost of Screen Time

"And let's talk about this fucking Demon Lord," Kniya continued, pacing back and forth across the crater like a caged predator, his hands gesturing wildly. "We killed him. Today. Instantly. And do you want to know exactly why we did that? Because we actually wanted to save humanity from this fucking monster!"

Kniya stopped dead in his tracks, locking his manic, wide eyes onto the young warrior.

"That entity sitting in this forest was strong enough to wipe out entire fucking kingdoms," Kniya declared, his voice dripping with pure corporate disgust. "But you couldn't just kill him directly, could you? No, you wanted to play the long game! You wanted to meticulously plan your route! You wanted to gather your diverse little party, grind your experience points, and have your glorious fucking screen time! You wanted to slowly build your public image and character arc before finally facing the ultimate boss!"

The Hero opened his mouth to argue, his breath hitching, but the sheer, suffocating velocity of Kniya's verbal assault completely silenced him.

"Do you have any idea what your traditional, drawn-out hero's journey actually fucking costs?!" Kniya screamed, the veins in his neck bulging. "Your grand, epic war against him would have taken years! And while you were out there building your glorious reputation, thousands of innocent people would be getting brutally slaughtered by his armies! Your heroic war would have resulted in catastrophic, unimaginable collateral damage! And for what?! What is the actual fucking motive of killing the Demon Lord if half the continent is already dead by the time you finally stick that glowing sword in his chest?!"

The young warrior's eyes widened in sheer horror. He took a shaky step backward, completely paralyzed. The horrifying, twisted logic of the Managing Director was actively dismantling the very foundation of his worldview.

"We did it in a single day because of one fucking reason!" Kniya yelled, pointing down at the sterilized, glowing glass. "We didn't want any more people to be brutally tortured and killed by his cruelty! If you fought him, you would have sacrificed tens of thousands of lives just to ensure you were standing on a pile of rubble when the crowds finally cheered your name! You are doing this just to be praised! You just want the fucking credit!"

Kniya scoffed, aggressively popping his mint gum as he looked at the trembling Hero with pure, unadulterated disgust.

"We eradicated that monster early because we had the absolute capacity to do it. But we will never be called heroes," Kniya stated, a dark, deeply cynical smirk twisting his lips. "We will always be branded as the absolute villains of this world. But we saved humanity from a massive, prolonged war, and it cost infinitely fewer sacrifices than your 'righteous crusade' ever would have. We chose efficiency over your fucking glory."

Kniya leaned in dangerously close, delivering the final, soul-crushing blow.

"I am speaking the absolute truth, and you know it. We decided to save the world without engaging in a huge fucking war, and you are just jealous. You are blaming us as the culprits for this crime because we stole your branding. You didn't get the final kill credit. You just wanted to show yourself off as the ultimate savior, and we ruined your PR campaign. That is your actual reality, you hypocrite."

The Infrastructure of Villains

The young warrior stood entirely speechless, his chest heaving aggressively as he struggled to pull air into his lungs. Kniya's words had completely hollowed him out, leaving him drowning in a suffocating, paralyzing wave of self-doubt.

Before the Hero could even attempt to formulate a desperate counter-argument, Malesh stepped forward. He smoothly adjusted the cuffs of his crisp white shirt, completely unbothered by the heavy emotional tension in the air.

"You stood there a minute ago and claimed that we cursed this world," Malesh said. His voice was entirely devoid of Kniya's chaotic yelling, replacing it with a cold, heavy, and undeniably stubborn authority. "You called us fucking parasites. But do you actually know what the hell we have done with our corporate monopoly?"

Malesh stared the Hero dead in the eyes, his arrogant posture backed by absolute, irrefutable facts.

"We completely erased slavery from the continent we rule," Malesh stated firmly, his tone completely blunt. "It was a barbaric, highly inefficient labor model, and we eradicated it overnight. A feat your shiny fucking sword couldn't accomplish. We developed a functioning, stable government. We took starving, desperate peasants and gave them secure, paying jobs. We provided them with an actual lifeline."

Malesh gestured dismissively toward the distant, smog-covered horizon.

"We didn't just build factories to pollute the sky," Malesh continued relentlessly, tearing the Hero's moral high ground to shreds. "We provided them with all the foundational facilities a true civilization needs to survive. We built centralized educational grids—schools and colleges for children who were previously destined to die in the fucking mud. We built advanced medical facilities—the fucking hospitals they desperately need to actually survive diseases that your useless magic couldn't cure."

Malesh crossed his arms, looking down at the legendary Hero with sheer, unfiltered executive disappointment.

"You swing a piece of enchanted metal and call it salvation. We built an actual, functioning society," Malesh finalized, his voice dripping with pure corporate disdain. "You cannot do what we do. You are just blaming us for the pollution because you are desperate to find a flaw in our system, purely because you wanted the credit for saving this world. Grow the fuck up."
