The elders finished counting before the delegation left Forest Hidden. They had returned to the second housing area for one last look when Rangar caught up with them, accompanied by one of the elders.
The long wooden structure sat between two enormous roots. Mireva had already rejected the first building because one of the academy's active training paths passed too close to its entrance. For adults, the distance might have been acceptable. For families with young children, she had not even needed time to think about it.
She had not rejected this one, but that did not mean she liked everything about it.
The route-keeper stood near the rear wall, studying the space between the building and the massive root behind it.
"We could establish physical markers here without touching the academy path."
Rangar followed his gaze. "Markers for your own doors and meeting points are fine. Anything that redirects academy traffic needs approval."
"We do not need to redirect anyone."
