Juren leaped at Imaez. Juren equipped a metal contraption to his hands with daggers attached to each individual knuckle of his hands. Imaez took out his sword, infused it with a bit of his Soul Pact energy.
Juren barraged Imaez with attacks, never faltering and relentless.
Imaez grunted and thought— *This guy's metal device is amplified after hit..! The first few hits weren't damaging to my sword at all.. but now they have some real force to my blade.* He dashed back. "More…" he whispered.
His sword's infusion was more visible, he added more of this lightless and endless energy around his sword. It felt, void.
Juren used the few seconds that he seen the amplification to make an assessment. "I see. Your Soul Pact ability is Void. Quite the dangerous one, and very rare. You indeed are special, Reaper… I could get a bonus off you! KEKEKE!"
Imaez had a neutral expression. He dashed towards Juren and the two kept clashing their metals.
Lloyd had viewed the scene from a rooftop, he hadn't decided to make a move yet.
*Imaez seems like he could handle this guy, but that guy, he did have that 'KEKEKE' laugh.. so it's Juren for sure.* Lloyd thought to himself.
Imaez rotated his body, preparing for a slash directly at Juren's neck. Juren anticipated it, making his neck purposely exposed. Using his agile and quick movements, he went to attack Imaez's back which was wide open.
PWUUUUSH!
A powerful gale force struck Juren's achilles, forcing him to disengage momentarily.
Marie dropped down from a building.
"Your Soul Pact, it's amplification. Every hit you make on an opponent amplifies your weapon by a certain amount. It's interesting though, I don't know how that links to your soul." She spoke.
Imaez added — " It reflects his soul. He wants to amplify himself — money, power, importance. It's not real confidence. It's compensation. Which makes amplification, a False Soul Pact…"
