Sora's breath came out short and uneven, panic tightening around his chest. A hand suddenly covered his mouth from behind, firm and warm, stopping any sound from escaping. His heart nearly stopped.
Slowly, trembling, he turned his head. The person behind him made his heart skip. It was Ren Oliver.
Before Sora could speak, Ren leaned closer, voice barely above a whisper. "Shh. Don't move or talk… or she'll find us."
Sora nodded weakly. His thoughts were a mess everything he had just heard, his mother, the money, Liam, the poison, crashed together in his head until he could barely breathe. Black spots danced before his eyes.
"Hey… are you alright?" Ren asked quietly, but Sora couldn't answer. The world tilted. Everything went dark. He collapsed straight into Ren's arms.
"A panic attack… seriously?" Ren muttered, catching him before he hit the ground.
