In Gan's Room
Liam lay helpless on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. His mind felt heavier than his body. Everything in his life had fallen apart so quickly he could barely keep up.
His voice was gone.
A slow poison flowed through his veins.
And now… Gan had taken what little dignity he had left.
Liam squeezed his eyes shut, trying to block out the memories, but they came anyway—relentless and cruel.
Then his thoughts drifted to something even worse.
The children.
He remembered the way Red had treated them—locking them away, leaving them to starve for weeks. Some of them had grown too weak to even cry. Some of them hadn't survived at all.
And the most horrifying truth?
Red had poisoned them too. The same slow poison burning through Liam's body now was inside those innocent children.
A shaky breath escaped his lips. He felt powerless—unable to speak, unable to fight, unable to protect anyone.
How did everything become like this?
