Alexandria stood there for a moment, the alley now completely silent. The earlier chaos had vanished, leaving only the faint echo of the gunshots in the cold night air.
She calmly wiped her hands on her jacket and slipped the gun back into her pocket as if nothing unusual had happened.
"Hmph… what a waste of time," she muttered under her breath.
As she stepped out of the alley and back onto the street, the streetlights flickered above her. Her expression returned to its usual bored look, but deep inside, that old, dangerous side of her had awakened again.
So annoying… she thought as she walked. I just wanted to go home.
Her footsteps echoed softly along the empty road as she continued toward the house, completely unaware that tonight's events might bring even more trouble later.
