The morning sun shone down, the day was bright as usual "Hey, Mori....", Runo called her friends name while eating a beef roll "Yeah? What is it?", Mori replied. Runo explained "Have you ever wondered why other nations and cities don't call the city [Kagahara] anymore? I mean back when we were kids in the academy, we were thought that the name of the city was Kagahara, but no one refers to it that way as usual.". Mori took his time to think while looking down at the city "Well that's because Kagahara's gotten popular to the point that people don't refer it by it's name anymore. When someone makes mention of [The city], everyone would know the one they're talking about.", Runo looked confused for a moment "Hm? That's lazy.", she crossed her legs "Looks like people didn't like thag fact that an independent city was too good.". Mori scoffed "Hm. Maybe, but at least it shows how strong the city is and how much trials and tribulations we've been through over time just to get this far.", Runo replied "I know, I've read history books.". Runo looked at him and asked "Hey, Mori. Aside from the fact that you're from a high ranking sword clan, your parents are also high ranking solidiers too. Right?", Mori responded "Yeah, that's true. In fact, that's the reason why I'm allowed to be a soldiers of Kagahara. Aside from the fact that we're related to the [Noble Lords], which is why we're even allies with the city in the first place, my parents once served as soldiers and assassins who helped on missions and wars back then. Only time I see them walk out is if they have an outing or something.", Mori twisted his neck "Makes sense.", he got up and jumped from the building "Nothing's going on here. Let's move.", Runo followed suit and jumped off along with him."Sure.". Meanwhile, at his lab, Deo was was fixing a blaster. After fixing all the necessary screws and rewiring everything, he took a sigh of relief as he sat "WHOOO! That was tiring. Constantly trying to make devices of my own while taking orders from the science department is such a pain.", he roled his chair "Well, at least I'm done for the day. I don't have to worry about Nova today, and Runo and Mori are on a patrol mission. Meaning I have the entirety of today for myself.", Deo smirked smugly. He grabbed a near by laptop and activated it "Now that I'm free, I can focus on the project Veronica asked me to make.". While Deo was working on his laptop, his mind started to glitch "GAH!", he groaned, vague memories of him fighting Raiga played in his head. Not just that, he also remembered how he absorbed hundreds stars from Kazuki's dimension just to use it to kill Raiga. Deo scoffed "Thm! It's only been a few months since the dragon incident. Most of the world has forgotten about it. Some people say they had a wierd dream of fighting dragons, some don't even remembered they fought dragons.", Deo placed his hand on his head and leaned forward "I don't know what happened that made everything seem like they didn't happen. Maybe....", Deo remembered how Diablo erased Ukina from existence during the war against the [Dark Sign] "Maybe he did something.". Deo took a deep breath out before working on his laptop "Doesn't matter, cant bother myself on something that I can't wrap my head around.", he touched his eye patch and instantly remembered how Raiga stabbed him through the eye during their fight. Deo kept working on his laptop as he pressed all sorts of codes "If I had my way, I'd just kill him again.". Back at the lords office, Veronica was reading a book, the book contained a lot of techniques, magic circles and abilities "Hm, so that's how the formula works. Didn't think it used that method.", she drew a magic circle on a piece of paper with all the symbols required. Veronica smiled after drawing her cirlcle "Hmhm. Looks like I've just found another way to recreate a technique.", she rested her back on her seat "After the battle against Ukina a few years ago, I decided to put some effort into learning new techniques and creating my own techniques rather than just mere training.". She continued her monologue "My ability is one that allows me to summon as many shikigami as i want. The stronger I get, the stronger they get. The only problem for me at that time was that my monsters tended to be a rank weaker than I was. But since I could summon thousands of them at once in a fight, it wasn't so hard.". Veronica remembered Kazuma giving her a thumbs up while smiling at her "You work hard a lot Veronica, really. You should learn to take a break.", Veronica smiled "Hm. Kazuma sensei, you are one of the reasons why im as strong as i am today. Always encouragingme when you could.", she looked at her palm "Back then, my body was fond of being stiff. I found it difficult to depend on combat, so I used my shikigami's to feel in that weakness. Although, he ended up referring me to one of his friends who was from the same clan as he was.". Veronica remembered herself at the age of 13 when Kazuma introduced her to a friend "Alright, Veronica. This is my friend, she's very skilled and fluent in combat. Make sure to learn from her, got it?". The lady Kazuma introduced Veronica too, asked "So this is your special student, huh.", Kazuma laughed nervously "Aaha! Yeah. She can be a handful, but she's very good. Veronica here is having problems with flexibility, so knowing you are the only person in Kagahara who's extremely good at that, I thought I might refer you to her as your students for now.". He smiled softly "So what do you say, Regina? Wanna do it?", Regina Starfall (22 years old at the time. Long purple hair. Wearing a purple jumper dress) replied "Sure, I'll do it. She's your student after all, i don't see why not.".
