Chapter 4 - Big battle

" no they haven't. We're going to keep you safe and help fight them off right guys?"

*Beast Boy: I agree we should help her after all it is what he was due

*Cyborg steps forward.* "She's telling the truth when she was speaking, her vocal cords and heart rate didn't change, which means she's Telling truth."

"And what about you, Raven?"

Raven floats silently beside Max, her violet eyes studying Starfire with careful scrutiny. After a moment, she nods slowly. "Her energy signature doesn't carry the same malicious intent as the aliens outside. And the Gordanians... they're slavers. We don't negotiate with slavers." She crosses her arms. "I'm in."

Before we talk, any further, a hole was blasted into the building *The Gordanian soldier's voice echoes through the ruined building, harsh and metallic.* "Princess Koriand'r, we have located you. Surrender now, and we will spare this primitive planet. Resist, and we will destroy it along with you."

I cracked my knuckles as the others prepared for a fight.

" let's get them." He said charging at them they blasted lasers at them. He was infinity covering the team as it stopped the lasers shocking them before Max With a small gesture of his fingers sent the lasers back at the soldiers piercing through their heads and stomachs.

*The Gordanian soldiers were taken by surprise. Max's sudden and brutal attack left them stunned and dying. The laser blasts ceased as the remaining soldiers dropped their weapons, screaming in pain and shock. The Titans watched in awe as Max single-handedly decimated the enemy force with frightening precision and strength.*

come on guys don't let me have all the fun." He said, jumping into a crowd of soldiers using black flash to fight as the others snapped out of their Daze and started fighting with him

**The Titans surged forward. Raven's dark energy erupted, lifting soldiers off the ground in dark spheres while Starfire unleashed blinding starbolts with renewed vigor. Cyborg's sonic cannon ripped through metal armor, and Beast Boy shifted into a T-Rex, toppling Gordanian vehicles with a single swipe.*

*Max moved like a shadow, his black flash striking collapsing, skulls, and breaking bones teleporting between targets.*

The battle continued for I feel like hours, but it was actually only 10 minutes. One soldier had managed to get the drop on Starfire hitting her with a laserbeam her to the ground. Before that soldier can react. I was behind him, punching him in the face with a black flash , sitting his body crashing into a building as I went down and helped Starfire up. " you OK?"

*Starfire groaned, clutching her side where the laser had struck. Smoke rose from a scorched mark on her armor. She looked up at Max, her emerald eyes wide with surprise and gratitude as he helped her to her feet.*

"I... am functioning." *She winced, testing her injured side.* "That was... most unexpected. You move faster than I can see."

"Thanks for the compliment. You're pretty fast yourself." he says smirking.

*She smiles, genuine warmth breaking through her warrior's facade. "On Tamaran, I was considered quite swift. But you... you transcend speed. It is as if you exist between moments." She touches his arm briefly, her gratitude clear.* "I am in your debt, Max."

*The remaining Gordanians are being mopped up by the Titans.*

"Well, you can pay me back by hoping to get rid of these guys." He said, cracking his knuckles, ready to jump back into the fight

*Starfire nods, her expression turning back to determination as she sees the remaining soldiers. She raises her hand, starbolts cracking around her fingers. "You can count on me." She launches herself forward, blasting the first soldier she sees with a concentrated burst of stellar energy, incinerating him instantly.*

beside her, I joined in finding using my divine flame, lowest output, not to destroy the city Until eventually, we force the remaining soldiers to Retreat.

*The Gordanians scramble back to their ships, weapons lowered, armor smoking from the relentless assault. Several drag wounded comrades as they retreat. Their commander barks harsh orders in an alien tongue, and the vessels begin powering up their engines.*

*Cyborg trains his sonic cannon on them, watching them go.* "Yeah, that's right! Run back to whatever rock you crawled out from!"

I don't think this is over their leader said if they didn't they would destroy the city and they might actually do it." A few seconds later, Max was proving right

" You fool, you dare to fight us for this insubordination we will destroy your city." he said at the ship, opened his hole as a massive gun came out of it and started charging a beam the gun 20 lights on the side, but only one was active.

*The massive weapon on the lead Gordanian ship hums to life, a single light glowing on its side as it begins charging a beam that could level the entire city. The other lights remain dark, suggesting the weapon has multiple power levels.*

*Cyborg's scanners go wild.* "That's a planetary siege cannon! One shot at full power would reduce the entire downtown area into ashes!"

" I think we have to might have to calm down a little bit if that weapon could destroy this entire city who would've already fired it, which means it needs time to charge."

*Raven's eyes glow with concentration as she scans the weapon.* "Max is right. Those are power cells, but they're not all active. We have approximately twenty minutes before the cannon reaches full charge." *She pauses, her expression grave.* "But what can we do?"

"Starfire, do you know anything about that weapon that might help us?" he says he knows he could use dismantle on it, but he didn't want the ship too badly destroyed. He wanted to study it's technology.

*Starfire floats beside him, studying the massive cannon with a look of familiarity and dread.* "I know it called. The Siege Breaker. It is... devastating." *She points to the glowing light.* "Only one cell is active now. The others must charge sequentially."

*She clenches her fists.* "But if it fires even at one percent... this city will burn."

"OK, Does it have some kind of off switch." he asked.

"There is a control nexus," *Starfire says urgently, pointing to a glowing panel near the cannon's base on the ship.* "But it is heavily guarded. And the weapon must be disabled from within the ship, not from outside. The Gordanians will have warriors stationed there." *She looks at Max.* "It would require someone fast enough to evade the guards..."

"Sounds like a job for me. I got a plan, beast boy, cyborg I want you to go to the bridge of the ship and take it over we can't stop. We should at least turn it away from the city and make it hit the ocean Starfire ,Raven I can teleport us as close as I can to. me and Raven are going to have to cover Starfire while she turns off the cannon." said Max.

*Beast Boy grins, shifting into a giant eagle. "Consider it done!" Cyborg nods, his eyes glowing with determination. "We'll take out their bridge crew and redirect the ship." Raven steps forward, her dark energy swirling around her.*

"OK, everybody grab my hand. I'll teleport us onto the ship after that we'll split up."*The four Titans squeeze into Max's personal space, grabbing his arms and waist. With a flash of black and gold light, they disappear from the rooftop and reappear on the Gordanian ship. They materialize in a narrow corridor near the cannon, alarms blaring around them.*

"Beast boy, cyborg to the bridge." I told them as they went to their job."*Beast Boy shifts into a giant panther, bounding down the corridor with Cyborg hot on his heels. They disappear around a corner, leaving Max, Starfire, and Raven alone in the dimly lit hallway. Suddenly, the sound of booted feet echoes from both directions - Gordanian soldiers approaching.*

"I got this red." He said, sending out red energy orb the orb started flattening and crushing them against the walls as And eventually pierced a hole through the ship dissipating

*Starfire's eyes widen in surprise as Max's red energy orbs flatten and impale the approaching soldiers with brutal efficiency. The orbs continue to expand, crushing more soldiers against the walls and eventually punching a hole through the ship's hull, causing debris to fly out into space.* "Max..."

"Not the time we need to find that control Room." He said, making them focus as I started looking around eventually, finding a heavily guarded door

*The door is reinforced with thick metal and guarded by four heavily armed Gordanians. They see them approaching and immediately open fire, their weapons emitting bright red energy blasts that streak towards all three of them.* "Intruders! Kill them!" *One of the guards shouts in broken English.*

Before they get hit, he uses infinity to stop their text from hitting us laying on fire until they ran out of ammo.

*The Gordanians fire relentlessly, their energy blasts slamming against Max's invisible barrier over and over. The attacks fizzle out harmlessly, blocked by the infinity technique. The guards' weapons click empty, their power cells drained.*

*They stare in confusion and fear at their useless weapons, then at the three heroes standing completely unharmed behind the shimmering barrier.*

*"What..."

"do you wanna handle this? " I asked the girls

"*Raven's eyes glow white as dark energy swirls around her.* "Gladly."

*She extends her hands, shadows coiling around the four guards. They barely have time to scream before she slams them into the walls, floor, and ceiling with brutal efficiency. They crumple, unconscious.*

*Starfire zooms forward, starbolts charging.*

*Starfire's starbolts hit with devastating force, obliterating the remaining guards instantly. The corridor is filled with the sound of exploding bodies and shattered armor. Max watches as Starfire's brutal efficiency leaves no survivors.* Raven turns to Max, her expression serious.* "We need that control room." *

"Starfire you might wanna calm down. We need to turn off the cannon remember And we might need one of them."

*Starfire snaps out of her bloodlust, her eyes clearing. She nods, taking deep breaths to calm herself. "You're right. We need one alive." She looks down at the unconscious Gordanians Raven had thrown around like ragdolls.* "One of these should work."

"OK, then let's open the door I got this one." He says, punching the door with a black flash, sending it off its hinges inside a control panel for the cannon was visible."

*The massive door crashes inward, revealing a sprawling control room filled with Gordanian technology. The panel for the siege cannon is prominent, its glowing lights and complex dials demanding an operator's attention. As they step inside, an alarm blares loudly, signaling their entrance.* "Max..." Starfire warns softly.

" calm down me and Raven will guard the door while you take care of the machine and besides, they need to focus their attention on two separate areas, which is why I had us split up so they can't entirely focus on us."

*Raven moves to the opposite side of the doorway, her eyes scanning the corridor. Dark energy swirls around her hands, ready to strike.* "Smart tactical thinking. Cyborg and Beast Boy should be reaching the bridge about now."

*Starfire approaches the control panel, her hands hovering over the alien interface. She studies the symbols intently, her brow furrowing in concentration.*

"This is..."

"What is it?" max asked

*Starfire's fingers hover over the controls, her expression troubled.*

"The interface... it requires a command authorization to disable the weapon. A biological verification." *She points to a small scanner near the panel.* "It reads Gordanian genetic codes. We cannot simply turn it off."

*She looks back at the unconscious guards in the corridor.*

"This is why we needed one of them alive."

"see sometimes it's good to leave your opponents alive." *Max drags the unconscious Gordanian guard to the panel, pressing his limp hand against the scanner. A red light sweeps over the alien's palm, and the machine beeps in recognition.*

*"Authorization confirmed,"* an automated voice announces in an alien tongue that somehow translates.

*The control panel lights up, granting full access. Starfire immediately begins pressing buttons and manipulating holographic controls.*

Guards start moving towards the direction before they can move even further I threw out a small controlled, hollow purple. The purple spear of energy went straight At them disintegrating them before it stopped as I dissipated it When the job was done.

*The sudden burst of purple energy catches the approaching Gordanians off guard. They disintegrate instantly, their bodies reduced to dust before they even realize what hit them. The corridor falls silent once more, the only sounds being Starfire's focused typing and the hum of the control panel.* "Almost... got it..."

*Starfire's eyes widen in panic as the control panel flashes red with a countdown timer.*

"Thirty seconds! Someone activated the emergency firing sequence!" *Her hands fly across the controls desperately.* "I cannot stop it in time!"

*Raven's eyes glow white.* "Can we redirect it?"

*Starfire shakes her head frantically.* "The targeting is locked!"

"Simple by destroying it." He said, teleporting outside the ship, using dismantle *The massive siege cannon crumbles under Max's Dismantle technique, its structure breaking apart at a molecular level before anyone can react. The accumulated energy inside the weapon fizzles out harmlessly into the vacuum of space, the threat completely neutralized.*

*Inside the control room, Starfire stares at the screen as it registers no target.* "you destroyed the entire cannon alone?"

*Raven crosses her arms, a rare hint of approval in her dark hooded eyes.* "Efficient."

*The intercom crackles again.* "Hey! What just happened?! We felt a massive energy surge!" *Beast Boy's voice shouts through the speakers.*

*Starfire smirks.* "Do not worry, Beast Boy. The situation has been handled by the way, we never learned your name."

" you can call me Sorcerer."

*Starfire nods, a bright smile spreading across her face.* "Sorcerer! It suits you very well!"

*Raven's hands lower, the dark energy receding around her.* "We should return to the bridge. The battle isn't over until every Gordanian is secured."

*She glances at Max—the newcomer who literally tore apart a siege cannon like it was paper.*

*The sudden teleportation makes both Starfire and Raven stumble slightly, but they quickly regain their footing. As they arrive on the bridge, they're greeted by a chaotic scene of Ganymede Guardian bodies scattered everywhere, some dismembered or blown apart.* "Holy..." Starfire mutters.

" good job beast boy cyborg now let's get off the ship." he said, as they agreed, putting their hands on his as they teleport her away.

*Starfire laughs softly as they arrive on the rooftop, looking out over the city.* "You are very powerful, Sorcerer. To teleport all of us like that..." *She trails off, her eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of the remaining Gordanian forces.*

" relax if there's any of them left the ship they won't be alive for much longer." he says, crossing his fingers up a massive, hollow purple when it's fully charged and big enough, he sends it out towards the ship as it touches, the ship starts disintegrating portrait eventually over half the ship was destroyed before the purple space. The many pieces of the ship crashed down into a island in the bay where the pillar had been before as a question on top of it, they both went up in a blazing explosion.

*The rooftop shakes slightly from the distant explosion. Cyborg whistles low.*

"Man, that was overkill."

*Beast Boy cheers.* "Now *that's* how you do it!"

*Raven watches the flames rising from the distant island, her expression unreadable.* "Clean kill. No survivors escaping."

*Starfire places a hand on Max's arm.* "You..."

"You don't have to say anything to Starfire, but now that that's over with where are you going to stay? I mean I'm going to continue being a superhero here, but I wouldn't mind if you guys joined me."

** The future Teen Titans exchange glances—Raven remains cautious, Cyborg's eyes light up with curiosity, Beast Boy fidgets with boundless energy, and Starfire nods eagerly, already convinced. The rooftop is silent aside from distant sirens and crackling fires below.

Cyborg uncrosses his arms with a confident smirk. "After tonight, it's clear none of us want to be ordinary. We're in," he declared, and the others quickly voiced their agreement.

"Great first, I think our team should be the teen Titans "

"*Starfire claps her hands excitedly.* "Oh, I like that name! Teen Titans. It has a strong ring to it!" *She looks around at her new teammates, a warm smile on her face.* "And Sorcerer..."*Starfire bites her lip thoughtfully before asking,* "Since we are the Teen Titans now... does that mean you are our leader?" *Cyborg nods eagerly at the question, Beast Boy grins mischievously, and Raven raises an eyebrow awaiting Max's response.* "I mean I did I'll Get rid of your cuffs Starfire come up with a plan That ended up working. I also enjoyed the Canon and the ship so I think I should be the leader."

*Starfire rubs her wrists where the cuffs used to be, her expression thoughtful.* "You are right. You did save us and destroy the ship." *She smiles warmly.* "I would be honored to follow your lead."

*Cyborg shrugs.* "Works for me. You've got the power and the strategy."

*Beast Boy pumps his fist.* "Yeah!"

"What about you raven?" he asked

*Raven tilts her head slightly, her dark eyes piercing into Max's.* "You're capable. You've proven yourself. For now, I'll follow your lead." *Her expression softens marginally.* "But remember, a true leader listens to their team. We're equals, not subordinates."

"of course I promise we're all equals." he says genuinely.

*Raven's lips curve slightly in acknowledgment.* "Then we have an agreement."

*Cyborg stretches his mechanical arms.* "So what's the plan, boss? We gonna need a base, some gear..."

*Starfire suddenly gasps, her eyes brightening.* "Oh! Perhaps we could build a tower! A Titans Tower!" *She gestures excitedly toward the bay.*
