Chapter 14 - Chapter 13 when the pyramid spoke

Xeran stood on the palace balcony, lost in thought.

Below him, a reckless boy—trying to show off—suddenly grabbed another boy who had been passing by innocently and began beating him for no reason.

Crying out for his uncle, the injured boy ran toward Xeran's residence.

Xeran witnessed everything from above and immediately rushed downstairs.

The bully still showed no signs of stopping.

As he raised his hand again to strike, the smaller boy stepped forward.

With his right hand, he blocked the attack. In the same motion, he struck precisely at the nerve on the side of the bully's neck.

By the time Xeran reached them…

The bully had collapsed to the ground, unconscious—from a single blow.

Shocked, cheran gently placed his hand on the boy's shoulder.

"Who taught you that?" Cheran asked.

Rebecca took out a DVD she had bought during her visit to Chichén Itzá and placed it into the DVD player.

Beulah and Amanda sat together on the same sofa. David perched himself on the table.

Rebecca turned on the player.

Text appeared on the screen:

This is a true incident.

In 2009, a man named Hector from El Salvador visited Chichén Itzá with his wife and two daughters.

What he experienced there is documented in this video.

The text faded.

Hector appeared on the screen and began speaking.

"We visited Chichén Itzá as a family in 2009. The moment we saw the pyramid, we were all stunned. Suddenly, dark clouds gathered in the sky, and everything felt unusually dim. A light drizzle began to fall…"

His daughter then appeared on the screen.

"Our dad said we should leave quickly. Before that, he took two photos of me and my sister, with the pyramid right behind us."

Hector continued,

"After taking the photos, I checked my gallery. Both pictures looked completely normal.

Then I used my phone camera to take one more photo…"

His voice trembled slightly.

"In that photo… a rose-colored beam of light appeared to rise from the top of the pyramid straight into the sky."

"I was shocked. I looked back at the pyramid—but there was nothing visible to the naked eye."

His wife spoke next.

"When my husband showed me the photo, I couldn't believe it. Our daughters were terrified. We left the place immediately."

"When my husband showed the photo to others, no one believed us. They said it was edited—just graphics."

"But we knew it was real."

"To prove it, my husband handed over his phone for analysis. After thorough research, they confirmed that the image was authentic."

The video ended.
